@AlohaBiatch Design maybe. But price? No, it is ridiculously overpriced, as with their other coms. It is still terribly built. Such a shame from sony.
the corei7 on your vaio z is definitely faster since the VAIO z uses a full voltage processor and not some slow ultra-voltage crap like on the other ultrabooks.
wtf, sony vaioZ is definitely better, it is faster first becuz the acers motherboard is wayyy crappier than the sonys (even though sonys still sucks) and the sonyZ has a wayyyy better graphics card
faster than the vaio Z? ridicuolous, VAIO Z, especially the one at 4k$ is equipped with Ci7 standard voltage and superfast SSD hard disk and it is probably 10 times faster than this acer dear buddy!!!
I personally never spend over $550 for a laptop/netbook, and always make sure it's got a good AMD platform under the hood, and I will admit this ACER does look nice, but I just can't get behind it, with it being Intel based, and it's price tag.
Djhg2000 I totally agree with you on that. Before long if not at ces we will see a cellphone with higher resolution than this. Companies need to start catching up with the times.
@Djhg2000 For what you need a higher resolution? Just because of the number? What do you want with Full HD on a little Screen? Press your nose on the Tablet to find pixels? Come on! High resolution just eats energy and is totally useless. My 15" got 1440x900 and is totally sharp while Im working on it. For sure I can see a pixel, if I want.. if I press my face on the screen. But it wont be good for your eyes to go too close to the screen. ;) Better to have more battery+power than resolution.
@stepseldinski Then I guess I have exceptional vision since I can single out pixels on a 4.8" 1024x600 TFT screen.
And honestly, 1366x768 is a downgrade in vertical resolution from my almost 7 year old Dell notebook which had a resolution of 1280x800. I would had thought 7 years of screen development would've gotten us somewhere in terms of DPI...
see?? that looks like it's from star trek or something"...:D

If it wasn't for this ridiculous resolution of 1366x768 I'd want it.
We're seeing the launch of 1920x1200 tablets and yet high end laptops are stuck with this.
Oh why Acer why?
