Can I just say that Aaron Lewis does a great fucking job and I fucking love Metallica if it wasn't for them then I wouldn't be the person that I am today. Aaron and James are such a big inspiration on me and my music, They make great fucking songs, there voices are fucking incredable, and they inspire alot of people like myself. Metallica will always be my favorite band and everything they do is fucking great.

nothing really lives up to the original, but as a fan of staind and metallica, Aaron Lewis did a damn good job on this remake. he made it his own, just like metallica made Bob Segers "turn the page" their own! respect the art, and the artist instead of hating on the fact that it was something else before!
@jramirez001 Completely agree man. If an artist does a cover its personal opinion on which is better. Some people like the original some like the cover. For Turn the Page i prefer the Metallica version because i grew up listening to them and i didn't hear the Bob Seger version until recently. But neither one is bad by any means.
@Thedarkcountry yeah im gonna have to agree with you for sure, noone can ever play metallica as good as metallica, he did an ok job, but he needs to stick to singing country boy which he does amazingly.
They couldn't do the intro because of tv air time they gave to fir everyone in so all there song were cut in hafe thats why it was short and staind is a great fucking band they are greater then those emoe band who sit in there basement and hate there dads
I don't fucking care who you are, or how you think this performance was, to me, that was fucking badass. For most criticizing this, eat a dick cause you know you couldn't do that any better. Some probably can, and to that, good for you.
@ballsthatclank WTF.. Are u death? The performance was pretty empty- nothing to fill up the gaps caused by 2 lousy acoustic guitar players and yet the his singing could'nt even fill up these gaps.
@ballsthatclank James usually sings one octave lower during performances because it complements the song's build up. I believe he could reach an octave higher if he wanted to. If you observed this performance, Aaron was struggling to sing the chorus at that octave (dragging his voice too much). His mouth was barely opened during the whole performance!
@shf0606 you dont know what ur talking about there ! that voice sang all the emotions the lyrics have ! and his voice wasnt shaky at all he can reach higher notes... and acoustic guitar and singing is the whole concept of an acoustic cover !
@Forzaabruzzo - Fuck yes! I'd like to get him together with some other guys like Shaun Morgan, Brent Smith, Adam Gontier and Serj Tankian too. And J Loren from HURT! =)
@Forzaabruzzo You may very well know of it by now judging by your comments age but there is an acoustic cover of pink floyds comfortably numb that Aaron Lewis and Corey Taylor do which is amazing.

@MguitarB This is from the 2003 Metallica Icon show that was aired on VH1. As far as I know this was the only acoustic performance of the night. ok,i honestly thought this was gonna be horrible, because i never heard of Staind before, but as soon as he started singing it blew my mind. he should do back up vocals on Nothing Else Matters with Hetfield.
