Anyone who uses linux knows: all windows OS's are slow. If you Edit the services list in computer management, you can switch many automatic items to manual, which means they will not run on bootup. = faster boot times. Anyone who's comp takes more than five min to boot has some serious problems in their system! Also, did you notice his BIOS screen and post were not set to quickboot, where it skips all that and shaves boot up time down considerably... lol
Isn't it the point? To push the power button on your case and have the system booted up as fast as possible? So the BIOS thing is also the important part of it.
good clip thanks for it :) now if only my xp would boot that fast it takes like 2 minutes :'( and tat dont care about them haters saying they can boot faster and wont post videos :/ lol.
this can't say much about the computer, fast boot can be achived by using a good tweek software. i used one ( don't remeber the name ) and xp booted very fst, but no programams in the background wore launched (example winamp agent, utorent, antivirus). and i had a p4 @ 2.4GHz and 512RAM. win start up screen slider (the 3 lines that run acros the screen) took ontly 2.5-3 turns.
Yes and no. If you set up 2 harddrives in RAID 0 (stripping) they will be faster than 1 drive, because every file is then striped into two equal parts and saved on both drives, so when you access that file, it will be read from two drives together.
i get 12 seconds bc im on a Mac
