  • 240p we meet again

  • amazing band live also

  • Effing brilliant - saw them live in 1980 at Carlisle - they were great

  • Jimmy Jimmy

    Jimmy Jimmy - Oooh

    Jimmy Jimmy

Poor little Jimmy wouldn't let go

  • The first record I ever bought was by these guys back in '81. You watch this great stuff and you can only feel sorry for the kids today.

  • Jimmy Jimmy!!! :D

  • Yes, the Jam were great but not in the same league as these urchins. On a good night they really could raise the dead!

  • Liam Gallagher watch and learn, thats a Parka

  • wot can i say, parka and punk, only in NI !!!

  • the Undertones are the best band ever, I'm 14 and like this over any modern music, I often get my dad's records out and listen to the the Undertones.

  • @ollsllo

I'm 17 and feel the same way! I wish my parents listened to this stuff because I have to go out to old record stores and hunt it down! haha

  • @ollsllo get out your dads Jam records- the undertones are great but the jam are the biz!

  • @ollsllo Treat them with great care, some of them could be worth a few bob!!

  • I remember this from when it went out. I was 17. Im a bit pissed off that was 32 years ago though!

  • Pure JIMMY JIMMY the ultimate Jimmy Jimmy Band so funny so punk Fantastic

  • Indeed. Makes you realize what a pile of crapulous waste is 99% of the music spewed from the mouths of the geeks on "talent searches" - most of them aren't fit to grease the zip of Feargal's parka.

  • my 2 year old grandson loves this

  • Manchester Apollo 1981, my first gig where does the time go? Feargal give the O'neill brothers a call !!!!!!!

  • lv his look blue jumper parka brill lol

  • I was lucky enough to see theese around 1980. Feargal sharkeys voice is amazing.

  • great music not like the rap crap today

  • Gotta love ´em

  • QUALITY band and a fantastic TV show ........... X factor ? fuck off

  • jimmy fckin jimmy.....brilliant..!!!

  • People feels cool telling this is music...

  • this takes me back, good times

  • every time i hear the intro i think its the Jam..In the Street Today...any1 else..?

  • soon to be lord sharkey

  • Class!!

  • an all time classic pop song!

  • wheres the damian fella in this vid?

  • these were such great times..everything sounded so raw.. wonderful bloody times..

  • fergal looks like the guy from teardrop explodes in this

  • lol I had one of those parkers when I was at school.

  • @MindCrazedBanjo- lol did you ask for a fishtail parker and got an ordinary one instead

  • @kingsown88 Yeah you got it, everyone had the german ones with the green lining and the german badge on the shoulder, I ended up with a daft one with the Red lining and someone pulled the hood and the fur was hanging off!! aww well those were the days.

  • @MindCrazedBanjo Yeah same here.parents hey

  • real human voice, real music, energy,..ma son gets it, he 14, daughter no so sure..she will!! viva punk

  • The boys are really enjoying themselves here....no acting ......no computer enhancements......just raw energy and real music. . . .UP DERRY . . .UNDERTONES

    UNTOUCHABLE

  • Ah, one more thing: Old Grey Whistle Test, Beat Club, Rockpalast... so cool, not like the shite that's packed in mediocre shows like Top of The Pops or Live From Abbey Road.

  • sigh.

why couldn't my parents be really cool and listen to awesome bands like this and not make me have to discover them for myself?

    the world may never know.

  • he looks ace in his parker..

  • Peter Capusotto y Sus Videos

BTW I definitely LOVE this song!

  • those wwere the days, i used to love TOGWT.. better than the crap we get today... bloody T4, great performance..used to play this all the time..oh quality times..

  • happy days. saw the undertones about 2 dozen times and every gig was a riot!! this is TRUE, HONEST & REAL MUSIC - you can stick all the cheryl cole crap where the monkey keeps his nuts.

    Classic stuff!

    peace

  • I reckon the parka will be a "Lord Anthony" also in blue with pen holder on left arm. All over tyneside in 79

  • Saw them in 1979 at the Malvern Winter Gardens and ended up watching the cdoncert from on the stage, right next to Feargal Sharkey due to the crush at the front....Great memories....and oh yes, I've got this on green vinyl as well.

  • yeah but have yer got it in clear see through cover :)

  • I got this in Green Vinyl!

  • I remember seeing Stiff Little Fingers in Vancouver at the Commodore Ballroom.

They played this song introducing it as an Old Irish Folk Song.

  • This is 31 years ago and it's cooler than 99% of the crap out there.

  • @angvou 99.99%......!

  • @angvou probably because you are 31 or older and havent grown up with whats cool for us, personally theres little i dont like and i like this but there is a darn sight more than 1% of new music that is cool

  • @IamNFl

Haha I am indeed older than 31. And i guess yr right about there being more than 1% out there... I'm just sick of being bombarded with Beyonce and bullshit....

  • the xfactor got a lot to answer to with the shit they have come out with! this is talent!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • im 19, this is fucking class, dont lose faith, there are a few of us about who trully appreciate this stuff, just seen the damned and little feat, quality! I bloody hate xfactor and everything all that judge my bollucks tv stands for, turning my generation in self concious, self obsessed fuckwits

  • 18, agree with you totally this is excellent man the whole thing is brilliant! luckily they didnt have simon cowell running the bloody country at that time!

    we are the mods!

  • Seen en live open for Joe Jackson, musta been round this time or 80-81. Kicked major ass but heard they broke up a while later. Lots of busted up guitars after this and a very high powered set by 'JACKSON N BAND!!!

  • I want that parka =_=

  • Just left my 2 daughters downstairs watching xfactor....how can they ever understand....this was just so outstanding and stands the test of time.....will they ever want to know..guess not ...but we all know what a brill time this was...the best

  • So spot on. First gig I ever went to at Hammersmith Palais was the Undertones. Yes a brill time and proper original energised music.

  • @neilyox52 can fully understand you, music today has nothing on the likes of this,on a positive my friends 9yr old twin girls love the undertones

  • @neilyox52 Yes music so commercialised now, not the same...

  • @neilyox52 you've taken the words out of my mouth.

  • @mickt66 seen them many times in the 80's , great live

  • @neilyox52 they will understand if you just play the music, the 'attitude' comes later........

  • @neilyox52 Know what you mean but 1979 I was a 19 year old apprentice and the old lads at my work kept telling me that modern music was rubbish, it was so much better in their day and that the punk stuff would be forgotten in 20 years.

  • looked out my old records...have this one one green vynil...awesome...forgot how good it was

  • Lol. Oh yes. I've got mine in green vinyl as well. Found it in a Woolworths in Guernsey during a family holiday I had to suffer. Thought I had gone to heaven when I saw it was the 'limited edition' green one. Precious days.

  • has anybody got tha guitar tabs for this song? bloody brilliant song

  • If you need tabs for this song, you haven't got the skills to play it.

  • fuck me, if you need tabs for this you need to cut your teeth on something a bit easier mate - just play it by ear

  • bonisims!

  • nice spot fattyarse . i missed it.. a classic non the less..

  • any else notice he starts singing the 3rd verse at the start of the 2nd by mistake?

  • who cares 5 stars

  • the undertones knocked out some of the most perfect pop songs ever, god bless them

  • Can't believe I used to wear a parka like his!

  • i lOVE THIS; BEAMONDITO

  • Here's to us and those like us.

    d. hill

  • An ambulance took little Jim away -- can't be good for Jimmy and his mammy.

  • No its about suicide.

  • Anyone know if this song`s about jimmy puirsey from sham 69?

  • Wheraas there was, even at that stage, a common punk thread throughout the islands, I can assure you this was a song more in tune with some simple lad being pulled by the army in Derry than the vibrant cocksure jimmy pursy being reprimanded irrationally.

  • el estribillo me hace acordar a comunicado 166 de los violadores!!!!

  • love this song great video too love sue

  • tight sound

  • no way teenage kicks is a much much better song ! jimmy jimmy is still good though

  • dude they're both great like chosin between french fries and onion rings

  • my favourite undertones song - much more fun than teenage kicks!

  • poor poor lil jimmy ~

  • A great song. Its good to see a band thats all about the music rather than some twatish boy band that are more interested in looking good on the cover of a music magazine. Fegal sharky looks like he just walked out of millets, quality. 5 stars.

  • what a brilliant song, and only my comment on it...ffs fergal if you read this i expect a message back from you personally thanking me for being there for you all those years ago...

  • one of my favorite undertones songs
