  • hi, very nice model, im having abit of an issue with inventor atm, when i try to stitch a lofted object it will not work, any help? i can give more detail if you require :)

  • GOOGLE, (YOUR SEARCH + BLUE PRINT).

  • where did u get the measurements form plz reply cause i want to make the same plane but cant find the measurements anyway

  • someone knows where I can download scale planes for Inventor 2012 ?

  • Nice video.... BTW it doesn't look like a spitfire/mustang hybrig - it is Hawker Tempest from '42 :)

  • how long did it take to model this?

  • 3ds max or maya...hmmm, whats better, and tell me the pros and cons when comaring, don't just tell me 3ds max is better becuase you "have" it....

  • @KAPORALDANGER

I would be extremely thankful if you could make a longer slower version of this video because I found it difficult to follow all of the small steps involved to making this masterpiece.

  • it would be a lot more useful if you could explain what you are doing. everybody see that you are good, but it doesn't help us...

  • Breathtaking! that is amazing!, very inspiring aswell! :D 5*

  • can you compile the model that you make on the program in an .mdl?

    Thanks, great video

  • At the beginning it seemed like a series of lofts, but how did you turn splines into 3d surfaces? I'm an amatuer even though I've been using inventor for a while.

  • something thats not drawn on a mac

  • I am about 10 chapters in on my Autocad LT 2010 training disc and was feeling quite good knowing how to draw a few things.

Then I saw this, I said Damn him !!

My head is going to explode! Very nice video. I don't think I will ever get to your level but it is always a goal to achieve, My 55 yo brain is so jammed with crap I am not sure if there is any room left.,and what room is left I need to save for porn and other vital info.:)

  • wow thats really cool, ive been doing inventor for my 3rd year now, and their is no way im close to your level of skill, very good job. and by the way do you do any technical drawings or just mess around in inventor?

  • @fishordie92 Yes, I also do technical layouts, Clash detection, fea and so on... but it realy bores me. For the past two years, my job is to teach And train peolple on various softwares, so I rarely do any serious production drawing.

  • @KAPORALDANGER where did you get the dimensions for the plane...???

  • NICE WORK. YOU HAVE A GREAT DESKTOP BACKGROUND BY THE WAY! RELAXING.

  • u did dis on pivot?

  • @OLiVIEIRR .... Not shure what you mean by Pivot ?

  • @KAPORALDANGER lol dw, i was jk'ing

pivot is some crappy animation thing, just search 'pivot' on youtube. :)

  • @OLiVIEIRR pivot?? LOL

  • @OLiVIEIRR that made my day

  • excelente...

  • could you slow this down? Im really intrsted in modeling aircraft and i think this video can help. could you be good enough to take us aircraft buff in a step by step tut on building an aircraft? Please could you share the knowledge?

  • yeah it looks alot like the hawker tempest, nice video

  • looks more like a hawker tempest

  • What could I say... Magical.

    I have much to learn.

  • Very very good work

  • Just when I thought i had Inventor all figured out , I see something like this.

    wow

i had no idea you can make shapes like that.

Is the main body of the plane all one .ipt?

What is the technique to drawing this way.

The video goes by so fast I can't quite grasp how you do it.

    Thanks

  • yh it looks like a typhoon : )

  • Front looks like a typhoon

  • a.q adamlar öğrenmesin diye hızlandırmışlar

  • realy good work! i tryed to create a airplane with inventor but finely i wasnt able to make surfaces like these!

  • Excellent surface modeling work. Not the usual geometries we see made with Inventor.

  • Great Job :D

  • Great video - I love to see people use Inventor like this. Keep it up!

  • Nice work!!

  • Very good mate....Awesome modeling, and very good soundtrack...keep it up ;)

  • thank you for your prompt reply!

i can make a horizontal workplane intersect two cross sections i have already created from 3 views drawings, but i can not guide the rail from the interesection point of workplane and sketch of cross section drawing and then the next poing which should be the result of intersection of horizontal plane and next cross section's drawing! (sorry for confusing)!

  • very nice and hard job!

i'm trying to create an r/c F-5A this time but i have low knowlede on inventor.

I didn't understand how the very beginning of the project happened with the drawings and sketches very well coordinated in 3d space. Did you have cross section drawings and put them with workplanes on right potition ?

    thanks!

  • The answer is in your question.... develop you section views and guide rails in 3d space using work planes to create some sort of vectoriel skeleton. then its a matter of surfacing transition beetween those. finally stich everything into a solid.

    Thanks !

  • @KAPORALDANGER This was really inspiring I'm attempting to create a B2 Stealth Bomber, but like the previous person, my knowledge of the program is limited. My school has Inventor 2011, and a $20,000 3d printer which essentially makes a 3d concrete model of whatever we make in inventor. I've made and printed a scale model of a Yamaha Snare drum but that was easy, I'm looking to take it to the next level and make an aircraft like you. I'm curious as to where you got your training? College?

  • @KAPORALDANGER Is there a way for me to be able to import this aircraft in to Microsoft flight simulator

  • is it easier to model in inventor than for example Maya?

  • Its two different schools. Technicly Inventor is harder cause everything is modeled for production.... so no cuting corners heres.Everything is a parameter and you need to develop a lot of vectorial 2D .... Box Modeling or freeform modeling Is more intuitive, so in animation package its mo of a talent issue than a technical one (for modeling). But the best is to use both worlds in my opinion.

    Thanks !

  • Show everyone what you can do by inventor.

Congratulations on a great work ..

  • its look like not like a mustang or spitfire man its looks like HAWKER TEMPEST

    good job anyway

  • Good Job Dude!!!

  • not spitfire/mustang hybrid, it's hawker tempest ;-)

  • Perfect job!!!!

    Song title and artist?

  • thanks !

    Artist : Aalborg Fantasy Soundtracks

    Song : Dark Freeways

  • the music is awesome

  • ok so anyways were learning autodesk in my Intro To Engineering Class. I was wondering how to add weel movement or any movement ie. were making a train and we need it to move on tracks. were using AutoDesk Inventor 2009 and no1 in the class knows how to get it to move. idk if you need an extra program besides the design program its self or what. tnx,

    Travis

  • there's a lot of ways to do that. You can right clic a contraints and in the drop down menu chose ''drive constraint'' to make that constraint move and all its children. The best way would be to animate it by keyframing the constraint in the studio included in Inventor. If you have Inventor profesional you can run simulation. But your best guess would be to search in the help files to find Inventor Studio info.Go check out my channel, I did a lot of Inventor animation.GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR PROJECT!!!

  • is this the best program to modeling? actually I make my models in acad and then I export to max only for rendering...

  • there isa lot of good modeling software out there, but inventor is parametric ans offers realy precise way of modeling in ether solid or surfacing. I'n my mind it's one of the best. But if you use Autocad 2007 or better... you have a good tool right there.

  • awesome bro!

  • very nice! Well Done!

  • Nice one! Where did you get the texture? No Inventor Studio Render?

  • For the textures: I make them my self with Photoshop, then get them in Inventor. The rendering was done in 3DS Max.

    Thanks!

  • Nice, I added the movie to our blog.

Always love to see some real Inventor work in between the very easy stuff you see a lot here!

I added a video of my work...

  • Great stuff Kaporal!!

  • 10/10

  • very nice!

  • Holly Shit! Thats fast modeling !

  • Thanks !

the surfacing and modeling is pretty quick to do when you get used to the workflow. The long part is not shows in this video witch is the 2d drafting. the modeling part took arround an hours, but the 2d drafting part took at lest 2 hours.
