I can see how Rambo and McCain are similar. Especially the scene where Rambo is drooling, incoherent, mumbling and slipping in and out of consciousness.
lol, of course hes gonna change his mind on tax cuts when the top 1% are pumping millions of dollars into his campaign. Some of the biggest issues with American politics is the huge amount of corporate funding and lobbying corporations use to get whats in their best interest and not the average persons.
the rich orchestrated the scheme to destroy the middle class an to create the elite class...wars in iraq/afghan are paid 4 on the backs of the working middle class and poor/ while the rich got their tax cuts...it's the poor who get drafted...our sons who get their legs blown off and bodies blown apart...the rich just stand back and call all the shots and tell you guys (through Limbaugh and Beck) how much they care about you when in reality they dont give a RATS ASS about your well being.
The number of times McCain changed his mind is a clear sign that he would not be the one for president. Neither is Obama. They're policies are clearly not set to run this country. I believe that at least part of the change has to come from the people. That said, we need to bring back the artisans and authors, and home business makers that used to make up our society. Working by corporation doesn't work. I've written a book called "America vs. America" that discusses this and other issues.
the rich have no incentive to create jobs...if i got a millino dollars today would I go out there to create jobs? would you? 99.999% would probably just retire and live off the 1 million + interest. so why do the ultra rich want to create jobs? where they born with an itch to create jobs for strangers they don't even know? when you cut estate taxes, investment return taxes, and allow free trade so we can get cheap labor from the third world, there's even less incentive to create jobs!!
what you do is calculate how much you are taxed. then turn around get it right back. how you do that is up to you legal or not. just remember you can get it back. trust me on this.
America is not the richest country in the world. It ranks 8th in per capita income. Hate the wealthy? Give to the less fortunate? "Even the playing field" ? Others are:
Brazil $8,135
Venezuela $11,444
India $1,054
China $3,212
Norway $72,300
Luxembourg $88,000
USA $45,835
To even the playing field, we must "de-develop the USA/rich countries" , redistribute the wealth globally (take your income). How does socialism look to you now?
Well then let all the tax dollars collected from the 250k + earners go to the Republican agenda (nation building, big industry subsidies, and plenty bottles of 1945 Chateau Mouton-Rothschild Jeroboam) and let the 250k or less tax revenue go to Democrat agenda (more police & firefighters, better schools, health insurance, living wages for all etc, etc,) with both funds balance sheets on the internet to prevent scumbag politicians from stealing OUR money!
@GameICY No no it's better to go to greedy Rich Corporations then U.S. Government services. because having my house not burn down is socialism and evil.....! ( sarcasm btw but this is what the Republicans say I just cut out all the bullshit lies )
This little COWARD NEVER WAS A WAR HERO BOYS AND GIRLS HE WAS A FIRST COWARD SNITCH TO THE NORTH VIETNAMESE! HE COULDN"T SQUEEEEL ENOUGH TO GET OUR BOYS KILLED. THIS IS WHY YOU SEE THIS LITTLE COWARD SWITCHING HIS BIG VIEW ON THIS ISSUE, TAX CUTS...
First, the facts. Nearly the entire deficit for this year and those projected into the near and medium terms are the result of three things: the ongoing wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, the Bush tax cuts and the recession. The solution to our fiscal situation is: end the wars, allow the tax cuts to expire and restore robust growth. Our long-term structural deficits will require us to control healthcare inflation the way countries with single-payer systems do.
Under Eisenhower's presidency in the 1950s, the wealthiest Americans (who were not nearly as superrich as they are today) paid 87% income tax. Do you remember the Fifties, ppl? If I recall, it was a prosperous time...
@Harmasias yup, 50s 60s 70s, sure we had recessions, but those quickly recovered...this recession is gonna be tough to cure, because WE ARE BROKE, all of it went into tax cuts, and Iraq war...remember when bush asked for and easily 60 billion like every 3 month for the Iraq war? Now the GOP won't give 3.5 billion in unemployment insurance to 1.5 million americans, just shows you where the GOP's priorities are
The people who shout 'tax the rich' can't seem to understand that our economy is linked. If you raise taxes on business owners the burden gets passed right back to worker in the form of lost jobs and increased price of goods. You're taxing yourselves.
Obama is going to be a 4 year term president, here is why, 1 oil spill issue, 2 Immigration issue which he sent 1200 troops to Arizona so much for being a liberal?, and 3 Economy and unemployment rate is just staggering.
Ron Paul for president 2012, Stop watching Fox, Cnn, Msnbc, Nbc, Cbs and all does other mainstream media. IF you get your information from them, you already are being mislead. End The FED!!!!
@LatinLeo86 Ron Paul is against Government Health Care and is another only for the Rich Republican. sorry I want to go to the Hospital if im dieing without worrying about the bill. like in Europe and Canada and so does the other 70% of Americans....!
@METALMAN4Wii Yeah let the rich keep backing for all the lazy whites and niggers! Oh wait! thats already happens! Our government is a joke, democrats and replublicans are jokes! Go Tea Party Movement!
We need those Mom and Pop shops, as many as we can, It keeps the prices down for products. Also the money circulates, it doesn't end up going to one large company with greedy board members who end up deciding what a item should sell for.
I don't know about keeping prices down, but they seem like a more balanced approach. Companies like walmart make money by paying as little as they can to their suppliers and employees and then selling for cheap. Mom and pops, on average, pay more to suppliers and employees, while not necessarily offering cheaper prices and so not monopolizing the customers...the money doesn't end up so much in one place. Some people say that's more fair, some say one entity should have the chance to own all.
face it if the rich really really cared for anybody beside themselves they could pay people more money and take less for themselves...I mean do they really need a bonus for all the gruntwork everybody is doing FOR them...
it`s sad but its funny tho....the wealthiest 1% or whatever percent...are the minority...and the other 99% just sit back and do absolutely nothing to protest....if the US wasn`t so materialistic in their culture ppl wouldn`t care so much about being wealthy as they would about being comfortable....a multi-billionaire lets say of 2 billion...could afford to give 1000 families 1 million dollars each, something it takes some ppl a lifetime to earn, and still have another billion to live on...sad..
Some people live in a fairytale fantasy where the filthy rich love the poor and have the poor's interests at heart. Some people need to be awakened. The rich only care about themselves. Most of you will not benefit in the rich's decision-making. The rich want to get richer. They export jobs so that the jobless can buy things cheaper.
The rich only care about themselves , sure but in doing so they also create jobs whether you want to argue about it or not. You are correct , business owners usually don't reinvest into their business. They go and buy cars.. pools.. lavish items. But who do you think is building the car and putting in the pool?
Yes, people with enough money may have employees, but average joes with money go out and buy things (which also creates jobs). Money flowing around at all means there are going to be jobs. It's not necessary that very few people have almost all of it for businesses to exist.
That doesn't necessarily translate into the average person having more. The rich have the option of investing elsewhere, hiring day laborers for less than minimum wage, and whatever else will keep them rich. It's so ridiculously uneven, with billionaires on one side and homeless people on the other. What's so wrong with commiting enough of the rich's money to letting everyone have decent nutrition, medicine, and a warm bed? It's costly, but humane.
@MrTabby5000 Seriously man, I agree. Let's keep 90% of our countries wealth in 4% of the populations hands. No bad can come of that! Send those rich bastards to China to evade wages and taxes to cut jobs so we can import poisoned goods to sell at monopolies like wal-mart!! You make me proud to be a human being!
If you spread the money in the U.S. equally to everyone there would still be plenty of jobs created by small businesses popping up all over the place. Resetting the playing field would let true competition create amazing things. Most old money is from slavery, much old and even new money is from harming the environment, treating people poorly, etc. The rich aren't interested in making jobs, just money. It's not necessary to create many jobs in the U.S. or anywhere to do that.
Creating jobs is just a by-product of rich people trying to get richer. As much as they can automate jobs, squeeze their employees for as much work per dollar as they can, they will. It's not their goal to give their money to others (employees), but to end up with more and more. If a person believes there are finite resources in the world, you can watch as fewer and fewer people own a larger and larger percentage of the world because of taxes like these.
I find that a lot of the largest corporations are the ones that create the minimum wage jobs fit for non-dependant having teenagers: walmart, mcdonald's, etc.
The American dream isn't to work for someone else the rest of your life, it's to own your own business. Keeping things so unbalanced doesn't help the average person do that. Also, there's no guarantee that the rich owning more and more will mean anything good for everyone else. There are countries where a few rich own every business and place to live and the rest of the population basically has to be their slaves. I met a man from Zimbabwe who basically owned slaves.
He owns an estate, has guards and a family lives in a shed in back. They do anything he says and will never be given enough to be able to build up anything. If they don't want to work hard just for the basic support to live, someone else will.
the top 1% of taxpayers pay 1/3 of all tax revenue. The top 10% pay 65% of the revenue, so of course loop holes benefit the rich. from investors business daily
There is NOT a 5% of rich people. Not in America not in Europe... Maybe in Suadi Arabi or places like that. Many people (inside the 5%) who make 250,000 a year are actually little or medium size companies with a dozen workers or so. Warren Buffet, Larry Page, etc are not even a 0.001%. So STOP lying, please.
America is fucking stupid cause everyone lives off fucking credit. I want to hurl my remote at the TV whenever I see commercials saying "why am I in debt?" STOP SPENDING MONEY YOU DON'T HAVE YOU IDIOTIC FUCKS.
I saw some video called unbroke on tv with will smith and cedric the entertainer and shit explaining things liek why you only need one credit card and why subprime morgages are bad. what a joke.
Now if McCain was a democrat Bush and the RNC would call him a flip flopper. Historically speaking he's a hypocrite.
"Thi is class/income discrimination at its finest. "
Tell you what, if all my required expenses, food, cost of living, trans, health insurance, etc, was less than 1% of my total income I wouldn't be making party donations so that I could keep even more money.
All rich people do is try to make more than the next rich person to see who has the bigger dick.
Wouldn't it be fair for 31% of the taxcuts to go to the richest 1% if they pay half of all federal income taxes? This is class/income discrimination at its finest.
the 1% don't pay half of the federa income taxes. The more you make, the more loop holes and credits there are that make it possible to pay little or no taxes. 61% of the nations corporations pay NO TAXES.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I got news for this idiot who posted this video.....in relation to the last frame of information saying that 58% of tax cuts go to the wealthiest 1%. The wealthiest 1% pay 60% of all taxes in this country, and I know because I fit in that bracket.
If we look at income Growth by Quintile, we find that from 1950-1978, the income growth of the lowest 20% grew 138%, the income of the 2nd 20% grew 98%, the income of the 3rd 20% grew 106%, the income of the 4th 20% grew 111%, and the income of the highest 20% grew 99%.
Whereas from 1979-1993 the income growth of the lowest 20% grew -15%, the income of the 2nd 20% grew -7%, the income of the 3rd 20% grew -3%, the income of the 4th 20% grew 5%, and the income of the highest 20% grew 18%.
When the top tax rates were truly high from 1950 to 1978, American income at all levels grew at about the same pace.
But when progressivity was lost in the 80s, the income of the poor began falling, while that of the rich continued growing.
Personal income tax rate for the top bracket in 1945 was 91%, from 1946 - 63 was 88%,from 1964-81 was 70%, from1981 - 86 was 50%, in 1988 was 28%, and in 1991 was 31%.
Before 1917 was 7% and before 1913 was 0%. Did you know that between 1950 and 1970 unemployment rates in European Union were 4 or 5 times lower than in America? In those years American economy was build around military industry complex (Roosevelt spent 42% of GDP in WWII), wars, high taxation, and consumption, which eventually led to abandon gold monetary discipline and reckless fiscal policies. Not a manufacture economy anymore. And the government share of GDP is now much higher than ever.
So again, why do people have a problem with disproportional tax breaks for the rich, but are perfectly ok with the rich PAYING a disproportional amount of taxes (top 5% wage earners pay about 50% of taxes and top 50% wage earners pay about 95% of taxes)??? If it's "fairness" you really want (LMAO) then everyone should pay the same percentage. By the way: psssst, these videos are not all that "brave".
@TexasReb93 Saved us from depression, Equal Pay for Women, DADT Repealed, 911 Responders Health Bill, New START Treaty Ratified, On Schedule in Iraq, Health Reform, Wall Street Reform, Lower Taxes, Better Image in the World...
You SheepFuckers only see what McCain tells you to see. He has FLIP-FLOPPED on EVERY TOPIC presented to him. As long as he keeps CHANGING HIS ANSWERS, he's bound to ACCIDENTALLY STUMBLE into the right one!
McCain is THE MASTER at telling ppl what they want to hear! But IGNORE ALL THAT!
you guys are dip fucks listen to what obama is doing now delaying taxing the rich because of the economy.. haha listen to mccain all along and he was right the whole time. taxing the rich = no job opportunities also taxing the rich = poor economy because the rich makes our nation grow... obama told wat everyone wanted to hear, mccain just was telling the straight up truth!
And please no comments about me trying act as if I'm better than anyone else because of what I do. I honestly think we shouldnt judge others based upon what you do for a living. As long as you work hard (and its legal) and disciplined, than i respect you all the same. But when we use the term "rich" lets keep in mind they are different stratificaitons...
And why use the term "rich"? Its like saying "you people". There are many different levels. Sure a physician, VP, and an attorney are considered "rich", but they are so different. Obviously I am a little biased as im a 2nd year surg. intern. But the taxcuts among the high insurance rates will further hurt physicians (esp. the OB and gen. surgeons). Yes its easy to say "you make more, so pay more"...EASIER said than done. You spend as much time as I do at my job then tell me how you feel.
EVERYONE wants more money, not matter what level. Why do you think our country is in such debt? both at the federal level AND personal? Too many citizens want more than they can afford and it builds up.
I say taxes should be decreased for all americans because even those who are wealthy or have thousands of dollars of pay every week or 2 still end the month with less then $200 for themselves due to bills.
do you know how much taxes they have to pay? they work hard for their money, just like everyone, but they were fortunate enough to get ahead in life, which is the american way. the rich pay the most in taxes anyways. you are retarded to give the poor tax cuts when they dont even pay taxes to begin with!
TO SUM UP ALL THE HATE COMMENTS...GET OVER IT AND LET GO OF THE PASS. BE THANKFUL McCAIN-PALIN DIDNT WIN BECAUSE WE WERE ALREADY HEADING FOR DESTRUCTION. WE HAD A ANGRY P.O.W, A NAUGHTY M.I.L.F, AND YOU BETTER BELIEVE BUSH WOULDVE STILL BEEN IN THE HOUSE TOO...WE WOULD'VE SUFFERED ANOTHER 4 YRS JUST TO LEARN A LESSON. THAT RASICM SHIT ISNT WORKING AS YOU CAN SEE. CHANGE IS ALREADY HAPPENING 349-173 ELECTORAL VOTES! YOU CAN TWIST THE FACTS BUT THE NUMBERS DONT LIE ;-)
85% of McCain's tax cuts are slated for only the top 1% of taxpayers - the top elite corporate wealth-holders. They didn't "work their way up from the bottom." They inherited their wealth.
These "free market" corporate fat cats receive billions in big government subsidies, at our expense, and then ship jobs overseas.
Gee I guess George Soros doesnt need to worry about HIS taxes. He can always keep his earnings in an overseas account, or maybe even Bahamian. Liberals are such naive fools. Somehow the Dems have gone from being the party of the working class the the party of the non workers, self haters and anti Americans.
NO the problem is not Joe the Plumber with his dreams, its naive fools who think they have no dependence on the earnings of investors or discretionary income of those better off than they.
The real problem is the "Joe the Plumbers" out there. The "one day I might be rich and wouldn't it be sad if my taxes were higher" crowd. Joe the Plumber insinuated that he would be buying a plumbing company that would put his earnings up into a bracket that he was concerned Obama might not protect. Let's look at facts, Joe makes 40,000 a year and 6 years ago when he was hired his interview "touched" on him buying the company. More proof of how GOP is convincing people it screws to pipedream
I like how the statistics quoted are from the Center for American Progress! That's like asking Burger King for honest statistics on McDonalds' hamburgers.
Everyone needs to look at ALL of the information...THEN form a hypothesis on policy. Too many people advance an ideology first then find media snippits to support their views.
Libertysmouthpiece, did you actually see the whole video...or even the first minute? McCain says himself that the Bush tax cuts were too tilted toward the wealthy. That's why he originally voted against them. So is John McCain part of the liberal media conspiracy too? Republicans like to dismiss anything that isn't from The Wall Street Journal, Rush Limbaugh, and Fox News. And those are the three most biased forms of media out there!
I watched the entire video. I also wasn't trying to dismiss the point of anything not reported by the Wall Street Journal or Fox news or commented on by Rush Limbaugh... just pointing out the bias in what bravenewfilms chose as a source. Remember... even the center looks like it's to the right when you're on the left.
McCain is a two face. Obama is advocating what MCCAIN VOTED for for years and FOUGHT FOR. But McCain is on a ticket where the conservatives hate him and mocked him when he won the ticket. So he works with the Bush team that said his adopted daughter was his love-child, and lies and says anything he can to trick people into voting for him. And Republicans and Conservatives are shutting their eyes to his long history and pretending he's not talking out the other side of his face.
Right, when Obama's people mistate the $250,000 level, which he has been COMPLETELY consistent about and put in writing repeatedly--their showing the super-secret plan behind the lies. But when McCain says "keeping taxes low will mad a bad economoy worse" that's just an honest mistake.
Agreed, same old chesnut we've been hearing for years (since Regan), so why then are we not ALL rich already. It's a scam for fat cats to get to keep almost every penny of their gains, yet it's ok for them to pillage the tax fund when they nearly bring the country to ruin with cowboy tactics on Wall Street. osen't mean anything anyway cos McCain will never get anywhere near the White House, except if he buys a ticket and takes a tour. He might even get to meet Obama if he's good!
All you need is to compare the old plan to the current, Obama will have the bottom rate of $0 - $6000 single and $0 - $12000 married @ 10% , replaced with the old, Single - $0 to $27050, Married - $0 to $45200 @ 15%, The current simplified rates of 10,15,25, and 33% will revert to 15,28,31,26, and 39.6%. This doesn't include Obama's tax increases he needs to pay for all of his social programs. The question isnt whether the Rich get Richer, The question is how much do you want the Poor to Pay.
It turns out Sen. John McCain foresaw the impending Fannie Mae / Freddie Mac Mortgage Crisis more than two years before it happened, and co-sponsored legislation that would have required greater oversight of the mortgage lending entities. But, of course, that legislation was torpedoed by the Democrats, never making it out of committee. Obama did nothing to speak out at the time in behalf of the legislation
Obama was with them, pressured banks to lend money to those that could not afford a mortgage. How can we trust Obama to lead America when he was part of the problem. How is it that Obama was the second biggest receiver of campaign contributions from Freddie and Fannie if he was a senator for two years. Chris Dodd was the first and he has been in office way longer then Obama. Could it be that it was his involvement with ACORN?
Me too, Each family member I have has his and her own house. I have twelve cars. If McCain is president I will have enough to buy my daughter a jet. She hates "Jetpooling" with her older sister. I mean this is america.
DOC is one of the DJ's on a radio station in Florida. He tells jokes about all four candidates, but gets hate mail and threats if he dares say anything against Obama.
Obama fanatics are anti-free speech. They attack anyone who questions or criticizes.
"I've been self employed for 22 years. About 18-19 of those years, my family and I SACRIFICED so much. At a young age, when I started, while my friends were having fun, weekend fun, spring breaks, etc., I was WORKING 100+ hours per week. FINALLY 22 years later, I'm enjoying the benefits of all the HARD WORK and sacrifice, Obama wants to TAKE my money and give it to those that did little or nothing!"
hehe ohh man why cant people just pay tax.. in mad countries the tax is really high and liek i know its tough but that extra stuff doesnt have to be bought liek tax is tax just stop complianing ans pay! OBAMA 08 =]
"I cannot in good conscience support a tax cut in which so many of the benefits go to the most fortunate among us, at the expense of middle-class Americans."
--John McCain, explaining why he voted against Bush's 2001 tax cuts
Now those tax breaks for the wealthiest Americans are the cornerstone of McCain's economic policy.
McCain had honor back in 2000, before his sold his soul to the corporate lobbyists who now run his campaign, and dictate his policies.
When your paychech goes down because of Obamas taxes blame yourself. It's impossible to lower taxes in this economy. When you get paid off because Obama raised the taxes on the company you work for blame yourself again. They need to raise the voting age to 25. As much as I despise McCain he is just barely better than the con man.
Tax Cuts? They can start by stopping the tax on savings interest and tax REFUNDS. These politicians are all full of crap. Re-write the tax law and let the common people write off common expenses. Give us an incentive to save energy, money and other resources. We are still in a spend-more-than-we-earn state of mind because the incentive is to spend and not save. After the feds tax the heck out of every bit of income and then add inflation and the falling dollar, we are in a negative economy.
i see it like this thats why i dont vote. cause people will say if i vote democrat im a slave if i vote republican im with the people that voted for bush and thats why we are here with a broken Economy i figure who care's talk is cheep show me some thing to make me Believe that i should vote its just like mac vs pc ps3 vs 360 or maybe thats just me
i see it like this thats why i dont vote. cause people will say if i vote democrat im a slave if i vote republican im with the people that voted for bush and thats why we are here with a broken Economy i figure who care's talk is cheep show me some thing to make me Believe that i should vote its just like mac vs pc ps3 vs 360 or maybe thats just me
dont be an idiot ... your a slave if you dont vote
Republicans have had the last 8 yrs. controlling the White House. They have controlled the congress since 1994 until January last year. This mess we
're in now is a result of Republican rule for many years. The rish get richer, the poor and middle class got screwed. Obama will level the playing field and make the wealthy pay more for the war if they want to blow $10Billion a month on war while running up the national debt. I'm amazed that anybody could vote Republican in 2008. 4 more years?
republicans can rule is a fucking idiot!!!!!! hes not even giving the tax cuts to the people any of us work for...hes giving it to the top 1% the greediest motherfuckers on the planet. the oil companies, media, and other corporate giants. 95% of small businesses make less than 250,000 a year which whould be covered by obama. so fuck you "republicans can rule"
Redistribution of wealth? What the fuck do you think taxation is? What a joke to think that this is a fair country where the rich get richer while the poor suffer. If you tax, do so accordingly with income.
"Did you ever get a job from a POOR person??/NO!! Redistribution of wealth! the words spoken by Obama!"
In NY state the candidates are promising to reduce taxes for businesses because taxing the "rich" and businesses has caused so many companies to leave NY, AND THAT has caused so many people to lose their jobs in NY! Obama's TRICKLE-UP-POVERTY plan is a very bad joke.
Obama and Biden are smart, calm, even tempered and well able to lead the country and uplift our presence on the world stage. He has real advisors, not one plumber offering foreign policy advice.
The spurious arguments cited about birth records and other nonsense are just meant to make people afraid. Obama has been extensively vetted by the FBI and intense scrutiny over the course of this LOOONG election.
Poor John McCain has passed his prime. Perhaps the grueling election has affected his judgment. Palin and McCain are both too impulsive and lack long term thinking ability. Obama/Biden '08
Cant we learn that when you give a break or bail out to corporate america the funds are not allocated correctly. Corporate greed put us here and corporate greed can keep us here. Help the middle class get back on track and start spending again. McCain doesn't learn from his mistakes, this is how we measure intelligence, please show yours, vote obama
They will make the appropriate moves at the cost of the Little Man. This is not a Theory this is a FACT! McCain needs to make this point. He needs to explain to the people that Tax increases on the Rich do not affect the Rich. They affect the Poor and the Middle class. The consumer is forced to pay for the Big Mans lost earnings. McCain needs to drive this point home, or as I fear this election is lost and maybe even our jobs!
When McCain talks about tax cuts, Obamas response is Tax cuts for the rich dont trickle down and its a failed Bush policy Occasionally true. BUT the FACT is that if you take from those who provide (The Rich as Obama puts it), THEY WILL make the necessary changes to maintain their profit by increase prices, reduce benefits, lay off workers, or any combination, to maintain theyre living standard.
Ya great idea.... Give big corporations more tax cuts so that they can cut their exectuives 40 millions dollar bonuses at the end of the fiscal year and still manage to lay off large portions of their work force.
Corporations don't drive Capitalism. The working class does when they need a product/service, assuming they have money to pay for it. Thats how jobs are created. Lets give the tax breaks to the people who actually put money back into the economy-not the rich.
We need more programs like that socialist Ronald Reagan's Earned Income Tax Credit.
Voted against the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday; later said that he didn't know much about MLK at the time, and that "I had not really been involved in the issue."
well your just a fucking idiot. do you think that taxes go to some government bank account to gain interest and pay the president solely? we NEED higher taxes to make the schools better, increase the standard of living for ALL americans, put money into alternative energy, among other things. and to call obama osama is just ridiculous. his name is from his muslim dad, whom was not a part of his life, and obama is a stout christian and has been his whole life. stop slandering asshole
Hey gmitch3066 - who said anything about taxes? I don't make enough to pay taxes... that's why I want Obama to be pres... so I can get some of YOUR money. Share the wealth, baby! Taxes schmaxes... as for oSama vs oBama... happens all the time, get used to it.
well if you had any speck of intelligence then you would know that the only way for government to get your money is through taxes and why are you gonna compare obama with osama, thereby calling him a terrorist, and vote for him. people like you shouldnt be allowed to vote.actually you shouldnt even have a computer to post shit like that
HAHAHA I know right? I love the way you wrote oSama instead of oBama! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA and i really love the way that McCain will kill off the lower and middle classes to the point of ruining common society as we know it!!! BWahahahahahaha!!! And that will turn the worlds trading business into a pile of shit suckers! hahahahahaHAHAHAHAHAHA yea cuz every ones a capitalist right???
nestanick7 - I don't know what McCain is going to do, but Obama promises to make my hard luck life easy... or at least make it so we are all on the SAME. Share the wealth, right? I deserve it too. So I didn't finish highschool - not my fault. I had a kid and dropped out. I can't keep a job but hey - Why should ANYONE be living in a big freakin' mansion, while I'm in an old 2 BR trailer. Move over you mansion dwellers -- me and my babies are moving in with you!

America is not the richest country in the world. It ranks 8th in per capita income. Hate the wealthy? Give to the less fortunate? "Even the playing field" ? Others are:
Brazil $8,135
Venezuela $11,444
India $1,054
China $3,212
Norway $72,300
Luxembourg $88,000
USA $45,835
To even the playing field, we must "de-develop the USA/rich countries" , redistribute the wealth globally (take your income). How does socialism look to you now?

First, the facts. Nearly the entire deficit for this year and those projected into the near and medium terms are the result of three things: the ongoing wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, the Bush tax cuts and the recession. The solution to our fiscal situation is: end the wars, allow the tax cuts to expire and restore robust growth. Our long-term structural deficits will require us to control healthcare inflation the way countries with single-payer systems do.

On a side note...
Under Eisenhower's presidency in the 1950s, the wealthiest Americans (who were not nearly as superrich as they are today) paid 87% income tax. Do you remember the Fifties, ppl? If I recall, it was a prosperous time...

We need those Mom and Pop shops, as many as we can, It keeps the prices down for products. Also the money circulates, it doesn't end up going to one large company with greedy board members who end up deciding what a item should sell for.
JAMFILM1 1 year ago
I don't know about keeping prices down, but they seem like a more balanced approach. Companies like walmart make money by paying as little as they can to their suppliers and employees and then selling for cheap. Mom and pops, on average, pay more to suppliers and employees, while not necessarily offering cheaper prices and so not monopolizing the customers...the money doesn't end up so much in one place. Some people say that's more fair, some say one entity should have the chance to own all.

it`s sad but its funny tho....the wealthiest 1% or whatever percent...are the minority...and the other 99% just sit back and do absolutely nothing to protest....if the US wasn`t so materialistic in their culture ppl wouldn`t care so much about being wealthy as they would about being comfortable....a multi-billionaire lets say of 2 billion...could afford to give 1000 families 1 million dollars each, something it takes some ppl a lifetime to earn, and still have another billion to live on...sad..
TheLiselErienne 1 year ago
Some people live in a fairytale fantasy where the filthy rich love the poor and have the poor's interests at heart. Some people need to be awakened. The rich only care about themselves. Most of you will not benefit in the rich's decision-making. The rich want to get richer. They export jobs so that the jobless can buy things cheaper.
Dahnje 2 years ago 3
The rich only care about themselves , sure but in doing so they also create jobs whether you want to argue about it or not. You are correct , business owners usually don't reinvest into their business. They go and buy cars.. pools.. lavish items. But who do you think is building the car and putting in the pool?
Rzaforshiza 2 years ago
Yes, people with enough money may have employees, but average joes with money go out and buy things (which also creates jobs). Money flowing around at all means there are going to be jobs. It's not necessary that very few people have almost all of it for businesses to exist.
newguy33X 1 year ago
When the wealthy get a tax cut the economy grows like a weed.
MrTabby5000 2 years ago
That doesn't necessarily translate into the average person having more. The rich have the option of investing elsewhere, hiring day laborers for less than minimum wage, and whatever else will keep them rich. It's so ridiculously uneven, with billionaires on one side and homeless people on the other. What's so wrong with commiting enough of the rich's money to letting everyone have decent nutrition, medicine, and a warm bed? It's costly, but humane.
newguy33X 1 year ago
How many here got a job from a poor person or someone on welfare?Just answer the question please.
MrTabby5000 2 years ago
Lol, Not me but I'm not sure how that justifies such a lopsided ratio but maybe you can inform me.
I don't have the statistical data but I would bet that 1% of America is not responsible for the jobs of the other 99%.
I also would bet that small businesses do a lot more for our economy and I'm sure they are not represented in that 1% at all.
I need to do more research because if that is the type of tax cut distribution we need to sustain our system then maybe we need a new one.
phenomenon717 2 years ago
@MrTabby5000 Seriously man, I agree. Let's keep 90% of our countries wealth in 4% of the populations hands. No bad can come of that! dietcocaine22 2 years ago
you see why the wealthy need a tax cut. They create jobs.
MrTabby5000 2 years ago
If you spread the money in the U.S. equally to everyone there would still be plenty of jobs created by small businesses popping up all over the place. Resetting the playing field would let true competition create amazing things. Most old money is from slavery, much old and even new money is from harming the environment, treating people poorly, etc. The rich aren't interested in making jobs, just money. It's not necessary to create many jobs in the U.S. or anywhere to do that.
newguy33X 1 year ago
Thats bullcrap only the wealthy creates job,as for them mom and pop stored they are minimum wage jobs for teenagers.
MrTabby5000 1 year ago
Creating jobs is just a by-product of rich people trying to get richer. As much as they can automate jobs, squeeze their employees for as much work per dollar as they can, they will. It's not their goal to give their money to others (employees), but to end up with more and more. If a person believes there are finite resources in the world, you can watch as fewer and fewer people own a larger and larger percentage of the world because of taxes like these.
newguy33X 1 year ago

The American dream isn't to work for someone else the rest of your life, it's to own your own business. Keeping things so unbalanced doesn't help the average person do that. Also, there's no guarantee that the rich owning more and more will mean anything good for everyone else. There are countries where a few rich own every business and place to live and the rest of the population basically has to be their slaves. I met a man from Zimbabwe who basically owned slaves.

And why use the term "rich"? Its like saying "you people". There are many different levels. Sure a physician, VP, and an attorney are considered "rich", but they are so different.

Yep that's the reality that most of the Obama voters haven't faced yet.

Just the facts folks.
SunnyKid975 3 years ago

NewDirection4us 3 years ago
republicans can rule is a fucking idiot!!!!!! hes not even giving the tax cuts to the people any of us work for...hes giving it to the top 1% the greediest motherfuckers on the planet. the oil companies, media, and other corporate giants. 95% of small businesses make less than 250,000 a year which whould be covered by obama. so fuck you "republicans can rule"

Did you ever get a job from a POOR person??/NO!! Redistribution of wealth! the words spoken by Obama!
republicansrule 3 years ago
Redistribution of wealth? What the fuck do you think taxation is? What a joke to think that this is a fair country where the rich get richer while the poor suffer. If you tax, do so accordingly with income.
IntractableMonkey 3 years ago
You're right republicansrule:

FaJingPower 3 years ago
Yeah, I know. When I heard about that, I just started laughing. He has a proven idiot campaigning for everything under the sun with him.
IntractableMonkey 3 years ago
The spurious arguments cited about birth records and other nonsense are just meant to make people afraid. Obama has been extensively vetted by the FBI and intense scrutiny over the course of this LOOONG election.
Poor John McCain has passed his prime. Perhaps the grueling election has affected his judgment. Palin and McCain are both too impulsive and lack long term thinking ability. Obama/Biden '08
FaJingPower 3 years ago
Cant we learn that when you give a break or bail out to corporate america the funds are not allocated correctly. Corporate greed put us here and corporate greed can keep us here. Help the middle class get back on track and start spending again. McCain doesn't learn from his mistakes, this is how we measure intelligence, please show yours, vote obama
skully68 3 years ago
They will make the appropriate moves at the cost of the Little Man. This is not a Theory this is a FACT! McCain needs to make this point. He needs to explain to the people that Tax increases on the Rich do not affect the Rich. They affect the Poor and the Middle class. The consumer is forced to pay for the Big Mans lost earnings. McCain needs to drive this point home, or as I fear this election is lost and maybe even our jobs!
Psychoart11374 3 years ago
yea that's the reality. Tell it to the naive democratic voters
YouTupertje 3 years ago
When McCain talks about tax cuts, Obamas response is Tax cuts for the rich dont trickle down and its a failed Bush policy Occasionally true. BUT the FACT is that if you take from those who provide (The Rich as Obama puts it), THEY WILL make the necessary changes to maintain their profit by increase prices, reduce benefits, lay off workers, or any combination, to maintain theyre living standard.
Psychoart11374 3 years ago

Ya great idea.... Give big corporations more tax cuts so that they can cut their exectuives 40 millions dollar bonuses at the end of the fiscal year and still manage to lay off large portions of their work force.

PLEASE SPREAD the WEALTH!!!
(McCain's Trickle Down has failed)
Corporations don't drive Capitalism. The working class does when they need a product/service, assuming they have money to pay for it. Thats how jobs are created. Lets give the tax breaks to the people who actually put money back into the economy-not the rich.
We need more programs like that socialist Ronald Reagan's Earned Income Tax Credit.
