I think Gackt's character (from an odd perspective) kind of got screwed so to speak. My interpretation of this is the following.

Mana-sama killed his lover-wife-mistress because the character was in love with him. The other man slit his wrist's and while it may appear tragic, he was probably laughing. He died joining her in death, while leaving Gackt behind with Mana. Sorry if tht seems weird, just my point of view

I think I know why Kami had cut his wrist in the second part - they had watched that actor in white satin cut his wrist - Kami used that same imagry to make Gackt understand that he was destroying a beautiful thing by his actions while she was suffering.

Just a vibe I get from him. Kami's character is always kinda in the background watching everything, he looked upset (jealous?) when Gackt beat him in the swordfight, and he looks rather contemptuous when he was cutting his wrist in front of Gackt. And in the PV, he was sort of all in darkness, and was holding cards that looked similar to Kozi's Tarot cards in the movie. Anyway, just my thoughts, movie was still great. ^_^
