I never thought about a partyless system before, but that idea make A LOT of sense to me. I think it would remove a lot of bias people have towards a particular candidate, either bias for or against, based solely on what party they are affiliated with. I think it would get significantly more people to vote based on meaningful issues, although a partyless system, in itself, isn't a complete solution. It's a good first step towards cleaning up the system though.
I thought his closing speech was very inspirational.
