  • the real mary didn't marry... yeah

  • @Darren50001 yea real mary never married or had kids.. But she did get blind.. :)

  • Wow, never seen beforw that brides got their nails done up like that...were french nails in fashion in the end of 1800's?

  • Neither the actor in Adam or the actress in Mary were ever blind. THey were just following what Laura Ingalls Wilder said in her books, if there was one about something like this involving her sister, the man she met. THere was a book by the daughter Rose that did have the family together before Laura, Almonzo, and Rose all had to move away, and it did say Mary and Adam being blind.

  • @Darren50001 ...What are you talking about? The real Mary was never married, so Rose certainly couldn't have written a book about it. Mary lived with her parents in De Smet, SD, until their deaths and died a few years after Caroline.

  • @pegasigirl2010

I didn't know the real Mary was never married, I thought the show was based on the book, but I guess it was loosely based with a few other elements added to it. I'm not too familiar with the LIttle House book series, and not sure how many was even written telling the Ingalls' lives. I saw in one book that said Laura was about 15, going for her teacher's exam, and became like a young teacher in some town 12 miles from home and just met Almanzo, not sure if they were courting.

  • just so that retarded people like you can write retarded comments snubbs999

  • What a cute little ending

  • LOVED the earlier little house on the prarie films XD all sooo grown up now!!!

  • WELL THIS IS A GOOD LITTLE MOVIE BUT KIND OF DUMB. WHY WOULD YOU EVEN POST THIS RETARDED VIDEOé

  • @snubbs999 Well this is a good little comment but kind of dumb. Why would you even post this retarded comment?

  • the man who plays adam is not really blind, man,we have good actors, even bak then!lolz:)

  • It's funny, because Laura and Almanzo married on the same day, August 15 as Mary and Adam, but in the books of laura it says that they were married at August 25.

    :)

  • Mary was so pretty

  • @bluegrassreb1 unfortunately she was blind..

  • That's Lou Fant playing the other reverend. He also played the father of the deaf boy that Laura was teaching in another episode. He's a master of American Sign Language. I studied ASL in college and had the utmost respect for him.

  • @rudolfo4711

Caroline- I turned my back for a second and Mary was was off down the road.

Mary- If we have a baby it won't be like the school kids. They could run off down the road and we won't be able to see them.

Adam- I don't believe this! All anyone wants is a healthy baby! I guess we should pray to God to give us a blind one.

Does anyone know the real name of this episode?

  • @Miracle490d -- Those lines are actually from this episode, the full episode. It's called 'The Wedding' and it's on YouTube.

  • @archergrl1996 Thank you. I had found it later after I posted that. Irronically the wedding scene is missing from the episode I found, so you need the highlights for the ending.

  • @rudolfo4711 The proposal was funny, but you took out the best part. This episode was great for Mary's worries about raising a sighted child and the hurricane teaching her they could cope thru whatever comes.

  • i want that kid to play at my wedding

  • @Samoaqueen I have bad news for you ... the boy who plays there is not really the same as the violin played by charles

  • at 7:35 mary looks like an angel and at 9:27

  • at 7:35 mary looks like an angel

  • I love the look on Charles face when he sees Mary at 4:21

  • how come laura albert and carrie and grace get to go to the wedding

  • lol shoulda gone to the post office.....

  • Adam's proposal cracks me up! "I have to go to the post office." LOL

  • How did they wind up in walnut grove i thought the whole fam moved to winoka?

  • @manduh87 They did, but later they got fed up with Mr. Standish and decided it was time to go back to Walnut Grove. So the Ingalls, Olsen's, and Garveys left Winoka and Charles asked Albert to join them. Walnut Grove was in ruin and Mr. Hanson, was bed ridden with Doc Baker caring for him. They both never left. When they got the town on it's feet, Hanson got to his feet.

  • "i love you...haha" xD

  • Into my room

    Adam Kendall, thats not funny

Its not supposed to be funny, its supposed to be a proposal

  • it was good tv, not like todays rubbish it draws you in - called acting me thinks

  • at 03:44 Charles extends his hand to Adam. Adam, although blind, raises his hand to shake . Just a little trivia goof!!

  • @spireman50 either that or Adam expected to shake Charles' hand...

  • he's hot,

    funny,

    and sweet..

men!! i wish i was Melissa Sue

  • I always thought Adam was pretty hot.

  • I heard earlier about the passing of Merlin Olsen (Jonathon Garvey) from cancer. He will be missed love the Garveys

  • i love it! xD

    Linwood <3

  • and the bride wore a charming layer of dust..............

  • "Into my room...?"

    "Adam Kendall, that's not funny."

"It's not supposed to be funny, it's supposed to be a proposal."

    Ahaha, great line.

  • I love how Adam/Mary and later Laura/Almanzo each have their own 'theme' instrumental music that plays whenever they are the feature oif an episode. The Adam/Mary music (that plays at the very end here where they kiss) is softer and more serious. The Laura/Almanzo music is much more upbeat and optimistic. Interesting.

  • Beautiful music! I just got chills hearing it, guess it brings back memories. Also reminds me of a track from 'Sense and Sensibility' which is one of my favorite films.

  • I don't get it. In this episode Mary gets married at age 16, but when Laura tried to get married to Almonzo at age 16, Charles made a big deal about Laura needing to wait to get married 'till she's 18.

  • The real Laura got married at 18,Mary never married in real life. I think there was a earler episode where Mary is engaged and Pa tells her she has to wait 'till she;s 15 before she's married.

  • @number1nancydrewfan It's propably because Mary had already kind of separated from her family. She had to go to the blind school and the Ingall's knew Mary needed Adam. Laura was still living at home and there was no reason she had to move from home.

  • Mrs. Ingalls seemed a bit too enthusiastic over the reverend being able to do the wedding lol

  • lol

  • What's funny about Mary and Laura, is Mary looks so much older, but Melissa Gilbert physically matured before Melissa Sue Anderson did. They just tried to make Melissa Gilbert look as young as possible while they made Mary look as old as possible. Only way Melissa Sue Anderson matured before Melissa Gilbert was in voice and height. By the way, where is the rest of the family at the wedding?

  • Charles and Caroline couldn't afford to take the children to the wedding

  • I think this video has the collection of the single dumbest comments ever, with normal ones occasionally. People get over the marriage thing, already. Historical accuracy? You will survive 5 or so minutes of this "inaccurate" marriage. If it bothers you that much take up a hobby.

  • Both Mary and Adam are blind. However, Adam got his sight back later on.

  • of course. I own all 9 season box-sets of Little House on the prairie, and I have seen every episode. To See the Light (part 1 of 2) is where Adam regains his sight.

  • How does Adam regain his sight? Does Mary ever regain her sight?

  • Adam regains his sight because he lost it in an accident in the first place, Mary remains blind as a consequence of a disease she got when she was very little.

They move to New York later on or a big city (I do not quite remember) so Adam can practise as an attorney

  • I am a Japanese but I grew up with this family. I was always dreaming of finding a guy like the pop and become a mum like ma. When Meary god blind, I cried with her. God bless you, the Ingals family.

  • is mary blind??

  • he guy amry is marrying is he blind

  • Yes

  • strange to see how Mary is growing up, but Laura seems to stay a child forever.

  • i haven't watched this show in years..are they both blind...cause i remember something about that.

  • Hi , please somebody can tell me what's the song at 10:19? pleaseeeeeeeeeee!!!!! :)

  • They are the best COUPLE!!!! I love Adam! :D

  • I love how people cannot understand poetic license. Weddings always make me cry, this tv wedding included!

  • it is only a show, ralax. And besides: Carrie wasn'tborn either, when when the Ingalls family lived in the big woods, all in this show isn't true.

  • So sweet!

  • This isnt right. Mary never even married. Nor did she have children.

  • huh they were BOTH blind i thought only mary was blind... i guess it was a college for the blind

  • that is sooooooo adorable, such a shame they are both blind

  • Hi , please somebody can tell me what's the song at 10:19? pleaseeeeeeeeeee!!!!! :)

  • They're both so sexy and they don't even know it! HAWT

  • It's cool that you put these highlight videos together. Thanks!

  • Mary marry? Merry!

  • just woundering, how old where mary and Laura when they got married??

    i love this show!

i watch re runs everyday ater school!

  • I think Mary was 16, but no idea for Laura...

  • I watch this show after school too! I loooove it.

    I think Mary's like 16 or 17.

  • mary was 16, and laura was 17

  • MARY GOT MARRIED YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love Charles face when Caroline kisses Rev Alden. :)

    Haha

  • i thought Mary didn't marry anyone

  • The real Mary Ingalls never married or had a child. Just something the writers decided to add.

  • Ohh So This Is All Based On A True Story? =O

  • nope.

  • The books of L.I Wilder are real, it is based on a true story. Her sister Mary was really blind, but she did not get married. It was not normal at at time. So it is a true story only a littlebit romanticised.

  • Mary's wedding was more elaborate than Laura's. Somehow that seems wrong.

  • @Cathie8791 Yeah...I thought so too! In the episode when Laura was going to be getting married , some of it was about Almanzo's sister's (Eliza Jane) being so infatuated with Almanzo's friend Harve Miller! Give me a break!

  • ''Oh my baby is going maridge, Grace? no MARY!'' :DD

  • The episodes with Mary were always my favorite. I also loved Nellie Oleson.

  • ahhhh...so cute. good job on the video.

  • Isn't the priest the father of Daniel Page, the boy who's taught by Laura?

  • Does anyone know if the whole episode including Mary's wedding on 'Little House On the Prairie' can be found online? If so, what is it called. I can't find it. Thanks.

  • adams and mary are a great couple.

They are so cute together. Mary is so beautiful and graceful.

  • Could you post the whole episode, please? This has all the sweetness, but none of the drama of the episode--and the drama was quite good! Thanks!

  • OH! Oh, I cry... D'X

  • *~Thanks for posting this episode!~*

  • HI there. Do you know where I can find the whole episode? Thanks! Angie

  • Great episode! lol Thanks for uploading this! God bless!~

    Love in Christ,

    baaboo1

  • do u really wanna know something about mary ingalls she never got married in real life it the truth.

  • yes she did

  • ladyyuna2000 is correct in her comment. Mary Ingalls was never married. She also never taught at the school for the blind. She attended the school and then after finishing the seven year term went home and lived with her parents until they passed away. She then lived with Carrie and Grace. So before you reply in correctly without thinking check your facts. Otherwise you end up looking stupid.

  • trust me i have read the books

  • No codster you obviously haven't read the books. Mary returned from college and lived with Ma until Ma's death then split her time between living with Carie and Grace until she herself died, the first of the girls to pass away.

  • Umm I think you responded to the wrong person. I think you meant to respond to thegirl44 not me.

  • Reverend Alden is covered with dirt. He must have just gotten thrown out of the saloon into the street.

  • he was covered with dust from the dust storm that happened not long before the wedding evidentally he was travelling in it.

  • As Foul as your comment is it sure is funny ROFLMAO

  • it is really good but needs the whole episode

  • I agree with you I love the part when Mary calls off the wedding and Adam gets very upset it is so sad.

  • which part is that??

  • Did anyone else notice the boy playing the accordian was playing the wrong song?? Michael Landon missed that.

  • Was he playing the song that is usually at the end of the wedding ceremony?

  • Yep, that's right.

  • nice long kiss

  • can someone post this whole episode up?

    Thanks!

  • I loved this episode -- it still makes me cry. This show is so awesome! Thank you for sharing this!

I think the dust was caused by a wind storm outside that stirred up the dirt.

Does anyone know the cheapest place to buy the Little House complete DVD set? :-)

  • Why is everybody covered in dust?

  • because this was after the dust storm that went through the town.

  • This is 2 sweet!

  • Something about a blind girl is hot!

  • Adam is hawt.

  • oh well

  • in the books mary never did getmarried

  • OMG Adam is so cute! I love his proposal! Mary is so funny back to him

  • Adam is Blind

but yes he dose have a cute complection

  • LOL! Probably not much else to choose from, other than water and coffee. :) Didn't have Coke, then, I don't think...unfortunately.

  • in these later episodes pa is quite the tea-drinker--didn't know pioneer men drank so much tea!

  • thanks so much i loved this episode, it was good to be reminded of some of the highlights of the episode, althogh you missed some of the drama. I wonder if you could sometimes do a season 2 episode called a matter of faith? it would be greatly appreciated. If you can't, I understand and sorry to bother you ^^ hearfelt thanks for all your videos so far.

  • thats on here already. it take a while looking though
