Jackson State's was the best...i did enjoy grambling's though. I understand tradition and all, but i wish they would loose the zylaphone. (probably spelled wrong lol). It cuts through too strong and it makes the band sound like a pre school show

Southern = More screaming power in marching formation because of their trumpet sections size and more articulation in CONCERT formation as well as better classical arangement

Grambling = Less scream in marching formation because they are smaller but more articulation in marching formations because of the smaller size and emphasis on lower brass (go with strengths, hide weaknesses) They also have better contemporarty music arangment and selection (why they tend to get the gigs where SU does not)
