  • So it's a bad movie?

  • Nice! Your voice is really good and fitting for such reviews, and you certainly tear this movie up as much as it deserves, as well as point out what assholes all the characters are. I also love how you call Hoffman "Mark," for some reason. I mean, I love the guy (yeah, he's an asshole, but I find him hot and bad-ass ^^), but even I call him by his last name, as everyone else does. But the way you called him "Mark" was really fitting somehow; sort of condescending and "don't give a shit"-like. XD

  • the acting was terrible

  • I may be the only one here who actually loves the series. But SAW 3D was by far the weakest of the series. It was so disappointing on every level, although gore fans might like it because it may be the most graphic. Meh.

  • Went to see this earlier this week, I now remember why I didn't bother going to see part 6.

The gore scenes are now so long in the tooth they've just become tedious as opposed to being shocking and since when did Hoffman become a cross between James Bond and The Terminator? His charcater became less and less beleiveable the more the film went on and felt ready for walking out before the end.

As for the 3D, well you wouldn't have missed anything if it was 2D for the amount it was utilised.

  • @DarkAngel182 It is all a bit 'Ho Hum'. The lack of tension was palpable really.

I couldn't agree more about the 3D, as usual it added nothing of note to the film and I remember thinking at the time it may as well have been 2D. But that's marketing for you and I guess they'll make a bit more money because of the raised price.

  • i gave up on the saw series when saw 2 came out,

  • I shan't be watching this. I gave up at part 4, but should have stopped at the first movie. Even if this is the last installment I wouldn't be surprised to see a TV series, The Jigsaw Chronicles, or some such garbage. Oh, and Leerey14, you're a tit.

  • whats up with your voice

  • So, let me get this straight... you liked it? Kidding, hilarious review, nice job.

  • Nice review Glenn, not that i would of bothered with Saw 3D anyway.

I gave up after part 3.

They are the modern version of what the Friday The Thirteenth series was in the good old 80's.

As long as there is a quick buck to be made, they will keep churning this shite out.

If there is anouther Saw, it will probably go straight to Blu Ray/Airline or PPV download.

  • The premise of the whole series is rather played out. They ran out of likable characters.

  • Still waiting on Salo! and come to think of it why dont you review the original hellraiser aswell? You're one of the few critics who i enjoy listening to more when you like a movie as opposed to not liking it.

  • Great review, Glenn. I'm sorry, but the Saw franchise is garbage. Part 2 was aiiight, but still, who cares. These movies have always been schlocky versions of Se7en, and now the series is derivative of its own derivativeness. It's like an endless M.C. Escher/Inception staircase of derivativeness. No thanks.

  • I think i was all god until saw 5, in saw 5 its like COOL but shitty... iheard saw 6 was wayyyy better though. but of coarse saw 3d is supposed to suck eggs all out

  • You're welcome Glenn. We should expect to see in the future 'Saw VIII: Jigsaw Lives', 'Saw IX: The New Blade', and 'Saw X: Jigsaw Cuts Manhattan'. Enjoy Glenn.

  • @joelsttn LOL you know how to cheer me up after a long night shift don't ya fella...cheers mate

  • Don't forget Glenn, they said 'Friday The 13th : The Final Chapter' would be the last Jason film, and another 8 films followed. I wouldn't be surprised if we see another film next year at Halloween.

  • @joelsttn Way to ruin my day asshole.... ;0)

  • Going to watch it in 3 hours.

  • @TetrisTutorials Good luck...Maybe you'll enjoy it more than I did

  • @lampyman101 I did not. I hated it. That was the worst waste of 12 dollars and 2 hours of my time since 2006.

  • Haven't his reasons for trapping people, for the most part of the saga, been hypocritical? Just saying...

  • @DrGregoryHouseIT Pretty much ;0)

  • Some of the later films may say otherwise, but I felt like in the first and maybe second saw films we weren't supposed to agree with Jigsaw, we were supposed to find him a hypocritical psychopath with no idea what he was doing. Some hints to this include how in the first one when Zepp (believed to be jigsaw) is killed, its played out like a moment of hope and in the second one Matthews even tells jigsaw "putting a gun to someones head and forcing them to pull the trigger is still murder"

  • @tamsWTFvideos I agree, they really did redefine the character to make him someone for the audience to get behind. I see the progression of the Jigsaw character to be much in the same vein as Jason Vorhees or Freddy Krueger where the killer becomes the celebrity. It always kills a series of films when the film makes themselves fail to see the point of the bad guy

  • I certainly will not waste my time or money on this latest instalment of the ever weakening SAW franchise. The trailer looked awful and the writing and directing of these films has gone from actually rather good ( the original Saw film) to utter drivel in each successive sequel.

  • Well... I only saw the first Saw and it was Ok in my opinion... Had no interest in the others... not exactly a torture gore fan but the movies must have a large calling or they wouldn't be making so many of them... good thoughts on it Glenn, I like your rants on the newer movies because frankly their just as dumb witted as the older ones...

  • @goffmen movies that is... not your rants... keep up the good work

  • The producers just milked this Franchise to death, dont be supprised if there will anouther 3 next year...

  • I bet there will be a S10: Saw 10 years later or, bullshit like that

  • @themetalhead667 or $aw in a couple of years time if this does well....

  • @lampyman101 or there could be a prequel series

  • You didn't like it then?

  • @DarkAngel182 Not a whole lot. It was just so bland, the horror equivalent of beige.

  • I have to say I thought this final film in the series was an excellent way to wrap up the franchise.I think its unwise to take these films too seriously and take them for what they are, gory, escapist entertainment.

  • @MrAsm195 Yeah actually I did quite a bit. It was an interesting film, very suspenseful and with a twist you didn't see coming. Although I still thought Jigsaw was a complete bastard and utterly unjustified in his actions in the first one as well the film sort of left you to make that judgment where the subsequent ones seem to try to sell the idea that he's righteous even going so far as to have his victims stating his praises.
