I also saw Billy and DL in 82 and to make a long story short I will never forget it, EVER. My best friend in the world was with me and my 67 Impala's brakes took a dump. Stranded in Detroit with a small bag of weed, a little money, and no place to stay until I talked a motel clerk into letting us stay the night.....what a night. Bikers, pimps, prostitutes....I want to be 17 again in the worst way....
after 8 albums/cds with capitol from 80-93 he walked away from the music industry. Now married...doing work for NYC & did a "fans only" tour last year...he also recorded 3 new songs online in 2009.look up "When She Comes To Me" great tune
The only available video footage of "Two Daze Gone" was live show in 1981(DSN) & 1983 Emotions. He never did a video for it.The song was the B-side to The Stroke.
I have a Japanese import EP of a few songs from this concert including this one. Finally somebody posted the video, which I love.
This song reminds me of March 4th, 1983, when I learned the girl I was after was taking drugs. I remember that Friday very well, I heard this song on the school bus twice that day.
This is a great song, but the entire record Emotions In Motion is really kick ass...it is one of the best produced records of the early 80's and the songs are great!
I saw him with Piper in the 70's in Dekalb, IL at the Egyption theater (one hell of a beatutiful theater too). They opened up for Angel and quite a few other bands back then.
My first concert ever was Billy Squier during his "Don't Say No" tour in 1980-81. The guy was great. Too bad he was forever tarnished by the "Rock Me Tonite" video. He is one of the great unsung heroes of 80's rock.
Saw him in 1984 with RATT at Giant's Stadium (Brendon Byrne Area back then) We were 15 and thought we were hot shit with our black concert T's with the white sleeves!
Hey, me too. I saw them in Atlanta at the Omni though. I think that was the night they kicked off the tour with Def Leppard. Loved it then; love it now!!!!
