I was at the pet store today. I seen Greenie teeth cleaning bones. My puppy is a bit too young for them now. Also they looked a bit expensive, but they may be worth a try.
Tigger...my lil ones love greenies :) It always takes them several tries before they can figure out what they are supposed to do with them, but once they get started, they gobble them down *laughing*
btw..made me think that you should always keep the time very short from when the dogs "do what you want" until they get rewarded or else the rewards have a negative effect on their "upbringing".. :)

Small dogs need teeth cleaning more than big dogs. My ex from about 8 years ago had a toy poodle and we had to brush her teeth once every couple days.
The best thing to do I found was brace the back of her head against my stomach/chest area and hold her mouth open with my left hand. Then kinda nudge the mouth open with the left hand puting my palm area under her chin and work the brush with the right.
I tried that once with my dog and, well, let's just say he wasn't too cooperative so I bought these kind of mini bone-type-things that are supposed to do the same.
