Thank you for all of your videos! They are so informative, insightful, helpful, and encouraging to others. I would love to know how you are doing today and whether you've been able to keep your weight off. I also wonder whether you found a way to be fulfilled without food like you used to. Thanks and best of luck to you!

Hi I'm from Mexico getting my surgery soon and your videos are giving me a lot of info, i am a lil nervous but i know is for the best, how do u feel now??
Just wanted to tell you I hope you feel as good as you look. You look Great. Keep up the great job. It seems to be alot of work, but it seems to be worth it in the end.
Who was the surgeon that did your surgery? You said in the beginning you were looking for the best surgeon. Did you find them on a web site?
thank you so much for your videos. i am thinking about doing the gastric sleeve the 1st of march. i am concerned about the 1st 2 or 3 weeks post op. i have 2 very active middle school kids. i stay at home but i am concerned about keeping up with their schedules in the afternoon and their sports activities on the weekends. can you give me some more info about the 1st couple of weeks and how you felt? i'd appreciate it.
You are both an inspiration, and I thank you SO much for posting your journey... Also, the website you have up is helpful as well. Thank you again! Many have benefited from your sharing with us. :)
it has been incredible watching your transformation. very inspiring. keep up the good work, and know you have many following your story, and rooting for you! :)
Congratulations on your weight loss! I'm losing slowly, and not without a lot of effort with my VSG (who knows? I follow everything, but I'm just a slower loser, apparently), but still plugging along behind you :) You look great!
Thank you so much for the updates. The updates are very helpful and contain valuable information for those like me who have yet to have the surgery. I have to say you and your brothers messages really influenced my decision to go to Dr. Alvarez. I am scheduled for Dec 30. Looking forward to starting the journey. Any tidbits or advice would be welcomed.
Again, thanks for sharing your experience.... it has made an impact.
Hello again, I am on day 7 of the liquid diet. Wanted to get your feedback on the overall setting of the hospital with regards to security. My family is freaking out about going to a border town in Mexico. My wife is going with me and isn't concerned.
Did you and your brother feel safe during your transport to and from the hospital (you said it took 10 min)? At anytime did you feel unsafe in the hospital? I want to help calm their fears. Thks and Happy Holidays!!!
I am still losing hair. From what I have read it takes three months to fall out after the folicle dies (you should probablly look this up) so there is nothing I can do about current hair loss, I am just trying to prevent future loss (zinc lozenges and Nioxin). Also, from what I read the hair should come back.
After I lose enough weight to feel comfortable doing it, I'm going to go back to dancing... I've missed it so much and I know that's what's going to make me happy.
Thank you for these updates. I miss being able to eat comfortably, but I know I could never control the amount I would eat. Hey - started at 295 lbs, and now at 253 lbs after seven weeks. I'm not complaining! Only another 100 lbs to go.
Isn't it exciting! Congratulations on your weight loss. You will get more used to not eating. I had a great dinner last night, just had to stay away from the bread and drinking anything. I never order my own meal, just eat off of other people's plate.
Thank you for all of your videos! They are so informative, insightful, helpful, and encouraging to others. I would love to know how you are doing today and whether you've been able to keep your weight off. I also wonder whether you found a way to be fulfilled without food like you used to. Hello! I´m doing my surgery on March 03. Well, is it so painfull as some people say?
evefrorib 2 years ago
no, I wouldn't say painful. It was uncomfortable and later the acid reflux was bad (not everyone gets that) Well worth the final outcome though

What a change!
You´re look so pretty now, just like a doll.
I am about one month away from mine, it´s going to be the 'sleeve' one as well, in january. I think about it every day.
Hope I keep up with the responsability in the post-op, because I just didn´t stop eating a lot in most meals.
