@isamtator - Eeh idk about that. The original M16A1's were shit. Overheated and such. Weren't reliable in the field out in Nam. They're up to the M16A4 now, which is alot better. In my opinion, the best rifle ever made in the USA was the M1 Garand. I also really liked the M14. But from an all-around view, the M4A1 is much better than any ever made by the USA.

#1 would be the M4A1

#2 would be the M14

#3 would be the M1 Garand

@hogger129 My first choice would be the weapom we used in WWll. The M1 Garand.

@isamtator - Yeah but there are downsides. It is a great rifle. But it's heavy, heavier than the M4, does not hold alot of ammunition like the M4 can.

I'd take the M14 over the M1 Garand just out of the reason that it can hold more ammo and can be reloaded quicker (detachable magazines).

M4 is a much more deployable weapon.

However, the M1 Garand and M14 are better in quality.
