This is the reason Schools should not be operated by Government! Look at the socialist teachers that believe they deserve a job, simply because they exist. Government should only collect the money to educate children, then pay private schools to teach. Private institutions will not tolerate this kind of insanity from their employees, nor to carry that message to their classrooms. Parents would have more choices, test scores would go up, and cost per child would go down. No more bad teachers!

I was also at this protest. There was nobody standing around the perimeter stopping people from attending, no matter what their beliefs are. This is FREEDOM!

Communism/Socialism/Fascism are all forms of collectivism. They are all based on the idea that a central government should provide for the needs and desires of the people. This idea requires the loss of individual liberty. It divides the people into groups and governs each group differently in order to create "equality". Collectivists should at least debate honestly and admit that they seek to take away the rights and liberties of the people in place of security.
