Blah Blah Blah, Tommy is and was one of the Most talented persons of my life time. RIP and GOD Bless him. It's DONE. Shut TFU and let this man rest in peace.
Awesome Track Tommy is a LEGEND!! Such a Good Soul, and Spirit in his Music and Playing !! Beautiful Song always hits home straight to the heart!!! How we miss this!!
tommy you make me happy and you make me sad, mostly you just move me with you're music. i wish i could be listening to something you recorded today. god bless you and i pray i meet you in heaven
Wow: I'm just an old dude from Canada who loved Tommy from the Billy Coham/Alphonse Mouzon days right through to the end.. I didn't even know anyone else remembered him? Many years ago a guitar buddy lent me a movie about him on VHS, but it never worked in the machine and now the tape is long lost.
Anyone know of this flic, and is it available anywhere?? I'd love to get hold of any and all live video of him playing, either his band or with Purple. He was way underrated! Cheers, Scott
@SuperBolin1 There's alot of Tommy Bolin now on you tube.If you want to know more about Tommy, buy the book "Touched by magic" by Greg Prato. It's a great book.

i saw his last concert in miami, i think he opened for jeff beck and jan hammer, jai-alai, great concert, i remember the woman on the sax, awesome i was there to see t bolin i had just gotten teaser...tommy was pretty lit that night, by my observation, everyone was lit, it was a concert, a get down good time, or so it appeared to me but i was a kid...next morning my mom askd who it was i went to see in mia and i told her tommy bolin she said he died in a car wreck after the show bad scene bad.
His death was no accidental overdose. This legend was murdered, and I'm not the only one who feels this way. Read the amazing book that greg prato put together about this beautiful man. He should of been making music up to this day and beyond.
@aalton I totally agree with you. I dont know why his death was relooked into because the one that profited and left his parents destitute is still alive.
Tony, Tommy's mom sadly passed away around 1992 or so. But she knew that he was very important to many of us, and she often entertained fans who wandered into Sioux City to find Tommy's home, grave or school.
@jerklund ....you are NOT alone my friend. Between the music and the words...they will hit you under your heart like a punch from Mike Tyson. So much feeling...so much to live for....so .....so......sad. :o( - - r.i.p. Tommy.
Great video clips....My God, how I miss this man and his music. I remember the day he died so clearly. My heart was broken into pieces...I was just a kid. he was my idol.....I hope when the good lord takes me that I get to meet this man. he was such an important figure throughout my life and always will be. rip tommy...i miss you tommy Long islands biggest T Bolin fan.
Unbelievable talent, real shame that from what i hear he got to the point where he'd be too stoned to play at times. Like Private Eyes/Teaser are honest to god some the best albums i've ever heard that i can easily sit through each song & love
@tvrulesnation ....DRUGS......DRUGS......HERION KILLS....I hate drugs...took Tommy.....took Jimi.....took Janis.....etc etc etc....the road to evil....your better off living a straight life without drugs or alcohol for that matter....if you can control your drinking...that is.
Nah can't place all drugs under the one name, i'm not a user but i know that there is ALOT of misconceptions & myths around certain drugs. Heroin cocaine etc are harder class drugs & yes they're scum, John Frusciante of the Chili Peppers basically was dead from it. Its a mircale he survived, however the likes of Cannabis & LSD etc are pretty soft (though effects are strong)
Its idiots mixing, overdosing & doing drugs in the wrong setting that give them all a terrible name
@mustangTNT ...he is a legend in my mind. your right through, was very sad and still is....even thou we move on thru life in spite of terrible things that happen...like what happen to tommy. :o(
Tommy Bolin was an lovely but lost soul with an amazing talent of music making and guitar playing and according to Mr. Glenn Hughes he was a fantastic and funny person with a big heart, always had a joke and a laugh to deliver... but deep inside his heart was hurted for some reason.
God bless you Tommy and your music will always live on!!! :-)
I Adore this song I really think this is Tommy singing about Himself The words are so prophetic. Maybe before you were Happy, But now your thoughts arent on this place. For some reason I sense such saddness in this song The Guitar all of it. Any sad faerwell words better left un said Maybe before you were happy I only wish that you were with me Yeah, SOMEONE LIKE YOU CANT BE REPLACED!!! So True The Best Love you forever Tommy Tara
Dreamer is one of the most beautiful rock ballads ever, played by a gentle and soulful guitarist. I'm sure that if he hadn't broken on through to the other side so soon, Tommy would've been one of today's greatest guitar heroes!! RESPECT!!!
Well done. Thanks so much for this video. Brings back the good party days listening to Tommy and smoking and snorting. So dam sad his death...Long live Tommy!!!!!!!!!!!
Man I layed down next to the track and i can love it deeply. and its ok cant beat it tracks to some where right!!!! Totally believe!!!! in real feelings!!!!!
Tommy Bolin's LAST recordings are on the Coven album, Metal Goth Queen out of the Vault. there is a photo slide show video of the song with his amazing guitar work on this page, " Black Swan " is the song!
Cool, some pictures I've not seen before. If I am not mistaken, doesn't Glenn Hughes sing the really high part at the climax of the song? I used to listen to 'Teaser' and 'Private Eyes' albums over and over.
Was 1st introduced to Tommy's music in the mid 80's and fell in love with his music! What a tragic loss for all!

i'm fucking liking it alot
i seriously need to give this guy some respect & order in private eyes.
it sounds unreal, its a rip-off here though to order in shite.
if you like this guitarist Buchanan/Rory Gallagher are another good look.
3 highly underratred guitarists (bolin being the most underrated from what i judge)
my personal fav will always be Rory though, his live performances were mind blowing
