@alin1975
Get a racquet with a head as big as possible, a low tension. Practise running corner to corner, front and back. Thats crucial. And get the ball back. No matter how talented the other guy is, you prevail :-)
If any of u Becker fans know the sport of tennis you would know that the French takes patience, and that's not something boris has ever been good at. He wanted to win points fast, duh. Wimbledon was his surface. Chang would have beaten Becker in the finals of the French had they played. That's Changs advantage. Yes Boris hit it hard but clay dulls that. Ivan was patient with his power, not Boris. Chang deserved that Championship and Boris deserves his.
@tenniscoachreg a great aggressive player will always beat a great counter puncher.. even guys like hewitt lost to an old Agassi , thats why there are no pure counter punchers any more , you have to have a weapon
Love Becker, but all those people below who just "know" he would have killed Chang in 89 (had he only beaten Edberg), are deluded beyond words.
The Chang of that year not only beat Edberg but he also beat Lendl (a 3 time French open winner). Now, considering Becker never won ANY tournament on clay, its fair to say Edberg is better on the surface and Lendl is a zillion light years ahead of both.
I dont even like Chang, but that claim is absurd.
actually, he would've won the french in '89 if he just could've pulled it out against edberg in the semis... he was up 3-1 in the 5th and fell down on a point... wasnt the same after that fall; becker was prob the only player in that tournament that could've overpowered chang's all-out play and beaten him
Becker was not super on clay, that is fore sure

I absolutely agree with you mephatboi. I was crazy at the end of the SF against Edberg, knowing that Becker would have killed Chang in the Final.
