  • did you have to listen to this song during the operation? :o

  • I have a question are you asleep doing the operation or awake? if so awake couldn't you feel the pain??

  • @pheaith09 awake and painless :)

  • WEWEWEEWEWEWEWEWE -_O! lol

  • How deep was this scar? I have a corneal scar that is 200 microns deep right in the middle over my pupil.

  • Im getting mine done on thurs.my,left eye first. Cause I have a couple scars on both eyes , luckily not in the middle. Thanks for posting this! How long did it take you to recover through one eye? Till they did the other one or did yu do both the same day?

  • @reyes91490 both eyes got prk'd the same day. it probably took me a month to recover and a couple of months more to have 20/20 vision, i think it was 5-6 months in total.

  • you started blinking at the end, were you conscious through that?

  • @penguinlogo yeap

  • whats song is this bro

  • I'm confused. I thought that in PRK they burned the outer layer of skin off. Here it looks like they cut it and tore it off.

  • @Official2010Swag ahh this is the old school type of PRK where they still "scrape" the epithelial cells off, you might be referring to the newer kind where its all laser prk.

  • HAII....may I ask you?where did you do this PRK and whose the doctor? i need your info. thank you

  • @winda680 Wavefront Guided Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK)

    Patient: Me

Surgery: Wavefront Guided Photorefractive keratectomy (PRK)

Excimer Laser: Carl Zeiss MEL 80™

Location: St. Lukes International Eye Institute, Quezon City Philippines

    Doctor: Richard Nepomuceno, MD

  • wish i could afford it. until then i can stay without usable vision. life is just wonderful.

  • You mentioned that there are no flaps involved in PRK...but what was that lense that was put in at the very end?

  • "bandage" lens :]

  • So the bandage lens stays in your eyes until the actual lens grows back? That must take a long time.

  • @professorxox not really it wll take about up to 2 4 weeks

  • @maddog09az

    or 2 4 days

  • @kingofheartsxyz no its 2 4 week trust me i have had this done twice buddie

  • LOL. so how much in dollars total for both eyes?

  • hmm, probably around $1.5k in dollars i think

  • @daryltanael did the corneal scar bother you, or was there risk of developing another ulcer...because i have been having issues with contact lenses. I think I was close to getting an ulcer in my left eye

  • @Skylerdlc not really, good thing the scar isnt dead center on my eye, but it does lower just a little bit the clarity of my vision, but not really noticeable.

  • @Skylerdlc no it didnt, good thing its not dead center in my eye, yeap issues with contact lenses gave me the ulcer.

  • @daryltanael

    for both ???

in Canada Toronto they said it will cost me 3K per eye :-=

  • both my eyes cost 3950 with my VSP insurance helping. I went to TLC. I have a lifetime guarantee so if my vision changes i can go in for free touchups

  • I have a scar in the my left eye due to Acanthamoeba keratitis 3 years ago.

I"m thinking of getting this done. How much total for both eyes?

  • around 70k in Philippine Peso :]

  • Is this better tha lasik? Is it true that prk flap fully heals?

  • no flaps in PRK charles, so no flap related complications will happen. :]

  • Congrats daryltanael on a successful PRK surgery. I had mine 2 years ago. It was worth every penny. I'm sure you can agree?

  • i couldn't agree more :]

  • so before this did u see like a black thing every where you looked

  • nah not really

  • i got prk a month ago, scarring, continuing fml 4x daily.

  • thanks for posting this!

  • np : )

  • Thanks for sharing!! I am happy for your success. I'm a corneal transplant recipient and I will be getting Wavefront PRK in the next few months. I hear night vision can be tough for a while too. Great video!

  • no scarring by the wavefront prk, vision is 20/20 after 6 months, overall vision is 100% better!

  • How is your overall vision now? Did PRK remove the scar?

  • after 3 months, i'm 20/20 both eyes open. basically prk laser made the scar "smoother" it wont remove the scar per se. good thing the scar is not in the middle of my eye : ]

  • unfortunately it didnt remove the scar, but made it smoother somehow, thats fine, good thing the scar is not dead center in my eye ",

  • corneal scar @ 5:00+++ :D
