When I try firing constant standing lasers with Falco he'll randomly holster the blaster.

I guess you have to do it in the right rhythm, just mashing the special button doesn't work.

you can also dthrow, footstool, sourspotted dair to laser lock.

the laser lock also forces the get up, so a DAC or something along those lines is ideal.

Very situational, but if you know the setups for it first 2 hits of nAir, ftilt being the easiest, you can use that instead of tech chasing if you think they'll screw up the tech.

Nope, Thats why its called LASER LOCK. There is escape, unless he shots you off stage or his fingere slips of the B button.

In rare instances, usually when someone else hits another player down against the ground in a 4 or 3 player match, I can laser lock them. It is a rare occurrence, but there is no escape.

I was manning Falco against a Marth online. Shadow Moses Island; left wall's upper half destroyed, right wall entirely intact. On the upper floor I chaingrabbed him towards the right wall but reached it too son to DAC, so I just backthrew him and started shooting. Caught him in a laser lock and it carried him to the left blastline. 0% to death.

I don't think laser lock will ever be banned, but I don't think it will ever be utilized either. It's still great if you manage to pull it off though.

I discovered this move on my own a while ago... An interesting note to consider is this: A few times when I tried this lock out myself, the game would bug and they would actually continue "bouncing" off screen as I carried em with the lasers, pushing them into death. Yeah, its weird, happens rarely, but HAS happened. I can't seem to do it again, and it probably has no use since its so random, but an interesting note to point out none the less.

A flop is a tiny animation where your character is useless for half a second. You can't do ANYTHING. Not DI or tech. Plus when you flop, you automatically get up once it's done. It forces you up so you can't just stay on the ground.

Do a tech Snake! This'll unlikely be in high level play, to easy to get around. Ex; Pikachu gets hit and falls, but does a tech to an up smash, then uses a thunder to finish it. Too easy. Besides, doesn't it only work for light characters? Ganondorf, Bowser and ROB(and more) can get around it then.

Reason why it's hard on skilled players is that a player is granted another jump when knocked into the air like that. Someone smart enough would jump before landing... or air dodge. Or beat the **** out of the friend next to you who's using this glitch.

Snake is moving at a (relatively) constant velocity away from Falco, so while the laser may take longer to reach him, the stream stays constant and the time between them hitting Snake remains the same.

A player would jump out after being hit by an up smash. The hit stun is shorter so it will be very hard to pull off on someone. Unless they find another way to pull it off. Its not big deal.

it's not a glitch. =P sheesh, people label things as glitches way too easily. It's just using the physics engine to get his way. I'm pretty sure that there's no way to ukemi (tech) out of it, because right as the "stunning" effect of the blast ends, there's another laser that hits him: there's no point between lasers where the other player can move at all.
