Hello, Happy Sunday. I have been trying to make a strip of peyote to use as the bar portion of a toggle clasp and I am having so much trouble. I just can't do it, I don't know what I am doing wrong. I have watched many videos and tried several times and it comes out like a mess. I never have a nice tight piece like yours in this video to zip together and use as the bar. If you would give me some tips on how to make the bar, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Marie
@MsAriemae Its actually one of the easiest things in the weaving world. My first suggestion is to use a different bead. I have no idea what you're using now, but I'm thinking it must be something that doesn't weave well. I always suggest using cylinder beads for people who are just learning. You'll only need around 5 grams of 11/0 Delicas, maybe less, and they'll work so much better for this. They're really hard to screw up while working peyote.

is there some kind of ration of the length of the toggle compared to the diameter of the circle? I'm just starting and have made several toggles that are the wrong size:-(

@bunz11 I have no idea, really. I just tried to make my "T" part long enough to stay caught in the ring, and it worked fine.
