  • Lovely singing!

  • Terrrrr

ible. Do you know what you are singing? Or what you are doing?

  • light and love for her and everybody

  • simplesmente genial

  • Wonderful!

  • She does have a beautiful voice.... sounds a lot like Sarah Brightman who also does an outstanding job signing this song..

  • That creamy soprano just massages my amygdala. They hired enough strings! It's about time we had the string arrangement.

  • what a voice...one of the best versions I ever heared

  • mmmm lovely !

  • Fantastic !!!

  • holy shit

    high voice is very high

  • the problem is that after listening 20 times, you 'll get an habit;

With the one and only one Procol Harum, you feel always the vestal virgin still under the charm of the song. Only the original capture this atmosphere

  • Oh my god! This awesome! Thanks for posting.

  • une des meilleurs version pour moi avec annie lennox.

  • fantastique a en mourir!!!

  • absolutely wonderful

  • Great!!! such of lovely voice...magistral interpretation !!!

Regards to all of you from the DOMINICAN REPUBLIC.

  • this is for the idiots that banned rock and roll. you wouldn't be listening to this if not for procol harum. simply beautiful

  • Briefly: It makes me cry! Period

  • I had to start breathing again at the start . Wonderful Wonderful

  • Fantastic.

  • exellent

  • I absolutely love this song. I have not ever heard this version though. This is marvelous! Oh my goodness. I love this. beautiful!

  • brak słów ! ten sopran mnie poraża!!! *****

  • God bless music.

    This music.

  • Wow! Amazing! I have heard a lot of cover versions (and very good ones - and different approaches), and so far Annie Lennox' has been my favourite. But this one tops them all. So classical beauty and still faithfull to Procol Harum. Wonderful orchestra, divine voice.

  • liza dziekuje!

  • to ear through my heart.... really amazing... and touchy.....

  • Lightness of Being.

Is there a better piece of music? Is there a better interpretation of it? Is there a more suited voice? No, never! This is heaven!

  • @slash14876 Sarah Brightman's version is divine! This one is lovely, too.

  • so lovely!!! I'm a fan of this song!!! i love this version!

  • cool...stuff like this solidifies...Procol Harum right up there with the one of the best bands that ever struck a chord...and most of us knew that already...

  • I love this song but I never cry before....

    But she...She did.

  • Amazing!!!

  • touching air spurting out of the holy creature whose skin muffling the skull adorned with golden hair and pale face, not a sprite but a angel.

  • kiedy posłuchamy tego razem, wtuleni w siebie......?kocham.

  • Maravilhosa Liza Veiga !

  • bravisssimo lovers eternity

  • Exelente versión, gran voz y mucho sentimiento. Great job!!!

  • EXCELENTE VIDEO

  • Lindo :)

Eu vi ao vivo em Cascais!

  • beautiful voice ..

  • Love how she says "Vestal Virgins" with her accent.

  • I love the orchestration in this version; but, I don't think Liza really understood how to apply her particular vocal gifts to this song. She does have a wonderfully pure voice.

  • Don't care for this version, but jeez, can she sing! Very pure tone & very high with no stress on her part.

  • Wow. Spiritual.

  • An awesome performance of this great song!

  • Is there anyone who can post or reply directly to me some concrete historical facts with MLA references about Proco Harum, where they are to date, who actually wrote this master piece of beautiful wonder, and where this song has traveled in its 50 years of existence? This is probably one of the most amazing songs in modern history. The song begins in Wales, and travels to WoodStock, , but no one sings it like Liza Viega, and this Orchestra. Dr. Chivers of Carnegie Hall

  • The song's true origin is Procol Harum 1967.

Neither the melody nor the lyrics has any previous history or heritage.

The theme was written by Gary Brooker and Matthew Fisher.

The lyrics are by Keith Reid but the final verses are almost never sung. This and other covers, as well as P.H. performances typically covers the shortened single version.

(a pity IMO, but that's radio and MTV for you)

Most played song in British broadcasting history.

Recorded covers from about 800 artists.

  • The Hammond organ line of "A Whiter Shade of Pale" was inspired by Johann Sebastian Bach's "Sleepers Awake" and "Air on a G String", but contrary to popular belief, the song is not a direct copy or paraphrase of these or any other Bach pieces.

  • love Prauge ,love the song but not so much this version after a few min...i guess i miss the organ

  • lovely voice! .. i am not too crazy abou the version.. she does sound like Sarah Brightman as Creidhe said. Nothing wrong with accent.. actually accent can add color to the voice except if you listen to Power of love by Baskov.. that sounds HORRIBLE.. check it out!

  • English and US people should learn a foreign language...

  • WOW, she needs some emergency English courses. Singing one octave lower wouldn't hurt either.

This was the best arrengement I've heard so far, though. Yet the performance was a bit mechanical as pupplesan noted.

  • How many times have you tried to speak Portuguese? Whatever her accent has, it's a thousand times better than an English singer trying to sing a Portuguese song. When commenting, stick yourself to the music quality.

  • What, she had to read misic?? Brooker forever!!

  • "Bela jovem..." és linda! E os ares do Algarve só te fazem bem ;)

  • What a performance ! Congratulations !

  • Very nice version of this song...

  • I have the feeling that she sounds a little sarah brightmish...

  • An extremely pure but slightly mechanical orchesteral/operatic performance of one of the greatest songs of all time. Still, this a beautiful work and deserves praise.
