Relaxers made me afraid of my natural texture because it the new growth was so thick! I never woulda thought I'd be able to brush through it with condish and see it curl up everywhere! Amazing!
I agree - my mom said i had "Dog Patch Hair" which i think meant REALLY THICK and of course she didn't know how to work with it. i'm SOOO THANKFUL TO ALL MY NATURAL SISTAH'S ONLINE FOR THEIR TUTORIALS AND IDEAS - MAN YOUTUBE HAS BEEN A TOTAL BLESSING IN THAT AREA FOR SURE.
Well my mom always said I had "wooly" hair just like my dad. She pressed it all the time but when I had swimming in the 7th grade I begged her for a relaxer cuz the electric straightening comb wasn't cutting it! Wish I knew then what I know now! Yes, I'm so thankful to all the youtube naturals as well. I don't know if I would have hung in there without all the help and encouragement.
