just posted a response to this video, i represent ERR equine rescue and rehoming and alot of our horses were rescued from slaughter! This is a heartbreaking video and these horses do not deserve this! Our horses have went on to do eventing, BSJA, and dressage! These horses deserve a chance! thanks for sharing!!

@12Antoniobu It's not JUST the fact that they're slaughtered. It's the WAY that they're slaughtered. In most situations, the horses are kept in cramped, filthy places, with little or not sunlight and water. They are starved and frightened. Then, they're killed and slaughtered. Some are even slaughtered while they're still alive. Maybe if they were slaughtered humanely it would be okay. But most of them aren't, so it isn't. And there was probably horse crap and other mystery meats in your steak.

It is actually illegal to sell them but you can catch them and you can make it your self, or find a good restaurant that bends the rules. Get some ortolan (a small song bird) Lock them in a darkened cage for a week with plenty of grain and water to fatten up. Then drown them alive in Armagnac (a kind of French brandy). Then roast them and eat them whole, bones and all. C'est magnifique!!

Horses are no exception. I don't agree with neglection or abuse of horses, but why not eat them? They are no different than any other animal. Why is it OK to eat a cow but not a horse? Because a cow is less pretty than a horse?

just posted a response to this video, i represent ERR equine rescue and rehoming and alot of our horses were rescued from slaughter! This is a heartbreaking video and these horses do not deserve this! Our horses have went on to do eventing, BSJA, and dressage! These horses deserve a chance! thanks for sharing!!

@12Antoniobu It's not JUST the fact that they're slaughtered. It's the WAY that they're slaughtered. In most situations, the horses are kept in cramped, filthy places, with little or not sunlight and water. They are starved and frightened. Then, they're killed and slaughtered. Some are even slaughtered while they're still alive. Maybe if they were slaughtered humanely it would be okay. But most of them aren't, so it isn't. And there was probably horse crap and other mystery meats in your steak.

NO creature should have to go through that much pain and torture. It's not right. Would you like to spend your last few days being starved, dehydrated, deprived of open space and clean conditions, and being kicked and bitten constantly by other people? No. If they were slaughtered in a humane way, it wouldn't be so bad.

@RidersAnonymous865 Nonetheless horse meat is delicious. I also suggest you try ortolan. It is actually illegal to sell them but you can catch them and you can make it your self, or find a good restaurant that bends the rules. Get some ortolan (a small song bird) Lock them in a darkened cage for a week with plenty of grain and water to fatten up. Then drown them alive in Armagnac (a kind of French brandy). Then roast them and eat them whole, bones and all. C'est magnifique!!

It may seem like theres no other thing to do with an old hose but to sell it to a meat buyer... thats not true at all there are many adoption facilities that would love to take your horse and help them! the way that these horses are treated is unbelievably cruel! these are such trusting animals and they only ask for one thing.. a loving owner if we all save our older horses we can put a stop to this cruel act!
