She is from Taiwan. Mandarin is their official language but most people also speak Taiwanese which is an offshoot of the Min dialect from the Fujian province. She learned Cantonese so she could perform in Hong Kong films.

I wish this video would of been subtitled, I absolutely love Shu Qi, I seen her in the Jackie Chan movie titled, Gorgeous, and she is far more than gortgeous, and a person made the comment that her mouth is even more beautiful than Angelina, I would find it hard to believe that any part of her body is not equally as beautiful as any part on Angelina, and even more so.

Attractiveness is very subjective and being gay does not mean you can't have an opinion on one's attractiveness. She has sex appeal but that's all she has. I'm judging beyond that. By specific features, she can be odd/hideous - despite her "perfect complexion". Generally, I don't think women dislike her - just me.

You are full of crap. Watch the extras that come on the "Gorgeous" DVD. There is a closeup of her without makeup -- perfect complexion with some small freckles on her nose. And her mouth is absolutely one of her best attributes (better than Angelina Jolie in my opinion).

Leslie Cheung(great actor -- may he rest in peace) was openly gay. What would he know about what is attractive to males.
