  • @waltzingaranel well yeah but, not everyone has that feature on their phones I suppose...and I wonder if those who do use it enough lol.

  • Comment removed

  • The black Preacher's parents weren't allowed to be priests or go on missions because of his skin color but here he is Uncle Toming away! LOL

  • Who is the black guy? I didn't know some mormons got plastic surgery to look black.

  • @Phillie103 haha, thats funny. Alex Boye is super awesome! a man of much faith

  • @Phillie103 contrary to popular belief we are of all nationalities. :)

  • There's only one small problem with this video: the bom is a pos :D It's fictional; there is no evidence whatsoever that any Israelites migrated to America around 2500 years ago. Nothing at all. If you're a practicing Mormon and ignore this fact, you are being intellectually dishonest. Not to mention that Evolution is a fact. Humans and chimps grow peach fuzz all over their body in the womb at about the same time, 6 months. Our dna is 98% the same, humans just lose the hair, google it!

  • @GiveCourage The evidence is in the messages that he Holy Spirit gives us.

  • Ummmm... this is Sunday Class what are we teaching in America in Australia we are being taught about Moroni and Hill Cumorah. What are you teaching our brothers and sisters and why is somebody filming it?

  • @Bennyson10 It's a fireside at someones house in Draper, Utah, USA

  • And i can't afford a smart phone so this video is still relevant

  • I jumped a little at 0:05

  • YOU KNOW IF THESE PEOPLE WILL STUDY THE BIBLE IN THE WAY IT OUGHT TO BE STUDIED THEY WILL SEE THAT THE LORD'S CHURCH HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE SAME SENSE THE TIME OF ADAM AND THE APOSTASY CAME ABOUT AND THE SAME CHURCH RESTORED IN THE EARLY 1800'S. BUT THE PROBLEM IS THESE PEOPLE HERE ARE TOO BLINDED TO SEE THAT. THEY ARE ALSO BLINDED TO SEE THAT THE BIBLE DOES TALK ABOUT THE BOOK OF MORMON. I HOPE SOME DAY THEY WILL SEE THAT.

  • ITS SAD TO SEE PEOPLE LOSE TESTIMONY OF THE TRUE MEANING OF THE GOSPEL. ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS PRAY AND ASK THE LORD OF THEIR TROUBLES AND IN TIME THE ANSWER WOLD HAVE COME. INSTEAD THEY LOSE TESTIMONY AND TAKE THE TRUTH AND TWIST IT WITH THEIR OWN WORDS. IT IS SAD TO SEE PEOPLE FALLING AWAY FROM THE TRUTH LIKE THIS BECAUSE OF WHAT THEY ALLOW SATAN TO PUT IN THEIR MINDS. THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST IS TRUE AND SO IS THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS IS TRUE.

  • I BARE TESTIMONY THAT THE BOOK OF MORMON IS ANOTHER TESTAMENT OF JESUS CHRIST. IF WE FOLLOW THE BOOK BY ITS PRECEPTS OF THE BOOK WE WILL GET CLOSER TO GOD. THE BOOK OF MORMON IS A COMPANION TO THE BIBLE. I BELIEVE THAT JOSEPH SMITH WAS A PROPHET OF GOD AND WE HAVE A PROPHET OF GOD TODAY AND IT HAPPENS TO BE PRESIDENT THOMAS S. MONSON. I KNOW THIS TO BE TRUE AND WILL ALWAYS HAVE A TESTIMONY OF THE TRUTHFULNESS OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST. AND I SAY THIS IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST. AMEN

  • My parents keep a Book of Mormon in their car at all time. You never know when you'll need inspiration.

Finally, putting that into practice is a bit harder, but which you value more? Reread Luke 12:34.

  • I believe that as we read our scriptures and keep a prayer in our hearts always we'll be better inspired to do God's will. You know, love him and love others, the two great commandments, but it's harder to do if we just rely on our own strength. We need to involve our Father more in our lives. I know this to be true based on the times I've felt closer or farther away from God. It all relates back to the questions: Are you reading your scriptures? Are you praying?

  • @Jewclops dumb

  • i thought mormons were racist against black people

  • @MrTroll652 You thought wrong, we love and ARE of all races

  • @TrickTrolan yeah right

  • @MrTroll652 No its true, if we were racist then I wouldn't have a big black teddy bear of a brother-in-law that I love soooooooo much. Now would I? lol

  • Mormon's are cool! The Wonder Twins are "Mormon's!" Well kind of... they are "Jack Mormon's" because they drink alcohol every once in a while... oh, and coffee!! See them dancing and more on this channel!!

  • I love this video! The church is true!

  • Is that Alex Boye?

  • @TheGraham721 I thought the exact same thing!! I think it is!

  • This is so true! The Book of Mormon is a tool for inspiration and a help for us - more helpful than cellphones. I know the Book of Mormon is true, because I have prayed and asked God to know if it is true, and I felt it like a fire in my soul that it is true. I feel peace and hope whenever I read the Book of Mormon, and I know that it is what it says it is - another Testament of Jesus Christ, just as the Bible is a testament of Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for the scriptures - they're true!

  • I set my BOM and QUAD on fire, and they burned better than anything I've ever seen!!! Hope it goes back to hell where they came from!!!!

  • @42apostate

No... we don't add to our scriptures. This is a completely different situation. Our Book of Mormon has been not changed at all. Unlike the Bible...

  • @MajigamaFreak

LDS leadership, over the last 180 years have changed many of the words as well as the wording in the BoM, in nearly 4000 cases. The latest change was a one word change to the "introduction" for the 2006 edition of the Book of Mormon: --"PRINCIPAL ancestors of the American Indians." The new introduction says the Lamanites "are AMONG the" ancestors of the American Indians." A significant change in meaning brought about by DNA. Amerinds are of ASIAN ancestry not Isralite/Hebrew.

  • @1MoNoMo

True. 4000 changes!! That a pretty big number, considering that Joseph Smith called the BOM "the most correct book on earth". Maybe that was a prophetic statement of the future for the BOM--that at some point in the future the BOM would BECOME the most correct. Perhaps with another 4000 changes it'll reach that prophetic goal!

And the other major change made because of DNA is what's called, by BOM scholars, the LGT (Limited Geography Theory) that says Lamanites are in hiding.

  • @42apostate

A few hundred Lamanites hiding in the Jungles of South/Central America! Right!

For a listing of the changes, google for "Book of Mormon changes" and go to the UTLM site that has done all the research. Then buy yourself a copy of the earliest BOM (I think Deseret Book carries them) and follow along with UTLM as they go through them to satisfy yourself that they are not just blowin smoke.

  • @42apostate The actual wording of the book of mormon has never changed. Just 2 days ago i was looking at an ORIGINAL copy of the book of mormon and a modern copy. I couldnt find any differences in actual words, though there were no references. the original says "by Joseph Smith", because that was the only way they could legally get it printed back then (it was changed ASAP) and there are missing periods and commas in some places.

  • @Porojukaha

    "NEVER CHANGED"??

I have BOTH BOOKS right here in front of me. I can SEE the differences in wording. Just one example, 1 NE 13:40 (latest edition of BoM), "...the Lamb of God is the Son of the Eternal Father".

The 1830 BoM says, "...the Lamb of God is the Eternal Father and the Savior of the world ..."! Do you see that the words "SON OF THE" have been ADDED to later versions of the BoM?

Not only have the WORDS been changed, but the MEANING is dramatically changed also.

  • @Porojukaha

I don't know where you're getting your info from on the 1830 BoM, but I bought mine from Deseret Book. Go to Deseret Book (online) and see this:

"Book of Mormon Replica, 1830 Edition

by Herald House (Publisher) Ships in 2 to 3 business days Hardcover SKU 2609476 --- $22.95".

I suggest, google "1830 Edition of Book of Mormon" and read ALL the links. This will help you become informed so that you won't make future errors. Mis-information does not help your cause.

  • @42apostate

Very concerned my friend? haha... I hope someday you'll find most of your own challenge on deep historical or analytical or other stuff like critical thinking respecting what you just thrown. I always knew in Isaiah 55:8-9, it resolves nothing else than a mere myth or false concept if I was thinking that way.

  • @rhastan100

    Your point is...what...?

  • @42apostate

well, my point is very simple. If you have read Isaiah 55:8-9, you will understand very much that its not very understandable way for us to understand something most especially when faith in Jesus Christ is concerned. What I'm trying to point out is, our ways to understand... example: deep historical, analytical and critical thinking all have something to prove on us to prove it with our eyes to see and ears to hear. I guess explaining much of this wont help read: Matt. 7: 16 & 20.

  • @rhastan100

    You're right. It didn't help.

To me it was very much like double-talk, ie. nonsense.

I did read the scriptures...but, it didn't help sort out your point...?

  • @42apostate

Think very carefully my friend. you should know it for yourself. The Savior, Jesus Christ did His atoning sacrifice so that we may all understand more of what it means to be living now these last days. I'm sorry if you don't understand my point, its for you to understand what it really means. You have a long way to go, hope you'll find it someday.

  • @rhastan100

Your inability to communicate is somehow MY responsibility??

English is not your first language, is it?--and probably not your second...

Christ's atonement was so we could understand the last days??? That's f''en insane!!

  • @42apostate

So your getting where I am. Thank you for that understanding, at least you won't just say something you don't completely understand. You don't seem to understand how to live in these last days, I'll add something to that.

To be able to understand the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we need to understand how the

Gospel of Jesus Christ and His True and living Church was restored through proper Priesthood authority, which I expect that you'll be commenting again about this.

  • @rhastan100

What does any of your babbling have to do with ANY of my comments?

Make a legitimate point and we can discuss that.

I DO understand the Atonement and the Gospel of Christ. The LDS version of that is a false version. I should know, I was an active member of LDS for 5+ decades and can clearly see the fraud of Mormonism.

    End of story!

  • @42apostate

Fair enough, you're a concise person. My point is, what do you get from commenting negative on the True and living Church on this earth?

  • @rhastan100

I guess what I "get" from my "neg." comments would be the same as what Joseph and many other LDS leaders have gotten from THEIR negative comments on the Catholic Church and Christianity in general--that they are "the Whore of the Earth", "corrupt", an "abomination". What do LDS missionaries "GET" out of spreading Mormonism?--the idea of informing people of something they had no idea existed. It's the same for me. I found something others ought to know about Moism--it's a fraud!

  • @42apostate

you have some concern that others don't understand. This might be a personal thing, I'd like to know how did it turn out like that? If you were an active member 5+ decades, what was the reason you turn away from the church? Everyone got a reason, you know. Sorry for not being on the point on my previous comments, just wanted to take your attention perhaps. I would be glad to know then I will understand why your making such comments. I don't blame you, you're not alone doing that.

  • @rhastan100

That's easy. I dared to research the claims of the LDS Church and found that it was not the Church it claimed to be. THAT simple!!

  • @42apostate

okay I got that clearly that you see what you believe. Did you even try to put your faith to the test by doing rather than seeing what you have researched about the The Church of Jesus Christ in these latter-days?

  • @rhastan100

I was born and raised LDS from Pioneer and polygamous heritage, served a mission, 2nd coun. in a bishopric. Stake High Council. Active member for 5+decades. I attended every meeting. 3 years in Seminary. LDS classes at BYU.

You think I needed to "test" my faith??

11 years ago I put the LDS Church to the test. The Church FAILED the test--I DID NOT! I'm still a believing Christian (I attend none) and life is great!--especially without the millstone of Mormonism around my neck!!

  • @42apostate

What do you mean "I put the LDS Church to the test"? I maybe wrong about understanding your ground but I think you are offended of something about the church, is that right? I'm sure there's a whole reason why you said, "I put the LDS Church to the test."

  • @rhastan100

    That's easy.

LDS, Inc makes some pretty outrageous claims. Fantastic claims require fantastic proofs to back those claims.

I researched those claims and found them to be BASELESS. Additionally I found that Joseph Smith lied his ass off--about several things--meaning that I had been lied to about JS and some/most of his doctrine--some of which we've already discussed. Once finding out that I had been lied to my whole life, regarding Mormonism, yer damn right I was "offended"!

  • @42apostate

That some research there. I understand how you feel, I know some of those claims. Example: that polygamy thingy. Well I'll just say I've doubted like you brother. I know how it feels like to be really misunderstood or simply, just confused about that topic. Now let me tell you my brother. I too am offended because of those things also leaders of the church I don't really understand most of them when I was in primary, but u know! I got over it.

  • @rhastan100

    You "got over it"!?

That can only mean ONE THING! You REFUSED to look into those things further and deeper. I did not!

  • @42apostate

Brother, i don't even have a time to argue on those things, I can't even live the simple things in my life how can I ever live and understand at the same time those issues that concern the salvation of a Human soul. I trust His plan for me, I trust even if there are difficult times ahead of me. I'll tell you I don't understand it all at once. But I trust the words the Apostle John spoke, If any man will do His will, ye shall know of the doctrine.

I know you know His plan for us.

  • @42apostate

Concerning about all the things we've been discussing, to the point or not, either biblical context or just philosophies of men, its all for the welfare of us all. That's what I understand, there is always opposition in what the church stand. But my question is, Is our time today different from what happened to the Savior? His Apostles? Or even the Prophets, I even have not met anyone of them.

  • @rhastan100

However, "offended" was NOT the reason I left. If I were to leave because of being offended, I would have left at 12 or 13 years old. I knew early on that offensive actions and words of asshole members should not reflect on "The Church". That's mainly what kept me IN the Church. It was the OFFENSIVE DOCTRINE of Mormonism that got me out and KEEPS me out--ie. MMM, Joe's lies, Briggs bullshit doctrine, LDS doctrine concerning blacks, women and gays. I could list a 100 others!

  • @42apostate btw. it was awesome to see an original copy of the BOM because those are worth hundreds of thousands of dollars now. I was freaking out! Not that you would care. Also, the Book of Mormon states many things that make it impossible for it to have taken place in central or south america. It had to be in eastern united states. Oddly enough one of the only places they have yet to do DNA testing. Wonder why they wont do it? Scared of finding something?

  • @Porojukaha For example, the only references to ANYTHING being built of stone are the walls they built around cities. everything else (whole cities) was built with wood. In South AMerica whole cities were built with stone and almost never were stone walls put around them. Theres other examples too.

  • @Porojukaha i forgot to say that not only have we found the remains of wooden cities in eastern US we have found huge stone walls around them. this reflects perfectly what the Book of Mormon says and it also reflects Mormon Doctrine better because the Promised Land being near /part of Adam-Ohndi-Ahman makes more sense than it being south america. Also, eastern us really IS more of a promised land than the jungle. If God led them to the jungle it would be much WORSE than living in the Middle East

  • @Porojukaha

Alma 49:22 mentions ONLY "earthen banks", ie. NO STONES--except for those they threw at the attacking Lamanites.

  • @Porojukaha

    I "cared" enough to buy my own 1830 edition--for $26 bucks--NOT for"thousands".

WHERE the BoM took place is a moot point. As I said above, Elder Nelson, in the Oct Gen Conf. stated that the BoM was "not...a history book".

Your own Prophets and Apostles (as well as FAIRLDS) disagree with you on the location. Does your opinion cancel the words of prophets? Rod Meldrum agrees with you--trouble is, HE'S NO PROPHET!

Let's see the citation that leaves out the eastern US DNA tests

  • @Porojukaha

DNA testing on the eastern US Indian tribes has been done in as equal dispersement as any other area of the US. Do you just spew out false information because it's FUN to do?? Well, it simply displays your ignorance.

Hill Comorah (NY) was the location of the last great battle of the Nephite/Lamanite wars (supposedly). Why haven't the LDS sponsored archeological digs in that area? Afraid they might NOT find anything?

  • @1MoNoMo you guys are such dorks. you realize that no mormon is going to read this and go. Oh my GOSH, my religion is so FALSE!! I better apostatize because of what i read on YOUTUBE! BTW. get yur facts straight. the only edits that have EVER happened to the book of mormon are changes in references, indexes and punctuation. Some periods and things were missing. also, there are new punctiation rules now, like, we no longer use the Oxford comma. That had to be updated, like any old book

  • Comment removed

  • @Porojukaha

Shouldn't God have known that and given Joseph a good translation to start with?--you know, just so it wouldn't have to be redone?!?

Because of all the changes the BoM has been through, it's my opinion that IF God really did give Joseph the words to the BoM, maybe God should take a few remedial English classes to get himself up to speed on correct spelling & English grammar--just in case he's called upon to again help some future profit translate the "sealed" portion of the BoM?

  • they feeding that girl right

  • FNK every race has been demoralized at some point. We all need to get past that stuff now and try to fix what is wrong today. Past is past we can not change. Present and future is our hands.

  • @somethingbeautiful71

Who was it that said, in effect, that if we do not remember the past, we're bound to repeat it?

I firmly believe that to be true. Maybe that's the reason the Jews, and others, are intent on keeping the holocaust

clearly in our minds--with the hope that it won't happen again. Why do you think scholars have placed "World History" as an important part of education?

The past is the only measure we have of our progress.

Just because it's ugly, we should ignore it?

  • Elder Russel Nelson said, in the last General Conference, "You can invite a friend to read the Book of Mormon. Explain that it is not a novel or a history book."

WOW!!! "NOT a...HISTORY". IF the BoM is NOT historical, what are the implications of that?? Not "HISTORICAL" means that the people, places and events IN the BoM DIDN'T EXIST or DIDN'T HAPPEN!--which is what we've been saying for 10 years or more!!

IS this yet another forced concession by LDS, brought on by DNA science??

  • @42apostate Your pathetic dude. Twisting some words to make yourself sound right is not a hard thing to do. And just wondering, if you disagree with what mormons beleive why are you watching movies about the book of mormon? is it just so you can get your little self righteous opinion out there to a couple youtube users ? believe me no body cares what you think, and your not bringing the mormon church down in any way with comments like this. The only person your hurting is yourself.

  • @b16lotus16

Did I attack YOU? Did YOU say the BoM was not history? NO! Nelson did that! Did YOU withhold the PH from the black man? NO!! THEY did those asinine things. So why are you upset with me, the messenger?

You are absolutely WRONG. I HAVE had Mormons and others, privately mail me and ask for more info, for books and videos and articles. I have no idea what any did with the info. I'm happy just to know someone was paying attention and decided to do their own "due diligence"!

  • @42apostate Did i attack you? Yes i did. Why ? Cause your an absolute moron. First off when Nelson said "Explain that it is not a novel or a history book" all he meant is that the Book of Mormon is neither a fictional novel or boring history book. Where on earth does it say that if a book is not a "history book" it is fictional??? oh yeah thats right it doesn't. Your whole argument is groundless, and even if that is true that you have people emailing you for more info, they need serious help.

  • @b16lotus16

Well thank you for ADDING YOUR words to what Elder Nelson said. NOW it's clear to me!

That's typical Mormonism--adding words to scripture and /or to the words of your leaders in order to make the LDS case. The bible says in a couple of places that one is NOT to "add to or detract from the words of this book"!! If you do the penalty is "let him that does so, be ACCURSED". But, you LDS think that doesn't apply to you!!--as if YOU have some sort holy authority to do it. IDIOT!

  • @b16blotus16

Adding words is the ONLY defense you have!! The words of scripture or leaders can't stand on their OWN without your added words??

And thank you for making it clear WHO is attacking WHOM here. What I am doing is challenging a few of the bizzarro LDS claims and doctrine. No attacking Mormons from me--except in self defense.

AGAIN! That's ALL YOU HAVE!!--to personally attack us and attempt to tear down credibility. You certainly are not successful in answering the challenges!!

  • @42apostate Wow... what's the point of purposely going to LDS videos and stirring contention? It's not civilized in any sort of manner.

  • @orkkrusher

"Uncivilized" in the same sense that Mormons go to NON LDS sites and spread THEIR contention.

How about LDS missionaries (I was one) spreading contention in the world by telling people that their churches are FALSE--that the Mormon Church is the ONLY true church on earth? That's (by your standard) ALSO quite uncivilized. Or, how about JS and other LDS leaders calling Christians and their churches "abominations" and "corrupt" and the "WHORE of the earth"?

    Is THAT civilized??

  • @orkkrusher

So. You must think it's okay for Mormons to "stir up contention" but not for anyone else?

Quite a double standard ya got goin on there, ork!

MY purpose is to stir up logical thought--critical thinking skills, and not trouble or contention. That you might view it that way is not my problem.

  • @b16lotus16

BTW. "your", in this instance, is spelled YOU'RE, as in "you are [you're] pathetic dude". A 25 year-old should know this...

  • "What if all mormon(Morons) became exstint?" The world would become a less judgemental, and a better place. I am Native American and take Jesus Christ as my Lord. And I have been damaged emotionally, because a family of mormons took everything they knew about me, and said I was evil. I still hold on to old tratitions. Jesus himself says. " If they are not agesint us, THEN THEY ARE WITH US" Shame on your beleifs and how you treat other non-mormons...your way IS NOT THE ONLY WAY TO GOD. Grow up.

  • @FuckNorthKorea911 What if there were no trolls in the youtube comment forums? You tube would be a better and less judgmental place. Grow up.

  • @FuckNorthKorea911 oooh you poor thing :( im sorry the mormoms hurt your feelings...... yeah who really needs to grow up ?

  • @b16lotus16

You shouldn't talk like that to this blessed LAMANITE, son of Lehi! Shame...

  • woah he's the amazing singer from the mormon tabernacle choir! i LOVE his voice!:) and funny video btw :)

  • I think it's great that God has allowed the blacks into the preisthood. And one day, if the blacks are righteous, the book of Mormon says they will become white like us.

  • @jmckaskle

okay I just erased what I wrote

I have been singing this song to the kids all night long..does it mean anything to you and do you know it???

Jesus loves the little Children ALL the children of the world. Red and yellow BLACK and white they are precious in His sight Jesus LOVES the little Children of the World

  • @TheRoseville5 Jesus, maybe. Joseph Smith wasn't too fond of yellows, reds, and blacks.

  • @jmckaskle

that just sounds foolish to me

  • @TheRoseville5 Yeah, you're right. God would never let blacks get their own planets. Amiright?

  • @jmckaskle

ur right in that God will not be giving any man planets no matter the color of their skin. John 14:2-3 KJV states In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare aplace for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

  • @jmckaskle

    your comment above...is spam for

Ezekiel 4:12 KJV states "Then the spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of the spirit; but the hand of the Lord was strong upon me."

This so has nothing to do with what I posted and I am sooo not talking about Ezekiel..AS IF!!!!!

  • @TheRoseville5 What KJV are you reading out of? God clearly commands

you to cook your bread with man poop. Besides, what do mansions have to do with getting your own planet after you die? Don't you know anything about mormonism?

  • @jmckaskle

okay so no in the book of Ezekiel God clearly does not state for us to eat bread with #2 in it. Ezekiel Chapter 4 is Ezekiel writing and acting out the fall of Jerusalem.

So, that is clearly history and not pertinent to today. You are right however that I did write down Ezekiel 3:12 my bad :(

Re: planet and mansions. Yes Mormons absolutely believe that they will get their own planet one day to populate it..however the Bible states in Jesus Christs words in red...

  • @TheRoseville5 In that case, none of the bible is pertinant today because it is all in the past. You can't pick and choose what you want to believe is and is not the word f God. You either cook your bread with crap or you go to hell. Jesus said he did not come to over turn the commandments of God. There are no mansions, fruit trees, or streets pave with gold. No virgins awaiting you. But in Mormonism you hey your own planet. Unless you're black. Then you are just SOL.

  • @jmckaskle

    WOW really WOW

okay so I will put it this way..I believe ALL of the Bible..I find obeying it the hard part. Re Ezekiel comment I rd the Bible and believe it in the context in which it was written and then apply to my own life as applicable. I do not have to eat bread w/ #2 as that was an example of the fall of Jerusalem in context to food. No one has to do that. re: the other comments I do believe the Bible and what is in it which is how I know bit of what heaven will be like.

  • @TheRoseville5 If you don't keep the commandments, all of them, not just the pop christian ten commandments, then you ar doomed to eternal torment. Do you follow the dietary laws? Do you suffer witches to live? Do you speak openly and publicly as if you are a man? Will you serve your husband as your husband serves God? Or will you jus pick and choose whatever is convenient like some common idaloter? You sound like a false Christian. Eternal damnation will be yours.

  • @jmckaskle

interesting what you think of me. I actually asked Jesus into my heart when I was 4 yrs old on March 10, 1985 and I do remember it. If I had not asked Him into my heart then then I would have been dead by 16. God raised me not my parents and I would not be hear if not for that. God is my comforter, my helper, my guide..He even tells me when to go get milk and if I don't listen then I regret it later.

  • @jmckaskle

it is quite simple... I am saved by grace and you can be too it says so in the Bible. I WILL spend etenity with my savior in heaven with streets of golden and a house/mansion..I will NOT live on some planet and birth babies for the rest of eternity..This I KNOW and will die knowing..I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ.. I will not be going to Eternal damnation for I personally know my Savior as He does me...how do you feel about this???? do you feel the same re:your belief

  • @jmckaskle

and I crazy crazy crazy disagree with you comment..what do you belive?? do you believe in the planet and that Satan and Jesus Christ are brothers???? I believe that Satan is a fallen angel kicked out of heaven for wanting to be worshipped and above God himself..What do you really believe???

  • @TheRoseville5 You put yourself above God's law and expect Him to reward you with eternal earthly riches. You think you can decide what in the bible applies and does not apply to you depending on how you feel at any moment. The only reward you will see his eternal shame and torment. I have no sympathy for your soul sense you seem to have neither heed of it nor need of it.

  • @jmckaskle

okay JM you sound very angry and I am not sure at what. I opened up at shared my testimony with you of accepting Christ as Lord and Savior of my life at the young age of 4. I am not quite sure where you come off from that as me desiring eternal earthly riches. I could care less about earthly possession, tempting as it is but no important. How on earth did you gather me to be above God's law. JM What specifically did I write stating I am above God's law???

  • @jmckaskle ...what... are you doing?

  • @oiwthepoodles Having a cup of coffee. What are you doing?

  • @jmckaskle

John 14:2-4 please see my previous comment for the word for word version of he KJV yes the Bible says nothing about your own planet..a mansion is not a planet. Mormons just must think populating a planet and being pregnant for eternity is the life. The Bible tells me that I will be be living in my own Mansion, the streets will be paved with real gold, their will be fruit trees and lots and lots of music. their will aslo be no sickness and no sleeping :o)

  • @TheRoseville5 Ah. You read from Ezekiel 3, not 4. Go to Ezekiel 4:12 and do as the lord commandeth.

  • It's so cool!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Very Clever!

  • What would happen if you did all of that? You'd end up with a false gospel, that can only lead to your eternal condemnation (Galatians 1:8).

  • You quote the most mis-interpreted scripture ever and you really know what it means.

You neither know the bible, what the letter Paul made to the Galatians was all for, when he wrote it and what the Galatians were doing that should merit such a letter. Members of the church in Galatia were simply that; members of the covenant church of Christ and they were being scolded. This letter wasn't written to you or for you to bastardize. Under what covenant are you? Look before you leap next time.

  • How do you know whether I know something or not?

When you approach the Bible with incorrect assumptions, there will be discrepancies between your assumptions and the Bible. The question then becomes do you decide that your assumptions are incorrect, or do you decide that the Bible is incorrect?

Mormons choose to keep their assumptions and say the Bible has mistakes.

Rather than telling me THAT I'm wrong, I would appreciate you telling me WHY I'm wrong.

  • I approach the Bible with the spirit of prophecy; having been made a priest unto the Most High God and anointed by the Lord in his temple; (Revelations 1:5-6) I have authority given to me by Jesus Christ. Where does yours come from? Don't pray to find out if the BOOK of MORMON is true. Find out if they be the words of Christ but find out for yourself. Don't take my word for it or another's word against it. Be smart! Don't remain in ignorance. You're not perhaps afraid to do this, are you?

  • @THELDSLIFE tsup with this Galations talk..check out Deuteronomy 13:1-4 and John 3:14-16/John 14:20 and please get back to me on that "and it came to pass stuff" it seriuosly is driving me nutty ugggghhhhhhh

  • Galatians 1:8 - Its the most quoted against LDS & its the least understood. It's

    "Quote mining"

They know not the context behind the scripture, why it was written, to whom, and "WHY" the Galatian branch deserved such a letter from Paul. It was not written to another sect past or future but "Internal affairs" to correct issues written to the covenant members of Christ's ancient church.

It was never meant to be hijacked by folks outside of covenant to be turned against itself; Heb. 13: 20

  • We know what the problem in Galatia was and what the Judaizers were doing. They were requiring deeds such as circumcision in order to be saved. Much like Roman Catholics, LDS, Jehovah's Witnesses, Oneness Pentecostals, Church of Christ and others add their own good or religious deeds as a requirement for salvation.

Galatians is a direct refutation of the Mormon system of works salvation, and their false gospel.

  • You admit the problem was with Galatian and Paul wrote to Galatia with regards to their problems. It was an internal affairs issue

yet you still try to force the "circle toy" into the square hole, my friend. I learned a long time ago to quit doing things like that. It will never fit your private interpretation of that verse. It's almost laughable now how you try to push a puzzle piece in somewhere where it doesn't go... You speak as if you have authority to do so but you have no credentials.

  • Do you believe there are any lessons to be learned from Paul's letter to the Galatians?

  • We learn that at times, the area leaders need training & Paul did so by way of letters & visits. We also do this. If bishops claim to have visions or teach things contrary to the gospel of Jesus Christ given by prophets or by the scriptures, the prophet/apostle has a sacred obligation to help correct false teachings under the direction of the priesthood which they had then & we today have from Christ. We learn about the early church of Christ as it's compared to its latter-day counterpart.

  • That's all you learn from the book of Galatians? This is a very novel hermeneutic. Don't you have to throw out all of the pastoral epistles?

Do your fellow Mormons know they have no need for the book of Galatians? Are you sure your prophet/apostle shouldn't come down on you for this?

Are you sure you're not tossing Galatians, because it refutes Mormonism? At least you're honest about it, many Mormons claim to believe the Bible until they're really pressed. You came right out with it.

  • lol...

What church do you belong to?

What sort of rank do you have in this church?

  • I'm serious about the questions I asked. I've never heard your theory before, and I want to know more.

I go to Calvary Chapel. My rank in the church is chief sinner (1 Tim 1:15), and servant (Matt 20:26-28). But, by God's grace, I am born again as a new creation and a child of God. I have the Spirit of Christ living in me (Romans 8:9-17). I have all the authority I need to proclaim the good news given to me directly by God.

  • I have been ordained of God, as was Aaron. (See Hebrews 5:1-4)

I received the priesthood of God through the laying on of hands by my father, Reid Nelson.

I can trace this priesthood authority from man to man until it was returned to men by John the Baptist as well as Peter, James and John; I have been made a priest and anointed King unto the Lord, as spoken of by John the Revelator: (See Revelations 1:5-6)

I am willing to suggest that you have not been ordained as such yet in this life.

  • I guess my original response to this comment got lost. I mentioned that I'm interested in hearing what your justification is for your hermeneutic. Surely that is a reasonable request.

Are there other books of the Bible or LDS Scriptures that you say are not applicable to us?

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: (1 Peter 3:15)

  • @bsp256

Oh My Gosh!!!!! I have never ever ever heard the word Hermeneutic before..what on earth is that suppose to mean!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?

  • @THELDSLIFE

    Congratulaions

  • @THELDSLIFE

yes it is compared so whats up with the "and it came to pass" in Nephi 1 and 2

    crazy interested

  • @THELDSLIFE

um have you read Deuteronomy 13:1-4????

  • Alex, you spoke at my Youth conference 2 years ago at the oldest still active chapel. I dont even know if you remember, but I do. It was the most memorable talk i herd there. And trust me that is saying a whole lot. Thanks

  • to all you people contradicting the BOM.

try reading and praying about it first ;-)

  • Acts 17:11 says, "These [the Bereans] were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so."

Why should I pray about the BOM? I search the scriptures daily to see what is true, and the BOM is false.

  • So did you really just say "why should i pray"?

what you said is almost exactly like saying

"why should i pray? I know better than god would"

when you ask our heavenly father through prayer he will tell you. I have never heard a story were someone truly prayed about the BOM and received the answer No.

  • Did I say, "Why should I pray?" No. You misquoted me. I asked why I should pray about the BOM.

Did you read the verse I gave you? Did the Bereans pray about whether they should believe Paul? No, they searched the Scripture, and they were commended for doing so.

Would you like to be commended? You should determine whether Mormonism is true by studying the Bible.

I've never known anyone who knew the Bible who believed in the BOM.

  • Except every Mormon, they know bible.

And Don't say I don't study the bible. I woke up at 5 in the morning every week-day last school year to study it.

And know whats funny? It only helped me believe in the BoM more, which I am studying right now.

And please do not respond back until you have prayed about the Book of Mormon sincerely. Because it sounds like to me that you are ether saying you know better than our heavenly father, or your scared to receive the answer you know is coming.

  • Why won't you answer my questions? What is the biblical basis for praying about the BOM? I've shown you that isn't how the Bible says how to determine the truth.

Should I pray whether I should commit adultery? Should I pray about the Quran?

I have no doubt that your god is different than mine, and he may have given you a burning bosom. However, my God, who is Jesus Christ, the God of the Bible, and isn't the brother of Satan, doesn't want me to join religions that contradict the Bible.

  • Oh, sorry. I didn't see your question.

    It's James 1:5-6

  • Asking God whether the BOM is true is not the same as asking for wisdom. Wisdom helps you to make good decisions; it's not a gut feeling or a sign.

Matt 16:4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign...

Again, in Acts 17:11, the Bereans were commended for testing Paul based on the Scripture and were commended. If Paul wasn't above testing why would Joseph Smith be?

Don't you want God to commend you for testing Smith? If you'd like to test him, I have a few questions for you.

  • @nnlamb25

Girl Sweet!!! I have the perfect question for you and I hope you answer me. I am studying the BofM also now Why the hec does Nephi 1 and 2 say "And it came to pas" like a trillion times..I read it so much I think the words "And it came to pass" is haunting me in my dreams...so what gives??? thanks for answering TR5

  • wow... We can send each-other mad comments all week, but that wont change a thing, and I don't enjoy doing this. If you really, really want to prove me wrong than just pray about it and see what happens. It's not like it will hurt! lol

  • What makes you think I'm mad? I'm certainly not. I'm only pleading with you to urgently consider the Bible, because your eternity depends on it.

Why do you assume I've never prayed to be led to the truth? I pray every time I read the Bible. I pray about where to go to church.

However, if you really studied the Bible and investigated the prophethood of Smith I can assure you it will hurt. It may cost you friends and family, but you are to die to yourself and live for Jesus (Matt 16:24-25).

  • @nnlamb25

not sure if you are lds or christian or other but I was just reading yhour comment..so I suggest if you are LDS please pray to The Spirit before you read passages John 14:20, John 3:14-16 Romans 3:23, Romans6:23 and Galations 5:8-10 and yes I just threw that last one out for fun...loving you..good luck and may the Spirit be with you as you read :)

  • @bsp256

try not to be so narrow minded or pig-headed. you got a good thing going but you need to be tweaked. please pray quietly and ask God to reveal to you what

His intentions are and then go on You Tube to converse. I love the Mormons more then anythins as you might also but you are begining to sound a little rude and pig headed. calm down and refocus.. God will use you where needed humble yourself and check out Proverbs please and YES I am calling you out on the carpet

  • @nnlamb25

and to all you studying the Bof M try asking the Spirit first and answer my question on "what the hey does Nephi 1 and 2 say "And it came to pass" like a trillion times..good grief I felt like I was trying to be convinced of something when I was reading it.uggghhhh drove me nuts and boring readin the same 5 words 30 times in one chapter seriously what the hey why does it say and it came to pass so much who cares..driving me crazy

  • Very cool. I'd love to chill with Alex Boye.

  • yes this does make me think twice...lol I need to make scripture reading a higher priority.

  • @JoeyPittSteelers

    which book THB or BoM???

  • @TheRoseville5 well both silly...lol The Bible and The Book of Mormon :)

  • Thank you, that was very inspiring. I feel the need to go read my scriptures now.

  • I would like to say that I know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live and that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ.

  • lol but cell phones dont make you where funny underwear and i wood love to see your ass get in to a car crash and in stead of calling for help on your cellphone you call for it on you dumb ass book!!

  • really? you know this because you have prayed & studied the Book of Mormon (another Testament of Jesus Christ)????????

  • lol, i bet if you prayed it would be more effective than having a cell phone, no matter what the outcome.

  • I've heard this somewhere before but honestly if we treated the B.O.M. like our cell phones the youth (and even adults) of our church would honestly have a fewer problems because they'd be constantly walking with the savior and the holy ghost as their body guards. I know with all my heart it is true and if you're not sure if the Book of Mormon is true then I would challenge you to read and pray about it. You WILL know of it's truth, I PROMISE! Stand tall, stand proud and be as the army of god!

  • They had a song really similar to this skit at the Day of Celebration (commemoration of the prophet Joseph Smith) in Salt Lake City, Utah in the Rice-Eccles Stadium at the University of Utah on July 16, 2005 sung by Dean Kaelin called "Call Home." Maybe that was it?

  • Maybe i don't know but i think it's awesome. I just got back from girls camp and i was glad i didn't had my BOM it was awesome.

  • glad you didn't have your phone?

Girls' camp is so much fun - I miss it

  • Sorry I think I had a space moment there.. i was glad I didn't have my phone and had my BOM instead because it was awesome! Instead of wasting my time sending texts i spent my time growing closer to the Savior! AMAZING experience.

  • :) I'm glad you did - it is awesome.
