God Janick REALLY fuck up Adrian Smith's solo in this I dont really like hime or Baily. Huge Maiden fan tho seen them twice Ozzfest 05, and the Somewhere Back In Time Tour. Both times they were Amaizing.

They give their fans their money's worth, unlike other bands, & play when incidents like this happen. The only thing that would keep them from playing to these fans would have been total equipment failure or power failure. One asshole in a crowd doesn't dictate a damned thing.

Every band will stop, explain what happened & call the person out. The whole point is to stop it from happening again. And if they canceled the show there would have been a riot. Axl Rose used to cancel shows when people threw things at him & he ended up with riots on his hands. Canceling a show is unprofessional, this isn't.

They chose Blaze because they didn't want to have a German band member in an all-British band.

To clear some things up, I found an interview with Blaze after some searching. Apparently about 5 or 6 kids at the barrier were spitting at Maiden--not just Blaze, but also at Dave and Janick and whoever else went into that general region. Blaze found them during "The Trooper" and after the song had them ejected from the stadium. Search "maiden norway blaze interview" and it's the first result, if you feel like reading it.
I saw Maiden live with Blaze back in 1995, at the start of the X-factour. He was much better than here, but I understand that he was super-pissed off here. Someone threw a beer/spat at him. I'd be mad too.
Besides, why are people angry at Blaze when Bruce QUIT the band?

If you can actually enjoy Blaze's voice, good for you. Hilarious video though, one of my favorites. Not that spitting on someone is acceptable, but for that performance right there they had it coming.
Anyway, I think Blaze's voice was just too deep for most of Maiden's previous stuff. Even with some of the stuff they had him sing on Virtual XI. He was suited perfectly for the type of music they wrote on The X Factor, but then they turned around and wrote a bunch of stuff that just didn't suit his voice well.
He's a really good singer. Just wasn't the best choice for this particular band.

I think at around 1:21 harris or bailey gets spit on, and they wait till the end to completely flip out. But you can tell during the song they're still pissed, like flipping that person off, etc.

To clear some things up, I found an interview with Blaze after some searching. Apparently about 5 or 6 kids at the barrier were spitting at Maiden--not just Blaze, but also at Dave and Janick and whoever else went into that general region. Blaze found them during "The Trooper" and after the song had them ejected from the stadium. Search "maiden norway blaze interview" and it's the first result, if you feel like reading it.

I saw Maiden live with Blaze back in 1995, at the start of the X-factour. He was much better than here, but I understand that he was super-pissed off here. Someone threw a beer/spat at him. I'd be mad too.

Anyway, I think Blaze's voice was just too deep for most of Maiden's previous stuff. Even with some of the stuff they had him sing on Virtual XI. He was suited perfectly for the type of music they wrote on The X Factor, but then they turned around and wrote a bunch of stuff that just didn't suit his voice well.
He's a really good singer. Just wasn't the best choice for this particular band.
