Isn't there a video showing what really happen. Its been said that ryu was facing sagat and while ryu was down sagat lend a hand but evil ryu came and gave sagat the scar. This video isn't whats been said. This makes sagat look evil which he isn't.

@Johnnyboybravo What you've been saying is true.... however Capcom added that story as part of the canon during the Street Fighter Alpha games.... the animated movie came before SFA and the animated movies dont really stick to the canon 100%...

You guys do realize this movie isnt rlly accurate. Like this fight for example. In the match between Sagat and Ryu in the finals of the tournament. Sagat had Ryu beaten and when Sagat went over to pick him up Ryu caved in to the Dark Hadou and used the Metsu Shoryuken to give Sagat that scar.

technically it would've made more sense for Capcom to give Ken the shinku hadoken/shinku tatsumakisempukyaku and Ryu the Shoryureppa/Shinryuken bc of his story connection to the dragon punch (SFII ending Ryu can be seen dragon punching the waterfall) and obviously the story behind Sagat's scar. But i guess they tried to correct themselves by giving him the shinku shoryuken...

guys if you read the udon comics Sagot got the scar in the tournament when Ryu was filled a little with the Dark Hadou instead of them fighting alone.............i think the animators who did this chose to let them fight outside because ITS COOLER.

Actually, Ryu's Metsu Shoryuken (Which is the one he just did) does much more damage than Ken's Shinryuken. Which is why he managed to scar Sagat.

Akuma and evil ryu are almost equal but shin akuma is even stronger and gouken is probably equal or stronger than akuma. And Gen is equal to akuma as well. But if he was younger, he could probably kill akuma. That's what i think.

@eljhon42 I think you are talking about street fighter generations. It shows lots of fights between akuma and ryu at the end but I believe ryu gave in to the dark energy, which pretty much makes him evil ryu. There is no way the nomal ryu could have beaten akuma, if he did, he wouldn't have lost to ken. Remember now, ryu and ken learned the toned down version of antensuken or whatever while akuma and gouken learned the killer art. And normal ryu cannot use it while evil ryu can.
