But when you slap on some bolt-ons like exhaust, intake, front-mount intercooler, and maybe Cobb reflesh, etc etc, a MS3 can easily reach 300bhp mark. Same thing apply to this car, it has larger exhaust, better intake and better tuning and such. Plus this car has higher compression ratio than a MS3 so that it will make more power per pound of boost. Also different turbo at the same PSI will supply different volume of air too.
@johnshih My toyota supra with just exhaust and a washer trick , I have 320 WHP. is there a rod knock? My engine the 7mgte and 2jzgte, can handle on the stock engine with an upgraded turbo kit 800 RWHP RearWheelHorsePower Reliably daily driver. NO INTERNAL ENGINE MODIFICATION REQUIRED. It pushes it alllll day. This motor would clunk on the stock engine with 800HP cranked through a turbo.

But if I would choose, I would still go with smaller and lighter cars with AWD such as STI or Evo..... just suits me better I think haha.... Anyways, there is no rod knock, its slight piston slap from the forged internals and gets better as car gets warmer.
There's a difference between ricer and tuner ricer is an over done wanna be fast and furious. Mazda 6 and 3s are fwd I believe some 6s are awd... nice job on the car btw zoom zoom

$400 for a 5 psi supercharger installed in a half hour. gives 5 psi.at 25,000-50,000rpm in 1/10 second. Hooks up straight to the air filter system instead of a head mounted unit. straight from the battery on 12 volts with performance chip. Harnest and all. Is that a much cheaper deal? My tranny is an automatic. I know nothing about any of it. I just bought a mustang 89 lx for $500 and it's going on it to be resold for profit.
@godin007 If its one of those electronic supercharger, please dont buy it as it does nothing. They might advertise it is up to 5psi, but it probably can only make 1~2psi max. As for performance chips, dont even get me started as they are just junk. In real world, making hp is not an easy task and requires time, money, and patience. It took me almost 4 years to build up this car to this point, going from stock 160bhp to 350bhp @13psi

Its a hatch. I guess exhaust is always the first thing to mod, since you can keep it either if you choose to go with FI or NA.
Then if you choose to go with the NA route, upgrade your header and intake would be the next step.
If you choose to go with the FI route, there are several turbo kit companies out there making quality kits for 2.0 engine. Search up Tri-Point, F2 Racing or Reactive Racing and see what you can find.

yeah, with automatic, not too sure if you can push 11psi of boost....... from what I heard, 5psi is a safe level for automatics
