@Amcacs5654 It's coming! Sorry, I have been extremely busy lately. If you are wondering if you should get it now, I would say for the price it's well worth it.
@shouldigetit Yes, you are stupido amigo. The crop factor of a Nikon APS-C (DX) camera is 1.5x, it's not a Canon which is a 1.6x. So basically it's a 60 mm equivalent lens.
@shouldigetit Hey! I just got a 35mm f1.8 lens... and I do not know why am itching to exchange the 40mm which I wanted in the first place. :( Would it be a good idea, you think?! Thanks.

DX is 1.f crop factor, so multiply by 1.5x, not 1.6x. Multiply 40mm by a 1.6x crop factor and its a 64mm equivalent.

I'm confused by the crop factor with DX/FX. Let's say I wanted to get this for my D3100, what would the actual focal length be?

@H2pachecO3 Multiply 40mm by a 1.6x crop factor and its a 64mm equivalent.

@shouldigetit 1.6 is canon, you should learn more
MsQwerty20092009 5 months ago
@shouldigetit its a 1.5 crop on nikon, 1.6 is canon
DODPHOTOGRAPHY 1 month ago
@shouldigetit Don't you add a 1.5x crop factor, and not a 1.6x? I thought only Canon had 1.6x....
sk8dude9999 1 month ago
@sk8dude9999 It is 1.5 on Nikon. Not sure why you got that. Sorry about the confusion.

@H2pachecO3 Its a 60mm, not a 64mm, your have to multiply everything by 1.5 :)

@AcornBurrka That would be a great kit!

@shouldigetit
I was thinking either this or the 35mm ƒ/1.8 lens
AcornBurrka 7 months ago
@AcornBurrka I have a review of the 35 1.8 on my channel. I would probably get that (because of price)

@avocadoplus If you already have the 35 1.8 keep it, then add a 85mm Macro to your collection, I promise you'll be happier with that.

hey, What do you think about a fisheye lens with this 40mm lens?
StrictlyJdN 7 months ago
@StrictlyJdN You mean like a fisheye adapter or attachement?
shouldigetit 7 months ago
@shouldigetit Whats the difference. I believe an attachment. It would screw on the nikon lens tread.
StrictlyJdN 7 months ago
@StrictlyJdN The difference is price and quality. Fisheye lens with 40 would be too tight. You should get a 35 or less with the fisheye.

That's a pretty good price :O
