I also like the way his voice sounds neutral and indeterminate, and not macho. The point is we can only talk about our aesthetic sensibilities, not absolutes in these things.

Anyway, I wish these clips included the Sanskrit portion of the song and some one would upload the other songs (in full) from Karnan.

These verses spoken by Krishna is the essence of Bhagavad Gita. Arjun in war refuses to go against his kith and kin on the opposite faction. Krishna educates him on the transcendental nature of human spirit, and explains to him how each human soul is nothing but a quintessential manifestation of Himself - the God. He further says to Arjun that It is one's duty to do whatever it takes to restore Dharma (justice) and in doing so all actions and it's consequences will be borne by the lord himself.

The fact that people think that India has a national language and it is hindi is nothing but a misinformed quote thanks to our hindi speaking brothers. The constitution did provide for directives for the development of hindi language in the devanagari script albeit but that doesn't make it our national language :)

@karthi40, you have got it the other way round. Hindi is not *the* national language of India. There are 15+ national languages of India as per its country's constitution. Hindi is one of the two *official* languages of the central government of India.

The point is that India is not a nation but it is a Union of nations such as the Telugu nation, Bengali, Tamil nation and so on.
