I love these guys! I have seen them many times, but, holy cow! Pat has gained at least 100 lbs after the last time I've seen them. Pat, please drop some weight! Your fans love you! I want you in my living room one day!

Whenever I hear someone say that were NO good bands in the 80s, they need to be reminded of acts like the Smithereens, The Rainmakers, Beat Farmers, Long Ryders, Jason and the Scorchers, etc.

These guys were really a damn good American band. Long live the Smithereens.
