@wizymc Pretty much anything thats not aggressive and big enough that they frogs won't be able to eat. Guppies work nicely. some tetra. If you have guppies the frogs will eat the fry. Which is good to keep from overpopulation of your tank.
Make sure you are getting african dwarf frogs because african clawed frogs will eat anything. and they get huge.
@ISkylerI make sure you put some plants that have suction cups and suction them to the side of the tank where the water meets the air so the frogs can get a break from the swimming
if you get a 20+ gallon tank you might want air pockets so that the fat ones dont have to swim all the way to the top. what you do is you cut off about two inches off the bottom of a water bottle, attach some fishing line to the underside of a rock, attach the fishing line to the cut side of the two inch section, and fill it up with air. about every week or so when it runs out of air, you have to fill it up with air again.
i have a baby one and it is soooo cute. it has all of its limbs fully developed and is a male because of the white bump under its armpit. i also have annother frog that is about a half a year older and is a female. they get along fine
just got 2 yesterday, one of them has long legs.

could i get a regular rock if i wash it good or will it make the ph high ??
bettafishlover14 1 year ago
@bettafishlover14 I always have used natural rocks. Frogs like a higher PH anyways.

are live better than frezzed bloodworms
bettafishlover14 1 year ago
@bettafishlover14 I think they are both the same. Frozen has less risk of parasites.
imabadspeler 1 year ago
could i feed them live blood worms?
bettafishlover14 1 year ago
@bettafishlover14 Yeah you can!

do freeze dried blood worms sink to the bottom because i heard they are bottom feeders
kenocartel 2 years ago
No they float. It's better to buy just frozen bloodworms.
imabadspeler 2 years ago
@kenocartel yea they do. but if they float @ the top ( in a small tank) then they go to snatch it up at the top 2.

mine don't swim alot, I have had them for like 3 months but they don't swim as much as people say, is their something wrong with mine?
alyshae101 3 years ago
They don't swim that much, normally they stay on one place until they need a breath of air. How big of a tank do you have them in?
imabadspeler 3 years ago
You are way better off with 10 gallons per frog because these frogs love to swim.
wcrimi3 3 years ago
Keeping in mind this is an African Dwarf frog, not African clawed. But yes, bigger the better. I was giving a minimum.
imabadspeler 3 years ago
