The galaxy s phones are manufactured by samsung. Simply put the hummingbird processor is better built for multitasking. Making it superior. You think they will give the competition better hardware? I just re-read your post and realized you meant more sturdily built. Yes, the iphone is heavier if thats what you mean. I see why that might mean something to someone. But there are phones like the captivate that have carbon fiber backing to it and a cool design, in my opinion. Even still, i was mainly talking about specs that made the iphone look like junk. i like the android os better (motorola droid wise), but google certainly needs to improve on the android OS speed when it comes to a new update to phones that are about 1-2 years old . Look at the HTC eris, when it was running 2.1, it was very nice and runned smooth, but when 2.2 came it was horrible and laggy most of the time. Same thing happened with my motorola droid. that is about the only problem i have.
