My first flight into Kodiak from Anchorage November 2007, SCARY!!!!! Touched down, very hard landing, very quick stop. Kind of made me feel sick. But any landing that you can walk away from is a good landing. On Alaska Airlines !
I want to go to Alaska, it seems just so untouched and amazing! To bad that I live in Norway at the moment, as tickets to Alaska is way to expensive :( Thanks for uploading, and nice video cam handling :)
Well-done video. I have flown Anchorage-Kodiak before, but only on Era's DH8s. Flying the route on a 737 is a different experience, but they're both scenic (unless socked in, of course). I had forgotten about the intersecting runways, but I have NOT forgotten about the mountains obstructing the field. They are treacherous, but absolutely beautiful in clear weather!
Lol, I was on one from anc to adq when they nearly hit the mountain, we were nearly straight up, everyone got very quiet, the stewardesses came round later asked if we needed anything, my friend asked for a parachute.

Thanks "bridlington" for your simple high-quality video. We came close to the "water" back in '66.
