  • One day I'll watch this movie in full...soon...very soon...

  • it's beautiful!!

  • wt a romantic atmsphere...:)

  • i dont like paro character, lets see, while her mom trying convince devdas family about the marriage by lowering her pride with dancing and entertaining the whole family, she is busy whoring herself in the woods LOL.....

  • @karampang LMAO XD

  • Wow Aishwarya in that color on the water. I've never seen anything more beautiful

  • Awesome song...I love it....:-)

  • The old man is dancing for celebrate the marriage of Paro and Dev, their children. But the mom of Dev and her daughter-in-law are jealous of Paro because Dev pays more attention to Paro than to her and Paro is poor.

  • Jaimeeeeee

  • and why is the old man in the window crying?

  • @Tefiike he's paro's father, he's crying because he must've thought dev's mother said yes to their children's marriage

  • @Tefiike Actually his wife comes from the Caste of "Entertainers" and he from a higher caste, and after getting married, his wife never sung and danced again until then when she did so to ask Devdas' hand in mariage for her daughter...

  • and one more question ..

why she didnt want that the boy help she,and removes the thing from shes foot?

    (sorry for the bad english)

  • @Tefiike because it would hurt her :) the lyrics explains a bit this part also.

  • @Tefiike it's symbolic - look at what happens to the man when he kisses her foot, what does she do?

  • what was happend in this part?

And why is the boy removing all the beautifull jewerlys from Aishwara???

And why is the old woman dancing and singing like crazy?:D

  • @Tefiike The DVD said that they were mimicking the karma sutra positions. She is loosing innocence with a man who is becoming like a husband to her, without sex, just because she is seeing his true nature when it comes to her body.

  • Now thats wot I call a multi-tasking woman, who can balance 2 pots, a lamp & aswell as make out wid SRK at the same time. Kiron looks lyk shes possessed or sommit

  • Kirron Kher.... she is just outstanding... marvellous. Aish, .... yes. Aish. Her look is flawless and this movie is all over beautiful. I love it.

  • Meraviglioso!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *.*

  • Aishwarya is so gorgeous...

  • i like this 2.....

  • brilliant brilliant brilliant BRILLIANT!

  • @1998ishita Jaspinder Narula

  • who is the singer?

  • Hey you Bollywood fans!

  • I watched this movie just by chance because my college library carried it. I was amazed by how beautiful this movie was from cinematography, story, choreography, set designs, clothing.... It was all amazingly extravagant. No exaggeration. I loved it and cried at the end. It's a must buy on my list.

  • Stuff like this is worth watching, sadly, Bollywood is turning into Hollywood all there new movies are just copies. Hate the new Bollywood!

  • paro's mom and devdas' gma are awesome<3

  • what amount of gentlemanship is required to show this classiness in romance......hats off to direction

what amount of grace and gentleness z required by a girl to outbeat such a tender atmosphere

and SRK as an actor can make love to stone too....and now its ash.....so thats once for all combination

  • I'm team madhuri

  • i love dis movie !! beautiful

  • when i watched this movie By GOD..i can,t sleep for 3 days..because i was searching the true definition of Love,Emotions,Die for Someone....

  • @Thewaseem00000 It is biochemistry, hormones. Love is what you feel at the moment. The need for exclusivity and control is also love, or love is an excuse to demand exclusivity and exercise control. That is the modern definition from a book I cannot recall.

  • pfft and they say there's no sex in Indian Movies

  • @MrAnubuis You didn't see an actual sex-scène in the movie, so there is no problem

  • @MrAnubuis ever seen band baaja baarat ?

  • @MrAnubuis lol exactly

  • Love This Sooo Much!!

  • m speechless . . . . .

its an all time CLASSIC of Indian cinema

Classic is a small word for this EPIC

thank you Sanjay !!!! thank you so much

  • This song is so beautiful!! The undiscovered love between devdas and paro and the fact that it is being rejected by the parents and still initiated by them. The choreography is marvelous, especially from 3:36 to 4:18. I absolutely love Kirron Kher in this as well! She is just as beautiful!

  • @msubramanian2040 she overacts...

  • احلى فيلم هندي شفتة بحياتي واحلى ممثلين فية

  • من روائع أفلام الرومانسية الهندية فى غاية الروعة والقمة عن جد هذا المقطع من الفيلم بيجنن

  • This has to be the subtlest sex scene ever. The covert eroticism in this song is so much more beautiful than the grotesque stuff they have these days. Every movement is so significant - it basically signifies Paro giving her virginity to Devdas. But the way they do it is just so artful & poetic. Incredible

  • @Gtrain229109 You made it sound so deep and great, but i never realised she gave up her virginity..

  • i think when he kisses her foot and she makes that moany face its a metaphor for something else... hmm

  • @cutiefrogskermit naturally...and listen to the lyrics carefully

  • بتجنن حبيبى

  • very nice movie i have ever seen and music awesome subject matter acting everything is perfect

  • thats so romantic

  • one of the best Indian Movie I think and the sets are simply amazing. It was one of the most expensive film in its time.

    Cheers..

  • Ohh! Yes defo.... Tell me about it!!;))

  • 1:37 if anyone gave me that look i would slap them

  • @crip23walk23 just slap that bitch ok, on behalf of me! haha

  • pobre sumitra :( .poor Sumitra (T.T)

  • The look in his eyes at 4:00 is sooooo perfect.

  • ana anbzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzaa

  • nice video from devdas film

  • He such a handsome man and she is so pretty!

  • THE SONG IS SO BEAUTIFUL IN ALL ASPECTS WHETHER ITS MUSIC CHOREOGRAPHY SINGING ACTING OR THE WAY ITS SHOT,ONLY ONE WORD BEAUTIFUL. ASH U ROCK BABY................:-)

  • aish is shit. This movie was all about SRK!!!!

  • @aishwaryafan4eva

thats y u go on eating your shit..

    shitty rascal...u drunk pig

  • @336chandan piss off 336cuntdick

  • @aishwaryafan4eva

    hi ugly...

always your mouth is full of shit.

    nice 4 u.

  • @sexyboy9992 hi uglyboy9992 please piss off shit face

  • Aishwarya Rai stole the show in the film. The film should've been renamed "Paro" instead of "Devdas". So big was her impact! Kudos to her acting, dance, grace and elegance.

  • wtf i love the scenes with srk & aish ♥♥♥

  • The male actor at the beginning looks just like a man who played in the movie "My Name is Khan". Does anybody know if that's who it is?

  • @jlrobins87

    They are the same person. His name is Shahrukh Khan. [;

  • @Naatashax3 Thanks!! It was a good movie:-)

  • @jlrobins87 yes. The actors name is: shah rukh khan.

I can't believe that you've watched Indian movies and don't know who he is. He is a LEGEND!

  • @cellina14 Well that was the only Indian movie I've seen:-) But it was good!

  • I think that even if maduri was the whore in this movie, she was very decent and a better actress than aish. ! im not an aish Hater!

  • I always skip this song in the movie because of the scene that follows. It's so sad to see Sumitra dancing so exultant and then brought to tears by those two bitches...

  • @Eriol134 Exactly How I feel !

  • voll die scheice werbung

  • SHAH RUKH KHAN WAS THE HOTTEST LIVING MALE BACK THEN!

  • AHÍ SALE MI HERMANO MARCO TOÑO JAJAJAJAJAJAJA KE HACES EN LA INDIA TÚ......

  • i think that this movie was a work of art - it is mgical, fantastical, the best indian movie i have ever seen or will see - ash, madhu, sharukh all look super cool aswell as all the other actors. it is an epic that everyone will remember - and dewika i think youre jealous -lol - BADASS movie - loved everyminute of it.

    OMGG kill herr

  • @Dewika1995 hater.

  • omg, the fucking advertisements are disgusting.

  • Great song i love the parts with shahrukh and ash

  • is the water scene a metaphor about them having sex? like when he takes off all her jewellery and the veil when he pulls it off?

  • Comment removed

  • @eyebrowsQ8 I guess so.............I guess it suppose to intensify the "moment" Or might just be play, who knows?

  • @eyebrowsQ8 yeap, they are having sex.

  • @eyebrowsQ8

    awwkiies!

  • @eyebrowsQ8

I took a class where we watched this movie and I learned it relates to the story about Krishna. He would flirt with the Gopis who would be going to get water and he would poor water on them--so yeah it was sexual and an allusion to Krishna and the Gopis.

  • @seniorityrulz11 wow thanx i didn't know that!

  • @seniorityrulz11 This is song was about the love of Krishna and Radha specifically. Radha was a Gopi and Krishna was a Gopala.

  • @seniorityrulz11 which is exactly what makes this movie so brilliant, because look at the next song you see in this movie (Kaahe Chhed Mohe): what does Madhuri as the dancer portray? ON:LY THEN does Devdas realize that Paro shouldn't be 'just a milkmaid', but by then...too late....(find a video with subtitles, you'll understand it immediately).

  • @eyebrowsQ8 Yes.

  • @eyebrowsQ8 The flowing water is a metaphor rather of intimacy, than actual physical relationship between the two. The Radha and Krishna comparison is important here, for they loved each other but could not be together.

  • @eyebrowsQ8 That's what I also assumed it is. Even the scenes with her mother dancing in front of Devdas's family are supposed to be taken in a metaphorical sense as it's implying how she's doing everything and putting herself out there to try to get Devdas and Paro engaged.

  • @eyebrowsQ8 Yea, it's called, foreplay. No need to see the actual deed because the actions before it leads you into a frenzy. Very stimulating. Beautifully made and the director must be seasoned in his craft if he can make people see what is considered sacred and intimate. I adore this movie!

  • @eyebrowsQ8 LOL, yes

  • Comment removed

  • @eyebrowsQ8 I am also confused, but I don't think it is a metaphor for sex. Their love was purely Romantic.

  • @eyebrowsQ8 i think so

  • @eyebrowsQ8 I think so, yes, but they did not. It was very spiritual, in my opinion

  • @eyebrowsQ8 I meant to say symbolic, of Radha and Krishna

  • @eyebrowsQ8 the water scene is about him asking her hand in marriage.this the tradition.

  • @eyebrowsQ8 i could be wrong because ive never read the book but my friend told me that in the novel this scene is when they have sex

  • @IIISeptemberIII There's a novel? :O i must see!!

  • breathtakingly beautiful...everything about this movie...aishwarya n shahrukh should act in more movies together, she's one actress who makes every man look good beside her

  • her expressions are so good!

  • @jumperchu

    i no rite!!

  • Traumpaar ! :) wunderschöner Film, wunderschöne Aish, sexy SRK und hamma guter Film! echt klasse dieser song ♥

  • yeah das true sche look cute.

  • Aish was fantastic with the pot on her head

  • I love this Vid and really like to know what she saying when she sings.can someone please traslate me :)

  • @Garacka the lines goes like this- my love my heart's beating loudly with fear, dnt touch my hand - i feel shy, leave me, its my promise 4 u, dont be stubborn, let me go my love, leave me u crazy - dont tease me my love. (its only aishwarya's lines)

  • lovely

  • I love Kiran Kher's dialogue in the scene right after this song. She is an awesome actress.

  • how come he was taking off her jewelry??

  • @Kurasu545 good question....

  • @Kurasu545 It's symbolic, and means he's seducing her. It is not allowed to show nudity or sexual actions in Indian movies - not even a kiss! - so symbolism is used instead, to tell what's really going on.

  • sneha choudhary i love u amit goswami.........{sant nagar}.........9868643672

  • is this the moment when some people interpret that paro and devdas slept together? in any case, there is obviously much more to this scene than just some indecent behaviour, as some may want us to believe!
