I know I'm going to get spammed for this but who gives a shit, gotta be honest every once in a while. Hay = great musician, Starr = Beatles fifth wheel living of the coat tails of Harrison, McCartney and Lennon ...a chimpanzee could play drums better than that ding dong.
@sweetbilly Mark Lewisohn -- as an authority as it gets -- has listened to every sound the Beatles have recorded. Ringo makes not a single mistake. Is he Bonham or Moon? No. But listen to what he does on "Rain," Next, find a chimp that can play the drum sequence that occurs on "The End." Finally, don't be this angry -- use your honesty on more worthy causes, ones you actually know something about,
@takewhatswrongand like I said I knew someone was going to spam me. Of course he doesn't make a mistake, Ringo Starr plays the most simple rhythms a drummer can play he couldn't handled John Bonham on the best day of his life! Mark Lewishon is entitled to his own opinion, as are you, as am I, and I happen to think Ringo Starr's playing abilities are a Joke. ...and who's angry, I was simply making a statement you're the one leveling insults.
MMM... I don't know... You can have 2 guitars in a band, even 3 just like The Eagles and other groups do... More than 1 keyboard it's OK, and even 2 electric basses seems to be fine...
But 2 drumsets? I don't know, call me unsensible, idiot, or call me an unsensible idiot, but I find it useless, kind of annoying!
Other than that, Colin Hay it's plain amazing! Time doesn't touch his voice years after years, and that's sooo cool!

"Ringo" fans.... I hope U will check out the video for my song " RINGO ". It's a very retro video with Beatleish touches. It was done as a labor of love and with the utmost respect for the Fabs. The song and video is my attempt at putting a little bit of the Beatle spirit out there for Beatle fans. It's also my tribute to George Harrison's slide playing as well as Ringo's unique style.
Colin hay was by far the biggest brightest star on that stage, the man is so under rated. MAW so much better than anything that went before or after them, Awesome.
I just cant help but say . . . RINGO ROCKS IN ALL WAYS POSIBLE ON EARTH MARS MERCURY VENUS THE SUN JUPIOR SATURN URANUS NEPTUNE PLUTO AND ALL 12 OF NEPTUNS MOONS!
Colin Hay is surprisingly amazing still. I saw him live in Austin about a year ago. It is one of the top 5 concerts I've ever seen. It's a comedy show/amazing music all at once. I highly recommend one pick up Colin's latest work!
I saw him last night and he was amazing!!! He was talking about playing with Ringo and he said every now and then he'd look back at Ringo and think, "He played in the fucking Beatles.". Then he says Ringo would look back at him with a "Yup. I played in the Beatles." stare. Great show!!!
Wow, what can I say? Fantastic performance! I always loved Men at Work, but Colin Haye, what vocals! Sounds just like he did 28 years ago. And Ringo sounds like he was in Men at Work in their heyday. I would have payed big dollars to see this. Excellent line-up.
i saw ringo at radio city. for my first concert ever id say it was the best ill ever see in my life. I never heard of colin hay or billy squier but now their my favorite musicians best concert ever
Awesome! I saw Ringo and his All Starr band last night. Ringo Starr, Colin Hay, Billy Squier, Edgar Winter, Gary Wright, Hamish Stuart and Gregg Bissonette...How can you beat that?
Love it! The one guy looks kinda like Dave Stewart, no?
