@1454LOU The trouble with modern society is that it doesn’t know the middle way; it’s either excess into booze and drugs or excess into shallow hedonism. Any fledgling revolution was turned on its head by cheap credit 25 years ago; I wonder what type of new revolution massive debt will produce in the near future?
@deathspa202 you did not listen...or maybe you are too young to remember what it was like to live in the time...but what he is talking about is the struggle that black people were fighting...for equality and opportunity in the face of blatant discrimination, abuse, marginalization, neglect and the attempt to impose social genocide...life in the 70's for black people in america.
It works for its intended purpose which is so students have examples of illuminated poetry. When I uploaded this there were a handful, but this genre seems to be growing and if I can be a part of that then I'm happy.

Incorrect. The term used in the poem is Skag, which is a slang term for Heroin.
