From looking at the specs on S9 i would say that the deck isn't too bad at all, but if your trucks are stock you may need to tweek them a bit.

Have a look at pavedwave.

Try loosening the front trucks (or better buy some good, soft bushings for the front, like orange or white khiros).

Try de-wedging the back- and wedging the front.

And if youre not doing it already, put your front foot as near to the truck as possible. But watch out for wheel bite (thats why LDPers have lots of riser)

Don't worry it took me a few months to get it properly. i have gradually improved my hardware so that as i have got a bit better, so has my equipment. If you can afford it i highly recommend a bennet vector front, i just got one and i have gone from pumping sometimes to all the time. As I said though, look at pavedwave; that is a very detailed site devoted to pumping... heaps of good info there.
