If he had said that he was something then wouldn't be able to be "i am". He had to let us decide who he was. He didn't say anything about himself that anyone else couldn't say about themselves. He lets us decide who he is because that is the only objective way to see if the world will recognize him. He becomes real in their hearing.

Jesus is controversial only in a majority Christian country and causes division amongst christians themselves because the biblical stories half attribute him to saying he is seperate to and subordinate to Yahweh while three or four verses *seem* to be him claiming that he is.

Yes and no matter what religion someone says they are in there is the actions thing again. If someone claims to love God yet hates his brother then he is a liar. I think this video shows some anthropological ignorance on the part of the narrator.
