  • 4 people lost there cars

  • I remember when this went on in the atl

  • Like to see one hit College Park and waste it. SW Atlanta is mostly crackhead trash jigaboos.

  • What if it was an f5 tornado, like the one that hit Andover, Kansas back in May 1991?

  • @smoothoperator1986 dont say that i would be in tears if that happen to this city :(

  • The tornado wasn't that big. It was only an EF-2 that caused some pretty good damage. But, be lucky it wasn't a destructive EF-5 that hit towns like Greensburg or Moore,OK in '99. If that happened, the Falcons would be playing with no roof and every building downtown would be heavily damaged or destroyed. Old neighborhoods east of Atlanta wouldn't stand a chance of not being flattened.

  • @GAdawgsfan93 Yea atlanta isnt design for F5 that would've been sad to see this city is to cluttered and the death toll would be staggering

  • yeah I was there and it was a big deal. I lost my best friend there. I was in side the storm as well. it was scary. especially leaving the Georgia Dome and seeing the town that I love in shreds. I was with friends and it was a big deal. the only tornado in Atlanta.

  • my brother and my cousin were running and the tornado was following them...and when they got home they said oh my gosh the rain was following us and it was the tornado.

  • I wasnt saying god hated ppl just baseball lol

  • and im also having my prom at the Omni hotel. LOL

  • I was at Atlanta Medical Center visiting my cousin in the hospital when the tornado ripped through downtown. When I looked out the window I could see the tornado sweeping through the city. It was really scary and werid driving through the damage after it all ended even on the highway.

  • GOD MUST HATE BASEBALL!!! LMFAO

  • God Dos Not Hate Nothing. God Loves Ever one.

  • people have told me they cant explain the sound, i never understood why. now i know, and i will never 4get that sound. ever.

  • i was outside the Georgia Dome. i am 12. my dad and i were trying to get tickets to the uga kentucky game, which origanily wuz scheduled for that nite. we were rite outside Jocks n Jills when my mom called my dad and TRIED to tell him there was a tornado ripping through downtown. as soon as he understood, i heard what sounded like a train, looked up and dirt and cups and beer bottles were all over the place. we had to run into the CNN but the doors blew out. we made it out ok. i will never 4get

  • i was there to I WAS LIKE O CRAP i was preforming in the civic center and all the kids had to get in the basement and wait and the worst part was when we got because we had to watch it!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I live in northern Florida. I had just went thru a tornado the previous month. The one I went thru was not documented by the NWS, and I'm still not sure why.

  • i was staying at the omni hotel at the time. i was like OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHIT!!!!

  • It bent 1 3/8 inch reinforcing steel dowels for columns at a construction site across from Georgia State University.

  • the guy at 1:40 made the players seem like wimps

  • I went on a trip that weekend and when we came back we saw the damage...

  • Wow; I remember it. It was like wow.

  • is has it at Aug 26,2008 to i see it!

  • I WAS THERE

  • This was one of the greatest natural disasters in US History. It was like Katrina divided by 2 million.

  • its may 31 and there is still damage

  • what about now? lol

  • It snows in Arizona all the time, there is more than just desert here, flagstaff gets a lot of snow every year.

  • That guy at 1:28 must have been drinking cus he sounds like he liked it.

  • i was there on Saturday, March28. You can still see alot of the damage.

  • Yea, God missed them (which makes me question His all-knowingness and all-powerfulness). But don't worry, I'm sure with enough practice He'll do better next time. Can you give me a, "Yay God!"?

  • At least there's no serious injuries thats been reported; and hopefully no injuries at all. Not very often we heard urban cities being hit by tornado. But I may be wrong.

  • There were two reported dead and several others injured.

  • There were two reported dead and several others injured.

  • St. Louis has been hit several times, as has Oklahoma City. Salt Lake City was hit a couple years ago and I believe Dallas/Ft Worth has also been hit. Other than Salt Lake City one, which was weaker, I don't believe any of them has hit a downtown area recently, but its going to happen one of these years unfortunately.

  • Jeez. Welcome to Catlanta.

  • Thank you for your video. It is by far one of the best I have seen so far. As a fellow Atlantan who grew up less than 3 miles from the location where the storms hit worse, it is crazy to here people talk about how bad it was. Thanks again! Sherri

  • These are signs for us man.. we need to help eachother out and help this world out.. we're damaging ourselves and this is the outcome of it. This is what the people from the old times predicted. It's happening now. Tsunamis, World Breaking Hurricanes, Tornados in metropolitan areas. A TORNADO HIT BROOKLYN IN 2007. We need to stop ignoring this, This isn't normal to have snow storms in Los Angeles or snow storms in Arizona. These are DESERTS. These are warnings. Meaning it will only get worse.

  • and1strblin is so right about the Cloverfield look! Complete with wobbly cam. Talk about wrong place and wrong time. Hope everyone is ok.

  • it REALLY wasnt that big of a deal

  • how do you even know...where u even there

  • it really wasnt THAT big if a deal, yea I was there

  • haha, yah, wat happened to my comment?

  • OMGZ GLOBAL WARMINGZ RUN FOR COVER

    stupid sheep

  • wow, it looks like the scene from cloverfield

  • EXACTLY what i was thinking lol

  • @and1strtblln i was down there the next and man

  • and its only going to get worse brothers ans sisters!!!

  • Hi all in USA,

    think about this,

    one Orthodox Serbian.

  • I live in Atlanta, and this is a punishment from God, the first drought and now tornadoes, recalling that this God created the world without borders, and hopefully you sonny perdue dies ...

  • man, atlanta is so unlucky, this happened to be one of those times where the place in the video is the exact touch down of the tornado!

  • i hope they got the tornado on video

  • i was supposed to go to downtown Alanta that night for a concert the next day we decided to leave early saturday morning, we were like half way there when we found out a tornado hit when we got to Atlanta it was pretty messed up,the concert was cancelled but i dont really care now. Thank God we didn't leave that night.

  • i was at the embassy sweets right beside the omni hotel.. one of the scariest storms ive evr been in every single car was destroyed

  • GLOBAL WARMING!!!!

  • global warming my ass...why did it snow in texas and arizona....and it has been cold in chicago from october to march and they talking bout some global warming...BULL

  • Global Warming is when the Earth warms and creates more adverse and abnormal weather conditions. Obviously snowing in Texas and being cold in Chicago is that abnormal.

  • wat ru..bill nye the science guy or something...i think snowing in texas and arizona is " abnormal" dont u think.

  • global warming is not just warm weather its change of weather patterns

  • the day after tomorrow ....tornados are very danger bro..

  • If that game hadn't gone into over time, just think of how many people who would have been caught outside in that shit. *shakes head*

  • shit!

  • We are STILL getting bad weather in the metro area. Out here where I live in Newton County (which is about 30 mi. east of atlanta) we've received baseball sized hail and had several tornado touchdowns! SCARY!

  • Thanks for posting the great footage

  • i went driving through for a vacation 10 MINUTES before the storm hit omg it was scary

  • Gosh the storm went right by me, I live in Kennasaw, Too bad for them. Me and my dad went down to check out the damage, it was terrible.

  • same time when the ATLaNTA HAWKS and clippers game was on the philips arena was lucky!

  • WTF? I can SEE the atlanta skyline from outside my neighborhood, and I had no idea any of this was going on..

  • Wow, you're a moron.

  • God thinks that you are a moron. He told me.

  • I work at hte 73rd floor of a hotel downtown and saw the whole thing... Windows blew out and everyone was scared... This was the craziest think I have ever expierenced.. Im glad my family is ok.. I hugged them when i got home

  • Just so glad you're ok, Atlchelle!

  • Better coverage of the event than I've seen on many of the Atlanta TV stations

  • better video coverage than I've seen on many of the Atlanta TV stations

  • Thanks! Sometimes news professionals have a tendency to "overwork" a story. On some events, not everything of course, it's best just to let the people there and the scene tell the story, and just shut up and roll tape. Of course you have to make the right edits, but some "raw" footage purists migh not like that editorial intrusion either!

  • just missed the Georgia Lottery Building where my dad works!

  • I live very close to that area as well and there were distinct atmospheric signs outside my home that something crazy was happening! Hope you are well. hmarty

  • I live about 8 miles NW of the Dome probably 5 miles as the crow flies and you could hear it and the lightning display was incredible. When the hail started where I live, I new it was a tornado. Great video. Thanks for posting. Be safe! Vote2008

  • Was downtown when it hit. It was freaking nuts. Passed two blocks from my house. We were very lucky.

  • I live about 15-20+ (depending on day/ traffic) from the sports centers.. I goto GA State Uni. live on the top/8th floor of my dorm. Me and roomie saw East Atl get destroyed. looked like giant electrical explosions, best guess were 30+ transformers blew out.. I saw debree slamming the bank/office across teh street, like BIG debree, something I coudlnt put m arms around jsut flying through the air like paper. i can go on, but im running out of characters, you get the point.. it was unexpected..

  • Nice!

  • Thanks for posting this video

  • They are lucky to be alive.

    Thanks for posting.

  • that is bad and scary.we had a thuderstorm here oklahoma tonight.power was out about 50 miles or more south of me.

  • Ft. Worth TX, March 28 all over again, damn that has to suck to have a downtown area of a big metro area get hit by a twister.

  • Thanks for the vid. For some reason none of the news channels (CNN and HeadlineNews in Atlanta included) actually broadcast news at 3AM. Nice job.
