@mmmmmhotdogs to prevent you from flipping over only in slow speed when you are going downhill on steep angle, and also when u hit a big boulders, that will push the front of the car up to help front tires reaching the boulders. usually the shackles placed a little more behind for smooth angle. it looks like one of those bolt on kit. in indonesia we usually just weld the damn thing so it could be use to help you climb up at higher speed. or u can always reposition the front wheels more forward.

Why not use paddle tires? I notice on all videos of Jeeps with Hemi conversions don't use paddles, when they have enough power to turn them. The transmission, axles, and drive shafts wouldn't have too much stress. Just curious???
