Well actually Yamaha came out with a 2009 YFZ450 and then a few months after announcing the new 2009 Yamaha ATV's they announce the new YFZ450r(Fuel injected bike). They did this to throw off the Hondam dorks. Pissed alot of Yamaha fans off because they purchased the carb bike and then heard they released the fuel injected bike. But Yamaha DID have a 2009 YFZ and also 2009 YFZ450r. Weird...yes I know.

not a 2009. 2009 is wider, stance is different. has EFI. yours sounds like a carb. has a rubber ligning along the tank for comfort, has a bolted hybrid frame.
