  • A most haunting rendetion by NFAK. God bless him. This piece reminds me of Azeem Prem Ragi, probably the greatest qawal of the 20th century. You tube does not have any thing by him. Can someone post qawalis sung by Azeem Prem Ragi?

  • @saqibtahir Urdu translation

خوش رہ اے ہمارے اچھے جنون والے عشق، (تُو جو کہ) ہماری تمام علّتوں کا طبیب ہے۔

(تو جو کہ) ہماری نفرت اور ناموس (حاصل کرنے کی ہوس) کی دوا ہے، تو جو ہمارا افلاطون اور جالینوس ہے۔

    --------

  • @saqibtahir . جناب طاہر صاحب،

کیا نصرت فتح علی خان کا اسی انداز میں کوءیی اور کلام ہے؟ اگر ہے تو براءیے مہربانی اس کا لنک یہاں دے دیجیءے۔ ۔ ۔ یہ بہت ہی روح پرور انداز ہے۔

  • @imranahmad131 This song is taken from "Vision II: Spirit of Rumi. produced by Graeme Revell and Roger Mason". This is a rare album that contains three songs from NFAK. I found this album in a library in Canada. You can find another on Muqam-eHoo in my collection.

  • Unbelieveable, right?

  • can anyone write lyrics.........and translation.

  • Here are the farsi lyrics as I can hear:

shaad bashi ishq khush sodai maa

aye tabeebi jumla illat haye maa

jism khak az ishq bar aflaak shud

koh dar raqs aamad o chalak shud

aqal amad deen o dunya shud kharab

ishq amad dard o alam kaamyaab

    zindagi amad baraye bandagi

  • and the corresponding Urdu is easy to get from these (and someone else did an approx). Here is the (lit) english:

Hail Love, that brings us happiness - you the physician of all our ills

Our earthy body is elevated to the skies due to Love

It makes the mountains dance and come alive

Rationality ruins this world and the hereafter,

Love comes and makes both worlds a success

This life is given for devotion to God

  • Thank you brother for translating for us, may Alllah bless you

  • @lovelyshaby

Excellent translation, but the last verse (at least the first part is) is:

    "Zindagi Aaamad baraaey Bandagi, (recited)

    Zindagi, Be-bandagi Sharmandagi" (not recited)

    Translated it means (Urdu):

Zindagi dar haqeeqat tab milti hay jab bandagi naseeb ho,

Zindagi baghayyr bandagi kay, sahrmandagi hi hoti hay`

    English Translation:

`Life begins with submission (i couldn't think of an better word)

life without submission is a shame'
