  • Dude. Thanks for taking the time out for making these videos. I just got a Ruger P89 and I now know how to disassemble, clean and reassemble the gun. After awhile it gets easier and easier like you said. My thanks and Merry Christmas 2011.

  • @Ozgard13 This guy passed away...

  • Great videos I haven't cleaned my P95 yet because I'm afraid I'll mess it up. Now I think I have the knowledge to do this. Thanks.

  • I have NEVER seen someone use that much oil on a gun lol. That gun must be gunked up FAST with all that oil. You need a few drops at best. $10 pistol cleaning kit will work wonders

  • Paper towel and a toothbrush?!come on man!and I think you will never need to oil that gun again!skip a range session and buy a dang cleaning kit!15 dollars kid!

  • hey could you use silicon oil instead of rem oil

  • dude u use wayyy to much rem.

  • Heey can any one tell me what places sell hoopes#9 and how much does it cost.

  • Sorry but this could be one of the most haphazard cleaning jobs I've ever seen. A lot of work for a pistol that still isn't clean.

  • nice video, but way too much oil...

  • nice video, but way too much oil!!!

  • Great video just got me a p89DC and i apreciate the vid. Dont know how 2 rate though.

  • Good job on the vid. I have owned my P89 for 15 years. Great little pistol.

  • man u use way too much oil

  • @twiztedlove69 you never use too much oil :)

  • I appreciate these videos man. I just bought one of these, and I had no idea on how to take appart, or clean it. good stuff.

  • @bobguything No problem. I'm glad to help. You can always repay me by subscribing :P

  • @HCDDWarhero: Hey bro. I just bought my first gun, it's a Lady Smith. I know how to shoot 9mm's, 45's, 22's, and Glocks, but I've never learned how to clean them. Could you post a step by step instruction on disassembly techniques?

  • no biggie but you didn't clean the spring or rod in the video. just wondering if its necessary to do? thanks for the video man A+

  • It is not necessary just because it never gets that dirty. It's kind of like the magazines, you don't really need to clean them, but it isn't a bad idea.

  • Great video, very detailed, thanks.

  • possibly one of the most detailed, thorough videos I've seen. Well done.

And great for me too, because mine's a P89 as well. :)

  • good vid. informative and thorough

  • thanks...i appreciate the tutorial

  • first time to clean my para p14.45 hi-cap limited last night. i was afraid to clean it because i didnt know what i was doing.. but i decided to f#$ck it and start cleaning anyways... the gun looked clean but i made a failure of a mess dirt everywhere and spilled my gun oil on the bedroom floor. the wifey wasnt happy about it, i ended up cleaning the room for a good hour or so... it stinked and the smell made me woozie..

  • Well that hoppes stuff sure isn't good for you, but I personally like the smell of it.

  • are you using lub , or powder solvant?

  • Hoppes #9 its a solvant.

  • like my firearms instructer said clean it to where you can eat off it

  • took me 1 hour to clean lol :) thanks :)

  • wow and it took me 4 hours to tear my P89 DC apart and clean it. I like to use the plastic dental picks (walmart where the gun cleaning equip. is) to get in the tight spots. I also took apart the magazines and cleaned them inside and out. I like to put a little oil on the patch and run it threw the barrel, just to get a light coat on the inside, not too much.

Range master had us drop the mags in the dirt when we reloaded. Tacktically smart, but it was hell cleaning all the sand out of there.

  • The magazines almost never have to be cleaned on the inside. i shot about 700 rounds out of one of my mags and i cleaned it inside and it was almost perfect still.

  • I bought the gun in 1992 and countless shots and have never cleaned the magazines, but by dropping it in sugar sand, then reloading, the sand got EVERYWHERE inside the mag and threwout the gun via the rounds. So no you dont need to clean the magazines often, but pay attention to where you drop them.

  • As shown in my "Tactical Shooting and Run" video I do drop the magazines but I always try to get a plateform such as a tarp or something. I never intentionally drop them in dirt unless I have to. But dropping mags in sugar sand will get em' dirty :P

  • What's that supposed to mean? You think it's too rough of a clenaing?

  • I´m not an expert , but i think that the barrel doesn´t must be oiled in the inside, just outside... anyways that is a great guide video ....nice job

  • The pistol doesn't NEED to be cleaned or oiled at all, but to properly clean it and maintain the pistol, it does include oiling the inside of the barrell, but thank you anyways.

  • Thank you, please subscribe.

  • Good job.

  • Alright I'm doing it in like 10 minutes.

  • yeah if u can :)

  • Want me to do a video on that? I sure will.
