  • you`re good

  • I am a portrait artist too, and I appreciate good works like this

yes, this is a FINE ART drawing, not one of those from photo copied photo-like drawings with stiff figures with frozen smiles

to achieve this also the pencil has to be hold in a loose way like this

  • this was amazing, how simple lines fell in place to form such a realistic portrait. you're really a force of nature!

  • Are they derwent charcoal pencils what makes them different from the graphite ones also i love your style if drawing.

  • what exact shade is the pencil ? 2b ?

  • @culkin80 it's soft charcoal pencil, charcoal pencils are not usually graded with letters.

  • i really Love Your Drawing, Real Portraits Art Work. I Prefer this kind of Rough Drawing then portrait which look likes photograph.

    AWESOME man.

  • You do great job but you show us by these vids that you can draw but not to teach us. first steps have to be slower and deeper so we learn more. best regards

  • Love the portrait but u didn't teach me anything but to hate my art even more! Ohh and I like how u hold your pencil! Ps what art supplys are u using dude?

  • how do u draw holding a pencil like thats

  • like that a lot.

  • the distance between the lips and the bottom of the nose looks too far as does the chin is it supposed to look like its streched?

  • @TheRisingforce2000 the man has a beard.

  • can u make my youtube channel photo?? :)

  • Unbiliwibul!!!!

  • 0:27 repeatedly... hmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • i like your process and enjoy seeing your studies progress. awesome.

  • It's different to some of your others - but I'm assuming it's because you've used a softer pencil?

And I suppose with portraits you can *say more* by doing *less* if you know what I mean.

He looks like he's saying "Why is that man looking at me?" lol

    Keep it up! :)

  • a real artist ...gongrats :)

  • wow how fast did u speed that up pencil go wierd with frame rate

  • dam amazin how people can draw so realisitic lookin people, wish one day i can draw like this, so i can draw my idol kobe.

  • @heartbreakdrakemusic

great drawers never 'wished" that theyd be great in the future. They are enthusiastic about everything they draw in the now...

  • @stickybelvedere thats a good comment,step by step,drawing by drawing.

  • is this all freehand

  • what kind of pencil is that ?

  • @enjoytahiti soft charcoal pencil.

  • very nice

  • enjoyed watching, nice approach, I exclusively use willow charcoal for it's softness,

  • I ALSO USING MY FINGER TO MAKE THE SHADOWS IN THE FACE LOOK MORE REALISTIC WHEN I'M DRAWING!!!!!!

  • great job

  • THAT IS AWESOME

  • wheres the beard?

  • brilliant!!!!! can't even do a one eigth of that...

  • Great, I'm so much into drawing now so it's really cool only to look on it, even not drawing it.... haha

  • Great job,i've never seen someone using the pencil in that way

  • WOW such a good work....

  • Proves that photorealism isn't the only genre of modern western drawing. Very dramatic, I really like the style.

  • I think I need to learn to develop a better structural skeleton when I draw.

  • thanks you help me a lot...very good

  • you are good, but it will be better that we can see a model too...

  • i dont like the smoothing with finger technique (it looks a bit dirty) but great job, i would like to see a pic of the real person tho!!!! =)

  • wow! this is amazing. its really different from most of the rubbish drawings out there that are trying to make stuff look too realistic and boring. nice work

  • 4:12 when you´re smoothing with your finger ... a teacher i had in school that was teaching me some art lessons - you know what I mean :-D some children painting and so ... would say : It is wrong to smooth with finger ! You are supposed to do it with your pencil .... Man I hated that bitch ! xD

  • there's no rules per se, but when you smooth with your finger you really do risk your oils making it completely un-erasable

  • dude the way you hold the pencil is so awesome!!! i tryed it and im drawing better.

  • wow, this is so amazing, 5/5 :D

  • The draw just came alive in front of my eye. Congratulations for the beautiful work!

  • That was fun watching, good work.

  • so perfect~

  • I love the 'roughness' of this drawing, really hate all those over smoothed, dull, shining drawings that are out there.

    Really interesting portrait.

  • that's cause he isn't tracing

  • I could not agree more, some of those oversmoothed portraits look like a blurred vision of the person or a bit like an underpainting.

  • i bet that is you :)

  • no :)

  • Such lovely work! I love portraits.

  • Wow well done!
