cabin for the captain of the ship is the biggest, other crew members have for each smaller cabins, one bed, bathroom and a coffee table and possible refrigerator. food depends on chef and food management by the captain or the company
@DuskbatRabbit, in addition to what Fidello0690 said, there's usually a dayroom or two for the crew. There might be local requirements as well, for example in Finland every Finnish ship is required to have a sauna for the crew. I've also seen swimming pools, club rooms (bar, big TV, couches, game consoles etc.), gyms etc. even on smaller ships.
@DuskbatRabbit as fidelio said, the captains cabin is the biggest one but I think that on our ship, the chief's cabin is just as big. they have office, dayroom, bedroom and bathroom. then the chief officer and 1:st engineer has a little bit smaller cabins and 2:nd engineer, 2:nd officer, bosun etc. has even smaller cabins. and the rest of the crew has one combined bedroom/dayroom and a bathroom. but everyone has got their own cabins.
@DuskbatRabbit then there are officers dayroom, crew dayroom with 48" TV and 5.1 sound, officers mess, crew mess, dirty mess, club room, gym, sauna. The food on our ship is really good, ribs and fried potatoes yesterday, and that was just a regular wednesday :) on fridays we always get a great steak and a glass of wine!
We also have broadband internet and all the latest movies on dvd!
