he only left out the part that the people's vote doesn't count toward the president, it goes to what called the popular vote. which pretty much means what it's called "we like this guy" its the members of the electoral college of each state that decides which guy that state is for. this has happened 4 times(google it). so ya, your vote doesn't technically get a guy elected but it may help push the ones that does.
