  • This song is legendary. I love it. Lake wrote it when he was 12, and the Emerson's perfect solo was a first take, an improvisation as they had to write a filler in a hurry .......

  • love this song

  • I saw a range-fed white horse that was being ridden by an obese women.

  • Great song... A helluva a lot better than the shit you hear today...

It was a time back then when talent actually mattered, not like today, where non-talented ass holes seem to make it big. *Sigh*

    I miss the 70's :(

  • This music brings back memories of me and my dad, I even went out and found the vynil at a local out door market, im glad I was raised on this music.

  • thanks for posting!

  • Looks sort of like the Parthenon, but I've never seen it from that angle so it's hard to say.

  • What an amazing combination, each member of ELP an absolute virtuoso.

  • 4:00 what's on the background ?

  • a moog synthesizer

  • no, i mean the building....

  • lol my bad, i don't know i didn't watch it

  • Thanks to my dad, I can appreciate great music like this... Being 18, everyone thinks I only listen to Rap and some really shitty pop music.. But Naw, I LOVE THE CLASSICS.. Wish I could have lived during this music era..

  • Yeah.....but just think how old you'd be right now.(Like me)Enjoy the hell out of being 18. Congrats on your superior musical taste

  • Classic!

  • I love the sound of the drums in this song.

  • What a song!

  • great song this rocks!!!

  • wow what a chorus. so good. I wish music would turn around and ply good now

  • Great Song!!

  • Loved cranking this song up and vibrating the shit out of everything. One of the all time best!!!

  • I also have found that this song is rather unique, if you play it loud!especially the finale keyboard part. That sort of discovery never happens now a days.

  • Probably one of the best songs of that era.

Comparable to "Miracle" by Jefferson starship!

  • I had this as a 45...I LOVED it. They do make music like this anymore!

  • One of my all time favorite bands. Saw them twice in Montreal 1979, 1980. Thanks for sharing, and thanks to sailor for the share. Peace!

  • That's the thing about one hit or one album wonders. Greatness just seems to fade away. Great song, great band. To this day.

  • canción bonita donde las haya

  • ELP got their name after Crosby, Stills & Nash.

  • me acuerdo cuando caminaba por la colonia vista hermosa en san salvador que dias aquellos

  • In the early 70's ELP 1 WAS the rock album "audiophiles" used to show off. The deep synth note at 4:13, as well as the "cymbal phasing" and intense low freq. content of "Tank" was far beyond other bands of the day. By the way-- summer of '77 I was a lucky man as I was able to see Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin,The Who and ELP LIVE--- care to guess which band had the best LIVE sound setup? ELP kicked uber-ass. Frankly-Lake WAS the ONLY one able to perform a "studio quality" vocal set LIVE.

  • Amazing song!!

  • Love this song. I used to listen it when I was a teanager all of the time. Rocked out with these giant headphones. They were the coolest.

  • Hey Paul.. Yoy

  • They didn't reach the "greatness" most people thought they'd reach, but they had this great song. Fonder times in NJ.

  • I heard this when I was 9 at about the time this came out.My cousin, who was in his 20's at the time let me hear his ELP album!!I thought this was so cool!! My first taste of real music!

  • um....you might have a crush on your cousin

  • Epic

  • Simply perfect! There is a great performance somewhere else on youtube where Greg Lake sings this song just playing his acoustic guitar. The guitar solo and the Moog part at the end are making from it an absolute masterpiece.

  • First time i heard it when i was 6 years old,i thought i'm getting mad :)

  • Many don't realize that Greg Lake performed acoustic guitar, lead guitar, bass and all the vocals on this track. What a talent.

  • Even more impressive was that he wrote it when he was a 12-year-old kid. How's that for talent?

  • Woah, really? That's insane! Genius...

  • What a great powerful song. Timeless & outstanding. Simple & wize. LOVE it !

  • Still a favorite of mine almost 40 years later. This was rock with a brain

  • Great Song!!

  • Wow first time I heard this was in the early 70's and the synthesiser freeked us all out,

  • MOOG!
