no because the v8 is working less hard it is using less of its power to get it moving even though the v8 has more cylinders it uses less of its power to get it moving. the v6 will have to use more of its power. its just like when you are pushing the pedal to the floor. lets say someone owns a 4 cylinder equinox and some one else owns a camaro ss. if the guy in the equinox puts the pedal to the floor and the guy in the camaro cruises then the guy in the camaro will get the best mpg
you would get better fuel economy and the honda wouldnt be good at serious off roading because it has a uni body so if you go over rocks or something your frame can bend also the ridgeline has a crappy tow load because of the unibody and you cant put heavy things in the bed
i dont know why theyre comparing this truck to that honda ridgeline the hondas a car in disguise the honda has a u body this has frame which means you cant do any serious off roading without your frame breaking the thing can only tow 3000 pounds less than my 2000 blazer which tows 5000 and this is built ford tough hondas arent the GMs are great too
@atgskater14 the honda ridgeline looks like it and i think was designed to meet similar needs, also it is a honda, so it has the good reliability that GM and Chrystler and especially not Ford can say
ford and GM are actually getting 5 star reliability ratings the ridgeline sucks its a piece of shit that is incapable of doing any work whatsoever the explorer sport trac has better work characteristics a fully box frame that is rigid and ford is leading the u.s in sales
Hummm, 107 years experience isn't enough? That's double honda's time on this earth, not to mention Ford DO get 5 star reliability as atgskater14 mentioned... FACT
All are very close in appearence, preformance and virtually every aspect of the vechicle, I am not a "fanboy" of any car company, it just seems there is alot of bias being strewn about...
If your looking for a fullsize truck "like" small truck, athe ford has most hauling/towing with substantial amount of features
dont buy!!! they lied about the off road, mine flipped so easy. lol after a new windshield, fixed alingnment, side mirror, and dents taken out i guess its not that bad
Is the Sport Trac going to survive when the Explorer is redesigned within the next two years or so?
I really like the Adrenalin model but I wanted to wait until a more powerful engine was available. Very impressive truck when I drove it. The Dakota and Ridgeline where the only two trucks I compared it to, but this seemed like the best overall.
I like the looks of this vehicle. My dad has an '03 & it's pretty cool. It has 160k miles now & has had only a few problems just recently, such as the alternator burning out & such, but has been a very reliable truck. It's getting old now so he might sell it this next year or so. I told him if he gets a current generation one, he should go for the V-8 engine. It's quieter than the V-6 & gets around the same mileage.
My '04, after a lifetime of being coddled and cared for, literally came unglued at 50K miles. At about $500/month in repairs, every month, I can't recommend one to anyone. :(
I have an 04. One of the best vehicles I have ever owned I beat the piss out it and it takes it with no problems.

@TerminaorXX he says that the v8 gets better fuel economy than the v6
atgskater14 1 year ago
@atgskater14
how is that even posible
TerminaorXX 1 year ago
@TerminaorXX
the v6 has to work more to get it moving

so? like doest the V8 use more gas?

@TerminaorXX
