  • I have an 04. One of the best vehicles I have ever owned I beat the piss out it and it takes it with no problems.

  • 240p? come on...

  • i have 01 sporttrac and yes a 4 wheeler fits i dont know why ford made the new 2011 explorer fwd and a car chasis that sucks ass

  • Had a 2000, wish I had never gotten rid of it.

  • I've got the 2003 .. and it's fantastic ... Might get the new one ... it sounds good to have a pickup truck always :D

  • @althonealexis Im thinking of getting one as a first car next year Do you think its an ok idea Or would a standard Explorer be better?

  • I may get a ford explorer sport trac

  • I can imagine, this thing is gone now that the explorer has been ruined (fwd v6).

  • they should make one out of a ford escape

  • @Alex19al Front wheel drive? No thanks.

  • Does it come with the girl? If it does I'm set to buy one now.

  • I like this truckish suv but it needs ecoboost

  • Hopefully a third generation will appear a year or so after the Explorer is remodeled late next year.

  • When he says at 5:15 about the v8 engince dos he say its better the v6 than a v8?

  • @TerminaorXX he says that the v8 gets better fuel economy than the v6

  • @atgskater14

    how is that even posible

  • @TerminaorXX

the v6 has to work more to get it moving

  • @atgskater14

so? like doest the V8 use more gas?

  • @TerminaorXX

no because the v8 is working less hard it is using less of its power to get it moving even though the v8 has more cylinders it uses less of its power to get it moving. the v6 will have to use more of its power. its just like when you are pushing the pedal to the floor. lets say someone owns a 4 cylinder equinox and some one else owns a camaro ss. if the guy in the equinox puts the pedal to the floor and the guy in the camaro cruises then the guy in the camaro will get the best mpg

  • @atgskater14

but like so if i were to purchase then the V8 i would get better feul efficiency ?

  • @TerminaorXX

you would get better fuel economy and the honda wouldnt be good at serious off roading because it has a uni body so if you go over rocks or something your frame can bend also the ridgeline has a crappy tow load because of the unibody and you cant put heavy things in the bed

  • i dont know why theyre comparing this truck to that honda ridgeline the hondas a car in disguise the honda has a u body this has frame which means you cant do any serious off roading without your frame breaking the thing can only tow 3000 pounds less than my 2000 blazer which tows 5000 and this is built ford tough hondas arent the GMs are great too

  • @atgskater14 the honda ridgeline looks like it and i think was designed to meet similar needs, also it is a honda, so it has the good reliability that GM and Chrystler and especially not Ford can say

  • ford and GM are actually getting 5 star reliability ratings the ridgeline sucks its a piece of shit that is incapable of doing any work whatsoever the explorer sport trac has better work characteristics a fully box frame that is rigid and ford is leading the u.s in sales

  • @atgskater14

    why would the honda suck?

  • @Lexolo999

Hummm, 107 years experience isn't enough? That's double honda's time on this earth, not to mention Ford DO get 5 star reliability as atgskater14 mentioned... FACT

All are very close in appearence, preformance and virtually every aspect of the vechicle, I am not a "fanboy" of any car company, it just seems there is alot of bias being strewn about...

If your looking for a fullsize truck "like" small truck, athe ford has most hauling/towing with substantial amount of features

  • @atgskater14

so then the ridge line is not good for off roading?

  • Love my 2007 Limited Edition model. Still only 20k + on it.

  • generation 1 sport tracs are the best!!!!!

  • dont buy!!! they lied about the off road, mine flipped so easy. lol after a new windshield, fixed alingnment, side mirror, and dents taken out i guess its not that bad

  • thats now gonna stop me from buying one. i wouldn't take a vehicle like this through an area where it could roll.... thats just dumb....

  • i bet it didnt rool or u just fucked into a rock

  • Is the Sport Trac going to survive when the Explorer is redesigned within the next two years or so?

I really like the Adrenalin model but I wanted to wait until a more powerful engine was available. Very impressive truck when I drove it. The Dakota and Ridgeline where the only two trucks I compared it to, but this seemed like the best overall.

An EcoBoost model would be cool.

  • they are replacing teh ranger with this truck. aparently it has pwned the ranger in sales.

  • ya an ecoboost would be cool i like the sport trac very much

  • @TheNewMrCool

I read it will not survive past 2011-2012

  • I like the looks of this vehicle. My dad has an '03 & it's pretty cool. It has 160k miles now & has had only a few problems just recently, such as the alternator burning out & such, but has been a very reliable truck. It's getting old now so he might sell it this next year or so. I told him if he gets a current generation one, he should go for the V-8 engine. It's quieter than the V-6 & gets around the same mileage.

  • lol who said the ridgeline looks better?

  • pretty sure i can get up to 24mpg on a road trip not barely 20

  • I've got sport trac 07' - looks better than Honda Ridgeline.

Ford have a more powerfull engine and confortable interior. I love it!

  • i own a honda ridgeline it is hore handy and definatly looks a lot better.

  • At least the sport track is built on a truck frame.

  • I drive an 01 with 150K on it and it still does pretty good

  • My '04, after a lifetime of being coddled and cared for, literally came unglued at 50K miles. At about $500/month in repairs, every month, I can't recommend one to anyone. :(

  • is this truck smaller then the 09 toyota tacoma?

  • It's not

  • i got the 01 it's pretty nice

  • @NoRwAy331

do u know if the bed can fit a 4 wheeler?

  • i have an 02 since the day it was born, now at 100k still no problems =)

  • anyone know anything about the 2001 model? like pros and cons, i am curious since i am thinking about buying one.

  • i've had mine since 02. besides normal wear and tear no mjor problems. Ford did well on this one

  • i want to know if there are tranny problems i this 09 model? if you have had any trubles with suspension or somethig?

  • just got an 04 today perfect condition

  • I've been keeping my eye on these, i will probably get a older one in a couple of years

  • very nice car ive had the 2002 model and now i got another one the 2009 and its really nice. better than my neighbors avalanche.

  • not bad

  • Cool
